I love this place with a passion. They always treat me with such hospitality, like a VIP member that I am! I love Tempe improv and I love comedy!

Great service! Excellent entertainment. Nachos are a good deal and great tasting! Would love not to pay $14 for an iced tea... But everything else was great!
Great comedy club. Easy parking and they always have fun comedians!
Great comedians at a good venue. Gopd drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. Also they were wheel chair friendly wich is a plus!!!
I reserved dinner seats so that we could enter early and be seated before the rest of the crowd as per their advertisement. When I got there there was a huge line and no one directing anyone and it was nearly impossible to get up to the front doors. We ended up waiting out in the Arizona Heat with the rest of the line and even though we got in a few minutes earlier than a few other people we were still obligated to buy dinner which arrived late and because it was a taping we were told that we would have our food taken before the Final Act. On top of already being agitated with that we were squished in our seats like sardines and the seats we're facing sideways to the stage so you had to turn your neck a full 90 degrees in order to see.
My husband and I were kicked out because the couple next to us wouldn t stop talking to us. I will never return to Tempe Improv.
Even though the food & drinks are a lil over priced. I really enjoy the comedy shows.
Love the layout, the wait staff and the service. I have visited here a few times within the last year and the Tempe Improv venue consistently provides an incredible experience. I have never attended a show and been disappointed. And tonight's comedian, Vir Das, is by far my favorite act thus far. Keep doing what you're doing, Tempe Improv. I'll keep giving you my money.
Awesome place, awesome vibes and awesome chicken wings!
Just saw Jay Mohr... very funny... his first performance back since C-19... it was worth it just for the Walken impression... best in the biz... it was a bittersweet V-Day performance which I personally thought was apropos... the Improv gave me 2 passes for 2 for buying the drink specials... will definitely come back with those and definitely come back in June to see Whitney Cummings!
I've experienced 7 shows at this Venue and I had the opportunity to enjoy Brian Swinehart and Special L.A. Guests. His show topped them all! I highly recommend the next show "B-SWINE" performs!
We had a group of 8. We wanted to get there early for drinks and dinner. Only 7 of us could make it early and they refused to seat us all together. I understand why they have a rule in place to not seat incomplete parties, but the manager should have made an exception for us. I even offered to buy a drink and a plate of food to put in front of the seat, to not appear empty. It did not turn out like we expected.
What a great time. Laughter, great people, drinks & delicious food.
As a women I was very dis-satisfied with this experience! I would never recommend it to anyone. Very poor language, sexual context, pornography reference ect. They even went as far as creating humor with abortions!! Very very low class. Went on a date with my husband to enjoy the night and walked out early $40 later (SODA ONLY!).
PS. They charge gratuity 15% no matter what!
Jess Hilarious was of course HILARIOUS! Good Drinks & Great service from Carlos!
I was afraid that I'd have a terrible seat between covid social distancing and the fact that VIP tickets were sold out. Nope! Wonderful seats, clear view of the stage, cheap food and drinks. Plus, Rob schneider.. enough said
Excellent service , the staff were very attentive even if there was such a huge crowd they were on top of everything, the owner is such a nice man even he was there to show his guest around, first time being here and definitely the best experience, thank you!
Won 4 tickets. It's there way of getting people to come in . But totally worth it. Food is always good and the entertainment has never let me down .
Sometimes the smaller name people are more fun...
Always have a good time but wish they could improve the menu choices with better options for "finger food" when you just want something to snack on.
Pricey two drink minimum. Intimate venue. Good views of stage. Fair acoustics, may just be the way they hold the mike
I came to Tempe Improv for the first time this past Sunday to film a comedian in town from New York and my experience was exceptional. The entire staff including Dannon, Lisa, Drew & Chad were extremely accommodating, hospitable and responsive. I had a great time here and I hope to be in attendance at Tempe Improv again soon!
Great service, great food. Servers were polite and on top of getting our drinks quick.
Went and see Alex remundo was great. Tickets affordable. They get you on the drinks
Love Tempe Improv, and i like the free monthly tickets they give away. Many laughs and great Customer Service.
The show was really good just the 2 drink min is in place thede the prices are alot so that part sucked
Comedians were great! We paid for tickets and there was a two drink minimum. Drinks were a huge ripoff ($6.75 for a coke). Will never go here again because of the drinks.
Service as usual was bad. We sat an hour before someone took our orders and that was only because we got the attention of another server and she sent someone over.
Tempe Improv is one of my favorite venues. It's not too big and they often have main stream comedians. . Affordable and entertaining date night option.
This place has a two drink minimum and if your thinking you can just order water or soda don't bother it costs just as much as a beer. And if you order a drink at the bar while an opener is on stage it doesn't count towards your two drinks. Even the drinks on special were way over priced. We tried to complain to the manager and he said he would take care of it then turned around and add it to our friends tab after we let early upset. The comedians were great this place is just run poorly.
Great show had a blast. Got called up on stage made it even better.
It was just our luck to get terrible service. And the instigating customer to get their way. Oh well.
Had an excellent evening, Bob Marley was excellent! Seating is a little odd since the remodel, but had an excellent time none the less.
We went to the Improv for a show last weekend. Ordered a plate of chicken tenders along with our rather expensive and mandatory 2 drinks per person. 30 minutes into the main act, we finally receive our food. The chicken was served halfway raw. Our waitress took the plate away without so much as an apology or an offer for another plate of food, and she didn't bother to check in on us until she tossed the check our way.
The act itself was the only redeeming quality of the evening. We won't be returning.
The waiters will spend more time telling you that there's a 2 drink minimum than they do asking if you want to order anything. Once you've ordered two you won't see them again. They also include 20% tip on the check which is fine, but it seems they're trying to trick you into tipping another 20% on the total. They also cram everyone as close to possible and last time gave away my seat to a couple when I went to the bathroom lol. I was with a group of people and not even on the end. Then the couple refused to move, not really an issue but a funny example of what they're like.
The show was great, but hard to hear due to waitstaff talking behind me.
This was my view. These seats shouldn't haven't even been sold. Not to mention a security guard kept posting right on the corner of the wall which added more obstruction to the view. The show sounded pretty good but didnt see much.
Waited at lease 15mins before are order was taken understanding current climate but comedy club aren't fully packed it's sad.
They bring in a good variety of comics we love... Food is good, drinks are good and staff is always awesome!
Food is okay n too expensive but Corey Holcomb was hilarious
It was my first time and I really enjoyed myself. The staff was friendly and the our server was terrific. I definitely would recommend it to everyone and i would go again.
Great service and did great with social distancing.
Seating is tight. Should give you time to eat your food
Very funny comics! Awesome wait staff, a great night out...
First communion was good minutes left second comedian spoke too quickly and the audio was not that good
Peter Lee was great! Staff and building follow social distancing well.
Buy the pitcher of beer or soda very two glasses and V.I.P. TICKETS TO A FUTURE SHOW!
Awesome place, food, staff, and shows!! It's a must go for a great time!
Great place to go for comedy. They have high talent and local talent. The food/snacks are ok and the drinks are a little expensive (just like every other comedy club). I love going often.
Wish the drinks werent so expensive but the show is always fun!
It is a bit pricey but it was fun and the Comedian Zach Tunstill is hilarious. There was a few others that were funny but I have to say he was the best.
We saw Ari Shaffir not too long ago and it was so fun! All the employees are very nice and the venue was beautiful. Communal seating wasn't ideal but it was fine. I do have to say, the bartender has a VERY heavy hand. Some don't mind that though. Definitely planning on going back!
Always a good time here. People love Arizona so there is always someone popular on stage here.
Great food (best nachos in the east valley), and good laughs. Take your special someone out and enjoy a nice evening!
Th r comedians as usual were great but the parking is a nightmare and the drinks are way overpriced especially when you have a 2 drink min per person.
It's always a good time, the comics are always entertaining. I've been going for years, was impressed with their new remodeling, and a whole extra stall in the Women's bathroom. The service is pretty good, quick back with drinks and apps. My server did forget to bring sugar for the coffee, and couldn't locate her to correct it. Expect to spend a decent amount for drinks, $16 for a strawberry peach martini . The appetizer was delicious, Spinach artichoke dip, more reasonably priced at only $10. Overall, I do enjoy this place, and will continue to go.
I just got home seeing Flip the hypnotist. Enjoyed myself with my family. Until I received my check. There was 4 of us and only had sodas cause I was going to take my family out to dinner afterwards. Well that was out of the question. Ended up having grilled cheese for dinner at home. Cause our bill was $60 for 4 sodas unlimited. So we had 2 sodas each. So instead of going home full of laughs but went home upset and confused.
We were amazed at the welcome we received.I am hard of hearing and the manager put us up front next to the stage!Thank You !
If you want to have a good time and laugh, don't go to Tempe Improv. We had this young couple sitting in front of us. The group in front of them complained and got them kicked out. The couple had to lean into each other to talk. We could barely hear them across the 3' table. Those complainers didn't stay for the entire show. Way to ruin a couples second date.
Added bonus , they waited until after they paid the bill to kick them out.
Alyssa and Forrest, we enjoyed your company and don't let others ruin your night.
Packed venue. Overall pretty good besides the two drink min and the fact the drinks are $15.
Amazing performance by all 3 acts! What puts this place over the top is the attention paid to the customers. Before during and after show begins.
only drawback is the chairs are really close together, so as long as your an extrovert and love getting to know your neighbors than you're good. Bar keep makes a mean makers old fashioned.
Absolutely terrible service, server kept touching me to get my attention. Will never go there again and will suggest others find different plans for the night.
Place is always full of laughs. Service time was a bit long, but understanding when it's a sold out crowd
Great service, entertaining comedians, chocolate cake was on point.
Josh Wolf and the others before him, HILARIOUS! Loved the show!
Edit: A big thank you to the manager, Brad, at the Improv for being willing to rectify this situation and contacting me regarding this the same day. I appreciate the effort and have corrected my rating to reflect the great service I ve had at the venue itself and not just the issue below.
Don t often post reviews, but this one is more to do with the calls associated with this place. I haven t had a bad experience at the venue, however I must have ended up on a ticket list at some point. I get cold calls every couple of weeks for shows and ticket opportunities and I appreciate the gesture.
However, I received a call today from a male rep asking if I had time for a show tomorrow. I told him I did not. He sounded like he took it personally for some reason and asked if I would like to be taken off the call list. I nicely said yes and then he hung up on me. So... I guess I m off the list? Either way, please don t be rude when the other person isn t being rude.
Bob Marley was so funny and his the comedians before him were great
Comedy night normal mask required upon entry once seated you can take it off makes no sense
