Terrible , expensive , digital dome terrible don't waste your money
The cost is very high. Should be more staff out explaining and demonstrating for that price. Has some quality displays. The movies and star shows are EXTRA. And also expensive. Consider this a trip to the zoo and a movie in one shot and the same price combined
nice place to all day visit. be sure to check website to show schedule. My kids love them.
the place is good for learning. the kids will enjoy it and they will able to have fun doing activities. ..
too bad some stuff are close but hopefully to have them open nxt month
Had a good time here with the kids.
Nice to see so much for them to learn and interact with.
As a parent it's a great way to spend an afternoon.
I absolutely love telus spark although, I think that it is quite pricey if you don't pay on groupon or another app like that!! Over all it is a GREAT experience!!
Amazing! So fun and interactive. You can easily spend a whole day here. Great places for kids to run around. We also loved a little play area for kids under 3, and made use of a quiet room for breastfeeding too. Staff is kind and informative! Would definitely do again.
The science centre is a great place for kids to explore.
Not worth it right now. They only had one exhibit open. Inside out. That was it. Plus 7 dollars for parking. Parking should be free right now. Definitely a rip off. Wait till everything is open. NOT WORTH IT.
I was worried it wouldn t be appropriate for my 3 year old, but was wrong. There was so much for young children to do. She had a blast and it was definitely worth the money. The cafe had amazing food as well.
We went for Adult Only Night. First time and it was fantastic. So much to do and it was nice to mingle with a drink in hand. Still, the most fun was the kids section. Lol
Expected maybe a little more in terms of technology and showcasing fairly good for a preteen/kid not so good for younger kids
Good and affordable place to hang out with a toddler. Lots to learn for them
Excellent place to visit, very educational and have a very fun show to present science topics aimed at all audiences especially children.
Very educational, especially the Body Worlds Vital section with real and intimate exhibits of the human anatomy. It's like high school science all over again, but this time more visual and engaging.
It's very cool place to take kids. Adults not as much. A must visit in the city, depending on the touring exhibition. Pick one and go burn a couple hours.
It's a great place for your brain to learn something.
Great place for my daughter to play and burn energy
Great place for learning and fun for adults and kids
Went during the Quantum Physics exhibition and it was great. Definitely leave yourself at least a few hours to check out everything.
A must visit for all kids with an interest in the sciences.
I went with a three, four and eight year old and I have to say I'm so impressed! everyone had an amazing time and found something that they enjoyed! And the fact that most of the whole museum has interactive parts made it well worth while for the little ones and we all learned a lot(:
Wonderful place. Could add more exhibits or have more variety.
Great for my 1 and 3 yr old while it's too cold to play outside
Great place for kids of all ages. There is a really cool playground outside and a movie theater. Getting a membership is a good idea if you plan to come 2 or more times.
Great for kids of all ages. Especially when it's - 20 degrees
Body world was an amazing experience and would recommend to anyone! Too bad it's only there for a limited time
Very large, lots of new stuff. Only disappointment was that, for the size of the building, I was expecting more galleries.
I put a fork in the outlet for science and i got zapped ,
10/10 would do again
Toddler are is great for young kids and they serve great coffee!
Just check the hours before going. Sometimes closed for special functions etc. Great layout and the special movie screen is so cool with 360' view!!!
Great place! took my 3 year old there and he loved it. You definitely have to have a interest in the sciences as an adult to find telus spark entertaining. The cost is totally worth it for a full day experience.
Only like electrical part or water conservation model... nothing else special
Full of great interactive exhibits for the entire family.
There are 2 sections that are awesome. The upstairs and the little kids section. It's worth it for those alone!
I liked it but mostly because it was a school trip and it was free. The price for memberships is simply over the top. To get a premium membership for my family is the same for a season ski pass to Lake Louise or Sunshine. Really? That is just ridiculous. I have better ways to spend my family's entertainment dollars. Improve the exhibits and then maybe I would come again. They need a new creative director and to adjust pricing.
Would definitely go back! So much to see! If you don't have kids the adults only nights are a must.
Been here multiple times. They have lots of interactive activities and cool demonstrations.
A complete waste of time. The website makes it sound like it has a lot of fun and interesting displays. We went there to discover that things were actually pretty bland and uninteresting, a number of displays were in poor condition, and several others were simply broken. $20/ticket is far too much for how little there is to see and do there. The building itself is nice but that's about its only appeal. Would not recommend anyone go there; you're better off going to the zoo just up the street from here.
Great but we needed more time to cover all areas lol
Fantastic local science Centre. Adult night is the best for couples on a date. Grab a drink and explore.
Very good place for younger kids but fails to entertain the older ones. Not as extensive as what other cities like Vancouver offer but still enough to capture your child's imagination. I wish it had more sophisticated exhibits however for the hands on stuff.
Fantastic area right off the entrance for the under 8 crowd, beautiful building, lots of hands on activities even for the smallest kids. Cafeteria was pretty good and not overpriced. The outdoor play area is really cool, particularly the kids only junkyard and accompanying adults only patio. We enjoyed our day there enough to buy annual passes for the family!
Went here with the grandkids, everybody had a good time. Would recommend
Had a good time but was expecting a lot more. 99% kids stuff.
I am honestly confused about any negative reviews about this place. It's amazing for all ages, from 0-99 years old. I'll never get sick of it! You have a family membership for life.
Took my grandchild there and she loved it. Great place to touch and learn.
Good place for kids and Adults. It would be great if they ad some EV chargers!
Excellent place, you have fun as if you were a child
It's just okay. Not worth the money if they dont have a special exhibit up or event going on, and better for kids. Lots of stations are either too crowded to use or out of order.
AMAZING!!!
How can anyone not have a fun time at Telus Spark. This place is fantastic.
I went with my daughter- in- law and two grandchildren, ages 7 and 3. The adults had as much fun as the kids. There's so much to do you, you just can't do it all in one day. We got there when they were opening at 10:00am and didn't leave until 4:30pm, and I I'd say that we only did half of what there was to do.
The kids had such a great time that as we were walking out of the building they asked when we could go again.
Just a heads up, there's 2 outdoor playgrounds. One is called The Junkyard, and only children are allowed to go into this play area. It's totally fenced and there are lots of staff to keep an eye on the children. The children have to be wearing a fully covered foot type of footwear for safety reasons. My granddaughter had a pair of flip flops on so she had to put on a pair of rubber boots that they supply. She wasn't comfortable in them so she ended up coming out of the play area sooner than expected. But that hasn't stopped her from wanting to go and play there again. She said she'll just remember to wear her runners next time.
The only draw back for us is that there isn't one of these in Red Deer, you have to go to either Calgary or Edmonton if you want to go to a Telus Spark.
So much to experience! Both older and younger kids will get a kick out of exploring this place!
In the winter, it is difficult to get there from the train station if you are walking. The time in the building itself was a good experience. I enjoyed the many hands on activities.
Very much designed with little kids in mind. As an adult I found it quite boring and very expensive. Which is such a shame. I love science centres.
Staff are so engaged with kids and toddler areas are fantastic. We always have a great time
They charge you to park. Exhibits are not very exciting, and the building is unecessarily large. Cafeteria is confusing, so do I make and serve my own food?
Great facility. Body Worlds was fantastic!! Reasonable prices upon entry, $26 per adult and $13 per child. Was able to attend the Great Spirit Bear in the dome. Clean, spacious, educational and fun. A great use of time for all. Highly recommended.
We were very impressed with all the hands on activities this science center provides for children. We mostly stayed in the area designed for children of toddler age, but did walk around the whole facility to observe what the other children were doing. Our two year old has a fantastic time with the water and rocks feature. The staff has been very friendly and helpful to us. This is a great place to go in the winter!
Fun / interactive / food was vegetarian chili was great!
They definitely need to get recliner seats for the dome.
I went there 2 years ago on a field trip. It was fun at first, but then gets boring. There is lots of empty space. We were all so pumped until we got to the exhibits. It started to get boring and we all just wanted to go back to Brooks. Overall nice design but it's just boring after wandering around.
Cant bring self to rate more than 2 stars until Reciprocal Admission is either removed or reduced significantly. Travelling to see other science centres was a very appealing part of buying an annual membership. This change is an unwelcome one because now not only have we paid an annual fee but now pay more on top each time there's an exhibit (which is pretty much the most attractive thing) - makes the annual fee not worth it as travellers...
We had a couple of hours to kill prior to catching a flight. There is more than enough to kill a few hours here the cafe is also very nice and has a lot of healthy options.
I went here with my 20 year old girlfriend, and it was absolutely boring. We went at 2:30 and was warned they were closing in an hour and a half. We didn't even last an hour. There were maybe 4 exhibits, of which were no fun for anyone above the age of 10. We left with dissapointment as I don't think I have any reason to come back. I have never seen such a beautiful building with such bad design, as 85% of it is basically nothing. You walk around looking at blank walls more than seeing exhibits. The old science centre was smaller, and had a ton of more stuff. What a sad thing it's turned into.
The new Telus Spark is not as good as the old one but it is still quite good. The outdoor area is fun for kids and parking is abundant. It's also next to the zoo, so you can split up if needed.
Telus spark is absolutely amazing. I heard a blast and so did the kids. Science is fun and at Telus spark they prove that.
Body world was interesting but the rest of the exhibits were uninspired and several activity stations were broken.
Good for young children. New circus exhibit is fun. Parking is too expensive considering price of entrance already high.
Unprofessional professionals skulking around the overpriced cafeteria discussing personal feelings about other staff. Cafeteria food, although overpriced, was delicious and large portions. Entry fee was higher than what you get in my opinion. Interactive staff were terrific and very pleasant and very tolerant.
Awesome place with lots to see and do!
There's a zone for little ones too. There's a cafeteria and outdoor playground.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The planetarium is amazing!
Had a fun time attending a workshop there excellent food in the cafeteria however quite pricey
