I have loved this place from the day it opened. Knowledgeable staff and the owner is an amazing visionary bringing relaxed tea house culture to the States. I ve moved away but, never fail to go when I m in town. Nothing like it. Simple fair to snack with fine teas served in traditional style pot and service that matches the region of the tea. Simply unique earthy decor. The tea shop always has wonderful gift options and the best quality tea selections.

Cozy little nook. A must visit if you are in Portland. The decor is refreshing. Variety of tea and food options. Black mango tea and 500 mile chai are my favorite. Get some tea rusk with your tea, u will surely enjoy it

The Tao of Tea is where it's at. Starting with the quality of the food in the tea especially, both are very high. I also think they're very reasonably priced considering that it's organic and responsibly sourced. It's also right next to their Tea Store which is a great place to get loose leaf tea. The people there are super knowledgeable and they can hook you up with just the right leaf.

The Tao of Tea is a very relaxing space with reclaimed wood and stone tables and chairs, world music in the background and a very non-intrusive staff. It is on the main level, single story location where you can order teas from around the world; caffeinated and herbal hot and cold options available. They also have a lovely menu of vegetarian items. They range from snacks, light menu to sweets. It is a great space to decompress after a long day, reconnect with a friend, or just have some me time.

I bought $25 of loose leaf tea and the lady at the front desk was very helpful and nice. She let me smell lots of varieties of loose leaf tea and she suggested some other one that I might like. Price were comparable to major chains, but the quality was better.

A serene little tea house with wonderfully diverse small plates, and a great tea selection. The service was prompt, quiet, and informative. Beautiful decor and a spa like atmosphere make this a favorite stop over when I'm in the area.
