Unprofessional, last minute offers, they expect you to drop what you're dping in life and accept the last minute deal for $12, they love marking you as a no call no show, when technically they never answer their phone to accept a call or via email. I've reached out twice and no response.. But im not eligible to move forward because of they're lack of answering the phone and I guess voicemails just disappear these days!! What works for someone else may not work for you! God bless amd stay away from this janky place!

One of the worst places I've worked at. I want to ...

One of the worst places I've worked at. I want to start by saying my experience is bad because of the contract I was on. I signed on to the Virgin America contract. It was a brand new contract there. No one knew anything and we were all learning pretty much from scratch, so we were basically thrown to the wolfs. It frustrated not only the customers but us as well. I loved Telvista itself, for the most part. They hired vendors to come and supply food on weekdays, had health fairs, free computers and lounge for us on the weekdays. They would even offer to let you stay at a nearby hotel during snowstorms so you wouldn't have to go home (good if you don't have a family, but I do so I couldn't take advantage of that). It was just unfortunate that my contract ruined my experience there thus making me have no choice but to quit. The people they hired to foresee the contract were incompetent, we were overworked and underpaid, etc. We never had anywhere to sit! The schedulers would overstaff and then people would come with literally nowhere to sit, so people were either forced to go home or my team would be forced to sit in random places without the proper tools. Then once we were understaffed (because of the huge turnovers this contract has) so my team (I was on the social media/chat team) was told to take calls, chats, email AND do receipts all at ONCE. I was then yelled at for not doing all the above fast enough and when I told my supervisor it's kind of hard doing all that at once I was then told to learn to shut my mouth and deal with it or do something else. You can guess what I did. I found a place to work where they actually care for their employees and treat them with respect, pay well, and don't work them like slaves. If you must work for this company, just be sure to stay clear of the Virgin contract.

I guess when working at a call center you dont need professionalism, when I worked here a couple of years ago this place was pretty bad. Most of the managment couldn't answer questions from associates. It seemed like they would hire anybody so you have to pick up some of their workload.

I am a cab driver for Cowboy Cab in Dallas. Picked up this lady in Duncanville and took her here to TelVista. This lady said she needed to go inside to get her payment. I know this trick all too well. Went into the first set of glass doors, then when we got to the wooden doors, she starts attacking me. I starting to defending myself by putting my hands up to my face, then, she's claiming that I elbowed her in the face while my hands are in front of my own face. I called Farmers Branch P.D., the officers said I didn't attack or even elbowed her in the face. I'm pressing charges against her as of today.

UNPROFESSIONAL, FRAUD, SCAM, DO NOT APPLY.
THEY HIRED ME. I DID THE BACKGROUND CHECK, THE DRUG TEST, DID ALL OF THE ONBOARDING, EVEN WENT OUT AND BOUGHT ALL OF THE EQUIPMENT I NEEDED TO OPERATE AT HOME! BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME I WAS HIRED AND SENT ME ALL THE APPLICATIONS I NEEDED TO DOWNLOAD FOR THE VERIZON SOFTWARE THAT WE WERE GOING TO BE TRAINING ON FOR ON THE 7TH OF AUGUST 2020. THESE PEOPLE LITERALLY WAITED UNTIL THE DAY OF TRAINING 8AM IN THE MORNING TO BOOT ME OUT OF THE ONLINE TRAINING ROOM WITHOUT NOTICE. I SPENT 2 AND A HALF HOURS ON THE 7TH OF AUGUST TRYING TO GET SOMEONE TO EXPLAIN WHY I WAS KICKED OUT OF THE VIRTUAL TRAINING ROOM WHEN I DID EVERYTHING I WAS SUPPOSED TO AND GOT THE HIRING EMAIL/JOB OFFER EMAIL. SOMEONE FINALLY ANSWERED ME AFTER MY TRAINER STOPPED REPLYING TO ME AND CLAIMED THEY WOULD CALL ME THAT DAY. YALL KNOW THEY HELD ONTO MY PAPERWORK AND RAN MY CREDIT AND DECIDED TO KEEP THAT INFORMATION FROM ME UNTIL TODAY BUT THEY HAD THE REPORT SINCE THE 7TH OF AUGUST. NOBODY EVER CALLED ME OR EMAILED ME. THIS IS AN INCONVENIENCE AND A WASTE OF TIME. PEOPLE ARE OUT HERE LOSING JOBS AND FIGHTING FOR NEW ONES . THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY THAT I HAVE EVER CAME ACROSS. THE ENTIRE HR/RECRUITING DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED OVER AND REASSESSED.

If you are in the job market like I am, do not, I ...

If you are in the job market like I am, do not, I repeat do NOT go anywhere near this company. It will be a giant waste of your time if you do. First of all, everyone is saying how easy it is to get a job here. It's not. I am a college graduate that is looking for entry level work, with 11+ years of customer service experience, the basic knowledge of I.T. and I can type 75 WPM with 90% accuracy and they did not call me back.

I did sit through the assessments which I know I performed well on. The company did proceed to offer me and two other individuals a tour of their facility. Then I took part in an interview which went really well. The first interviewer let me speak with a supervisor which I know went well. The first interviewer told me that a bunch of them had to rush off to a meeting and that she would call me back later on that afternoon to finish up the interview. She asked if that was okay and I replied yes and she had promised me she would call me back.

She did not call me back and it took me 48 hours, 4 phone calls that went unanswered, 1 of which to the recruiter who originally brought me in and 2 emails before I was issued the generic "Thanks but no thanks" email. As much as I may not like my current employment, I truly believe this happened for a reason. Do not go anywhere near this company!

I worked here for a year. I worked on FiOS and did some software testing. The training is excellent. I felt extremely frustrated when taking the Telematics check call. Possibly one of the better public-facing support/contact centers.

Do NOT work here. Management is extremely rude, and unprofessional. Building is dirty. Metal detectors, as if you're criminals. Their computers are so slow that you have to get to work 30 mins early just to pull anything up. The software they use is slow as well, and makes it hard to even do your job. Yet, each call is timed. Pay is CHEAP for the work they have you doing. This is not a career. This is just a place to work until the job you really want comes through. ONLY plus about this place is the free coffee. Please stay away.

This place is definitely not a place to work if you are looking for honesty and professionalism. It is sad how a so called supervisor deliberately try to get an employee fired and tell other co- workers she always get her way. This is a classic example of how Amanda Long got promoted and now she is throwing her weight around. .....It's like the saying says, "those with authority are either humble or selfish", and that's when the true you comes out!!! She is a jealous person who is clearly showing who she really is! ! !

I worked for this call center for 3 months under the Fios contract. I didn't like it my self. I would recommend this job to someone with endless patience, a need or want to sit in same place for hours, tech savvy, and no aspiration to get anywhere financially for 3 to 5 years. The compensation is a rip-off.

Most will agree training was awesome. Shot out to Rodney.

This job is a good stepping stone if you need help desk experience or are looking for tuition assistance. Unlike most companies Televista will assist with tuition after 90 day (I think). I wouldn't make a career out of it.

At the end of the day it's going to be what you make of it.

I receive a call from Telvista offering me a position, I accepted an interview, I came and went through a easy process and was given a date and time to report for training. My trainers are so friendly and knowledgeable, everyone I have meet is happy, you see friendly smiles everywhere. From seeing and learning how easy it is to move up in the company is what I like the most. I look forward to begin my next chapter.

I worked here before the only thing that I can say positive about this. Place is that I worked with good people. Which they just got their customer service experience and went on to better. I still thank God for the opportunity here. The manager was very unprofessional you get caught eating a bar on the phone you will get embarrassed by getting yelled at like a child. I didn t know this caucasian man was. Until someone told me he was the manager. Now that I here he s bump down to a Sup God don t like ugly. That is all

So I went to the interview which I couldn't get past the customer service survey which is basically another one of those stupid personality test so yes I am bitter/salty at the fact that they made me come in, waste gas, just to take the typing test and customer service test just to be told I can't even see and sit down with the recruiter/interviewer who called me. Guess that's life now adays. I gave them 3 stars because while sitting there wasting time I was watching employees go in and they looked generally happy and ready to start the day I guess. And to telvista ALLOW US TO TAKE THESE TESTS ONLINE AT HOME don't have us driving out there only to possibly be told we can't even be seen and let us know how disposable we are.

Not the best place to work if your a skilled sales consultant with a high performance background. If your under the age of 30 then this would be a great place for you depending on your skill set. I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone very ghetto and unprofessional place if your looking for micro management and poor management from people who have no skills to be in management then best of luck. This place is for young ones looking to build a resume.

PART 2/2 response to ANDY WALTERS

PART 2/2 response to ANDY WALTERS
All the way to completely revising the commission structure to truly disservice the ones who are on the phones making it possible. Rather than payout per individual performance (as it originally was), it dissolved into a cutthroat system to where only the top 5 or 10 agents were truly making anything close to what they were used to (depending on your contract).
Opportunities to move up in position were little to a joke, most times giving coworkers I knew additional workloads (sometimes double responsibility) for the same pay and an empty promise, stringing them along for that of a promotion/raise. Truly just pitiful behavior at times. I won t even lie, it got to a point to where between my personal life and the stress of this environment, come time I marked a year tenure, I stopped caring altogether.
Luckily enough, I had probably the best manager in the building. I can voice a back for a few others, but she was THE one who held it down for everyone on the floor, including other managers. Without her, sad to say you re running on sleet my friend.

I started the position when I was 20 years old and ended my tenure a year later at 21. If you re older than 25 considering this company, truly, bless your heart and God bless
Like an old coat there used to tell me, use this place to add add as many new experiences to your resume as you can, then get then **** outta here .

I was trying to click on star but it won't let you post,so it forces you to pick a star...anywhoo...where to start, the trainer Geneveive was freaking Awesome!! Now the company itself sucks, they have these slow ass computers using the software on the same server! What company does that, our while systems would crash every night after 5 PM and again after 9 PM, they would also change the script about every 2 months and security procedure, lol example- cust must have acct number if not send a pin if not call home phone even if customer was calling from home phone, how redundant! Finally they hired a bunch of idiots for payroll, reason I say this is because, your paid by clicking into phone, yet payroll always shorted my check even though I never left early. I was in training and they clocked me out and didn't pay my whole shift,I was in freaking training in the same damn building!! Word to the wise, suck up the paychecks while in training BUT also look for another job...RUN..do not stay!! By the way,my pay still not fixed and I'm no longer an employee there...I RAN fast!!

Telvista is a great company who cares about it's employees. The people writing bad reviews clearly had attendance issues and no work ethic. I have been here over a year now, have been promoted and gotten a raise and still doing rather well. I have had no problems here. Anytime I had to miss for a dr appointment, I brought in my note and the point was removed.

This is a very good company to work for they take very good care of the employees and all management and supervisors are friendly and great to work with and I agree that bad reviews might be due to no self responsibility for actions and but to actually adults that work hard to make it through they are very understanding and also even with the covid they do their best to guide you through problems like a friend would I see the employee of telvista as family.

Telvista is horrid. They don't care about you. The training classes are not professional at all, more than half the time was spent watching unfunny and pointless videos and hearing the trainers use degrading language such as "special" to make fun of the mentally impaired, and "Tranny" in reference to Transexual individuals.

After training you are thrown to people who will constantly pretend to care about you but their true colors come out. As always with large corporations they do NOT care where you end up, they just want the best status possible. Let me remind you your stats are not based on skill, they are based on how the customer feels and the reviews the customers give you. Even if you are nice, any customer can pick at something they dont like and rate you poorly.

After being in the top 20 percent they finally started to treat me nicely. When I went back to being an average - not bad - average - worker, they didnt care about my problems. They change your schedule whenever they feel like it. All THREE of the supervisors I had talked down to me because they spoke about doing anything to get to the top. Even ignorance to feelings.

Supervisors were caught doing the following: lying, gossiping, and bad mouthing. The employees weren't any better. They all treat scores like badges and make fun of people who arent "as good" as they are. There is constant unprofessional gossip behind employees and supervisors backs CONSTANTLY.

It's a horrid environment and I would never go back.

Consider working here only if you need a paycheck. Don't count on anything permanent or long lasting. This is not a career company. It's a speed bump in the road of life. I liked the casual work attire allowed and the free parking. The location is a bit out of the way if commuting by public transportation. The facility is old and dirty and often at night you could spy "Squeeky" the neighborhood rat roaming for dropped tid bits. If your going to work here get the cheapest insurance but don't count on using it. All the other options offered should be avoided as well.

I spent 3 hours in this place today just to be turned away because I didn t seem AGGRESSIVE enough ??? First my interview with Katrina was supposed to be at 10:30. No one spoke to me until 11:30. Wow ok. At this point I m already thinking in my head nah I m good but I m trying to be a good sport. Then Katrina proceeds to ask me about a typing test ok so I completed the test 5 times then I proceeded back to the lobby just to wait another 45 minutes as I see Katrina run around the building. I should have walked out then but nope still trying to be a good sport. Then Katrina finally comes back she asks about the typing test then we go on a tour of the center. ( Word of advice no one wants to go on tour before they are hired ) We proceeded to pass lockers and metal detectors. She then took me through this maze for my interview which I had to wait again like 25 minutes then the hiring manager interviewed me which went well or so I thought. Then I walk back through the maze and wait some more again this time about 30 minutes. Then Katrina finally calls me back and apparently the hiring manager suggested I m not AGGRESSIVE enough for the position. Wait what ??? Then she continues to explain to me there is another position they believe I would be perfect for but it s a lower pay grade. A whole $5 lower. Seriously I should of went with my gut and walked out after the first hour of waiting. Televista wasted almost 4 1/2 hours of my life just for Katrina to send me a email 20 minutes after I left stating unfortunately the company has decided to moved forward to the next candidate. Honestly after reading these reviews I feel I have dodged a major bullet. What I noticed while I was there was not your typical call center on the up and up. Unorganized and front office staff steadily leaving to go the sales floor smh. I m good Thank you but no Thank you. My time is VALUABLE don t waste my drive time plus 3 hours of a potential employees time just to reject them 20 minutes after they leave. I wouldn t of minded if it felt legit but this was unprofessionalism at it s finest.

This is one of the worst places to work I have ever seen, or worked at. The illogically strict rules about stats and other things make it IMPOSSIBLE to do a PROPER tech support job. Those issues as well ans the pass/fail of the stats literally put me in the hospital with a breakdown the weekend before Christmas. They don't call it "Hellvista" for no reason after all.

U survived 4 years at this place and have to say they pulled all the stops to fire as many people as they could. At one point they re-ran background checks for everyone and even did weekly test and if you fail you are out.

Honestly, I was so done with the drama I quit as soon as I found a new job. On the up side it did give me a foot in the door for other IT related work.

If there was a way to write a "No Star Review" I would. I was just reading reviews of more current employees since I was there. I was an "Old Hand". After being laid off from CompUSA Callcenters in Grapevine,TX (Dial A Tech / Verizon DSL)....I spent a couple of months unemployed. In swooped this new company Telvista that picked up the Verizon DSL contract....Got a call to come back to the contact center in Grapevine,TX that was previously CompUSA. We were told things would be the same.....not even 1 month in did we learn that was a false statement. In the 2 yrs I struggled to stay with Telvista they constantly changed their "Scripts and Rules" to which I was one of a few that kept every version and called them out when they tried to write me up for variations in my Q&A'S. I would not recommend the company to anyone unless you are trying to avoid the fast food industry. Go work for a Cell provider or directly for a ISP before Telvista. I have even run into some of the initial Telvista Alumni and more recent employees and we talked about our long walks from the parking lot and how everyone just seemed to be going through the motions just to get through a day there.....it will suck your energy and your soul!
If TelVista really wanted a template on how to treat employees they should look back at the old CompUSA contact center business models, because moral was night and day before and after the switch.
