My experiences as a company and as a member cannot be described here. I have decided to change all employees who are in the TK health insurance company. I do not employ any employees who want to be insured there. As a member of the health insurance, voluntarily remaining in the statutory one, I can only say that they were arrogant and boned to me. Very rude service on the phone, staff are very naughty and you are asked to change the box office. The harassment on the phone is increasing, it always calls to another technician employee, invokes the insured on a previous conversation with the TK then no one remembers this employee. Unfortunately, there are no minus stars in the rating. With the Techniker health insurance one is well cared for if one is healthy and pays. But if you are really sick then you should not contact the phones with the call center staff.
I have been very satisfied with the service in the office. No long waiting times and competent help, as always. Too bad that many do not rate the office here, but use the reviews as a platform to complain about the health insurance in general. There are forums for that.

I come from Switzerland and compared to all of my former Swiss health insurers, TK is: uncomplicated, fast, great advice and top services. TK was recommended to me and I would recommend it immediately.
I love this health insurance! So far I have only had positive experiences here. Documents that others had been waiting for at other health insurance companies for weeks were immediately processed here with me so that I could take them with me straight away. No matter in which respect, every processing has been very quick and smooth. The staff have always been totally friendly and helpful, the service great. In addition, I find the old premises with the wall tiles etc. of the former milk product factory somehow totally rustic. Even outside of this location, I feel that I am in very good hands with the technician, because the service hotline around the clock 0800 has always helped me with all my questions. I can generally only recommend this health insurance to everyone - that's why I give it all 5 stars :-)
Very slow processing of applications, threats by the health insurance company with non-compliance with the treatment with painkillers, tariff extension in case of missed contributions received, no timely consideration of the financial situation. Poor Germany with such health insurance.
I am very unsatisfied with TK! They support doctors who make the wrong diagnoses (costs incurred after an operation: 6-digit euro amount, if treated, it would have only cost a 2-digit amount!) But what an absolute NO Go! It is said that there is no money, what they have is thrown out the window !!!!! (the whole thing is also available in writing!)
For chronically ill, the best health insurance, because you can also ask the various self-help groups. Especially (healthy) high earners should go to this health insurance and support the good work. With all other health insurances known to me one has clearly more trouble (I was previously with the HEK).

Kaaaaatttaaaaasstttrrroooophe !!!! I CAN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE. Stay away, don't become a member. The employees are so stupid and they only get paid for lying. Very rude and disrespectful. You get stuck and are sent out with standard excuses.
The TK scores the bills for sleep laboratories, so sleep laboratories no longer accept TK patients. In Hamburg you have to go to one of four sleep laboratories, which have a special contract with the TK. Two of these four laboratories have long since canceled their cooperation ("nothing but trouble"). One of the two remaining labs can not customize a CPAP mask, leaving only the sleep lab in the UKE. Waiting time: 9 months! With a decent supply, as required by law, this has nothing to do anymore. Anyone who does this, as an OSAS patient, will then only have to pay for a used respiratory therapy device from the TC without additional payment. Incidentally, TK generates surplus profits in the three-digit millions each year. Anyway, I know whose costs are being saved. In my view, the TC is not recommended.
Anyone who is still a member: Once the TK contact with the concern, then submit directly to the lawyer and file a lawsuit. Saves a lot of pointless stress and then things suddenly work.
Issues notices after the fact and does not manage to issue an objection notice over 6 months. So that no lawsuit can be filed. During the disputes, the health insurance company brazenly provides only limited benefits. On top of that, this replacement fund still makes it difficult to switch with an alleged 18-month notice period. Really not recommendable at all! I do not wish this plague to anyone!

I have been insured with TK almost my entire life, have praised it in the past and recommended it with a clear conscience. Unfortunately, I can no longer handle it that way and after more than 30 years I am canceling my membership. This fund is absolutely family-unfriendly, from the moment a (still unfulfilled) desire to have children occurs, continued in the lack of pregnancy benefits and later with family treatment. If you compare other, certainly also many small, cash registers, the performance of TK is downright a joke. It was not without reason that I was first told in the gynocological practice that I was insured with the wrong insurance company.
In addition, there were several rejected requests for reimbursement of costs / hardship applications, rejected doctor error reports and other smaller annoyances that add up over the course of the year. I'm honestly happy when I'm finally out of there.
The Techniker health insurance is a scandal! I can only urge everyone to switch immediately. I have been a member there since I was 14 years old and have become so disappointed in the meantime, as this health insurance company has long been using pusher columns with artificial methods that are no longer beautiful. Contribution arrears, which allegedly happened more than 5 years ago, are collected through the main customs office without the possibility of clarification. The Techniker health insurance, shows up here at no time to meet and robs this precious time that you invested to research. In the end, the technician withdraws health insurance, then your claim back, because you noticed that the calculation program lineup is not correct and the shortfall has long been balanced. This has happened 4 times over the last 5 years.
Friendly and competent reception, which gives you, if possible, information on a telephone clarification of concerns. The waiting times for a personal conversation with the, very friendly advisors are a bit long, about 20 - 30min.
Anyone who has reached the end of their life and then needs a little more aids or anything else should not be insured with TK at this point. Everything is refused, even the costs for the ambulance transport to the dialysis, because our nursing case could not run for the last few weeks and was bedridden. Until then, we would not have considered such mangy behavior to be possible with a health insurance company. But the decision-makers really did everything they could to present themselves as shabby and lousy as we possibly could.
In the service dessert of Germany there is one institution where every employee is friendly, helpful and just overall nice. This is something rare and gives me the feeling to be in good hands. Thanks TK for taking good care of your employees and they in return take good care of me, for many years now and many more to come :)
I broke my collarbone in a motorcycle accident in August, TK rejects ultrasound therapy, although it is recommended by all the doctors I spoke to, and it could even lead to another operation, which would be significantly more expensive because the bone would not be correct heals, the cash registers sit on a billion dollar surplus and leave the patient in the rain. I will contact the media with the case now !!! And change the cash register !!!

Have called before my vacation (Austria) at the TK and inquired whether for Austria, the health insurance card is sufficient. I was told that it would be enough and that it would be accepted in the EU. Far from it ..... My wife fell ill and had to see a doctor there. This did not accept you card and I had to stretch out of my own pocket 1056.00. Since the TK billed under German law, I got just 10% of the sum replaced. Thank you very much Techniker Krankenkasse for the top advice .....
