Nice chilled out pub eaten a good few times now never had any problems or issues with order and food has always been very good staff always polite and have gone to any lengths to make sure you enjoy your visit A1 as always
We use this pub for a couple on a Friday afternoon. DBS (Hull) Ltd specified boozer.
Definitely much better now it's been taken over by new owners. Went for Sunday lunch and it was lovely.
Service very poor. No one behind the bar, someone was serving tables with no acknowledgement. Left before ordering!
Waited for over an hour for a burger and chips that had been reheated in the microwave not impressed at all will not be going again

Good pub grub with a vast menu and great booze. Went for the pub quiz on a Tuesday and had a great time. Lots of great food deals!
Went for tea with my family and I was really really disappointed. We just had to leave the minute we'd eaten, There was a group of middle aged men being so very loud that u couldn't hear yourself speak and using very foul language. I Never once saw a member of staff go over to the group of men and ask them to be a bit quieter or even to tone down their language. It's a family pub and although there was no children were we were sitting there could have been in the restaurant elsewhere. We don't go in often so losing our business would be no loss to the restaurant but I'm sure we won't be the only ones thinking of eating elsewhere.
Steak cold and fatty sent it back next one came hot but still fatty may have to give it a miss for a while ??????
Christmas Family Meal at the Goldcrest - nice pub, pleasant staff, good service and good value for money with 2 real ales too boot.

Had work do there. Had the Xmas menu which sadly wasn't worth the money. 1st course tasty but the turkey dinner was disgusting and not a good portion. Very dissapointed in it. But staff were nice and friendly x
Although the menu looks extensive, there is very little choice for vegetarians. Plus if you don't want to order 2 mains, it's VERY expensive for poor quality food.
Love the food and prices here one of the best two for one pubs iv been to. Plenty of daily offers but what ever the night a very affordable meal out. Great staff and great food 10/10

Food took a long time to arrive & when it did arrive it was cold. It states on the children's menu chicken burger served with lettuce & tomato my niece's burger arrived "dry". This review is for people thinking of visiting, I personally won't be back!
Still waiting over an hour (70 mins and still no food) had to ask 3 times for 2 kids starters as they were hungry. Won't be visiting again. Had the same problem last time but thought we would try again. Finally got our food 1hr 20 mins later. The children's meals were terrible. The mashed potato had a skin on it and the burger bun has soaked up the juice from the sweet corn. The adult meals were not good either chicken was cold. Very disappointing.
Can not beat the steak & stilton salad. Dressing on the side so you decide if you want to use it.

Food was appalling waited a hour between starters and main only for my stameak to come out overcooked when I raised this issue was told they would not replace it as they said it was cooked perfect I ordered rare got medium well the manager told me it's how it should be and being a chef myself I know this was not the case cheap place so didn't have high expectations anyways won't be going again
Been here twice recently, great food gor the money and great service, we will be visiting again.
Food is good reasonably priced although there can be a wait sometimes as it can get crowded during school holidays and Sundays ect, might be worth calling ahead to book a table of there's a large number of you going.
My food order was wrong and everyone else had theirs whilst I had to wait the whole point of ordering together is so you can eat together the only thing I got was a sorry and they changed it but I was still irritated about the fact I started eating 20 minutes after everyone they had almost finished

Wide range of food and everything I've ever had here has always been gorgeous. The staff are very friendly, the place is spotless and is a nice place to have a quick meal with the family or if you don't fancy cooking, I love it. Plus you can't go wrong with 2 for 1 :-)

I went with my 14 year old friend at 12:50 to this restaurant to have a 2 for 1 because it was a good deal, I went to go and order and they kicked us out because we was under age. My friend and me was a teen ager, we had money, even lamwath let me and my friend order and that s kind of the same thing as the golden crest, the staff was extremely rude as well never coming back to this stupid restaurant again!

We really enjoy coming here when staying at the premier inn around the corner. Everyone's friendly, the meals are great, there's a kids play area oitsode and toys indoors.

One of the worst meals ive ever had put in front of me steak uneatable dont be fooled by buy one get one free the only good thing about this place is the outside area so if its a rainy day walk a bit further to the wetherspon pub get exactly the same meal cheaper with a pint thrown in aswell
