Review of Telvista Inc.

One of the worst places I've worked at. I want to start by saying my experience is bad because of the contract I was on. I signed on to the Virgin America contract. It was a brand new contract there. No one knew anything and we were all learning pretty much from scratch, so we were basically thrown to the wolfs. It frustrated not only the customers but us as well. I loved Telvista itself, for the most part. They hired vendors to come and supply food on weekdays, had health fairs, free computers and lounge for us on the weekdays. They would even offer to let you stay at a nearby hotel during snowstorms so you wouldn't have to go home (good if you don't have a family, but I do so I couldn't take advantage of that). It was just unfortunate that my contract ruined my experience there thus making me have no choice but to quit. The people they hired to foresee the contract were incompetent, we were overworked and underpaid, etc. We never had anywhere to sit! The schedulers would overstaff and then people would come with literally nowhere to sit, so people were either forced to go home or my team would be forced to sit in random places without the proper tools. Then once we were understaffed (because of the huge turnovers this contract has) so my team (I was on the social media/chat team) was told to take calls, chats, email AND do receipts all at ONCE. I was then yelled at for not doing all the above fast enough and when I told my supervisor it's kind of hard doing all that at once I was then told to learn to shut my mouth and deal with it or do something else. You can guess what I did. I found a place to work where they actually care for their employees and treat them with respect, pay well, and don't work them like slaves. If you must work for this company, just be sure to stay clear of the Virgin contract.
