Have called before my vacation (Austria) at the TK and inquired whether for Austria, the health insurance card is sufficient. I was told that it would be enough and that it would be accepted in the EU. Far from it ..... My wife fell ill and had to see a doctor there. This did not accept you card and I had to stretch out of my own pocket 1056.00. Since the TK billed under German law, I got just 10% of the sum replaced.
