I always loved it, but since they opened the uncommon space it's amongst my top 3 in London.

Lovely staff, amazing architecture, design , painting exhibition... We enjoyed the garden and the soap fountains (water comes out only when people around interact and talk to eachother.. nice experience
Great museum - worlds largest collection of William Turner!
A great place to visit.
I visited the current Van Gogh exhibition too, absolutely brilliant.
Has modern as well as old artwork and free entrance.
Very interesting museum interior and many good paintings free admission
Interesting current exhibition of William Blake. Very comprehensive- I view his work differently now. Many powerful if strange prints as well as his more commercial work.
Art is very uplifting, intriguing enlightening and commentary on life's truths.
Amazing resource with fantastic exhibitions and activities on all year. There were easels and sketching supplies in the galleries when I visited and that made for a brilliant fun morning! Cafe in the basement the best for food - the pulled pork burger was delicious and good value!
A lovely gallery! I 10/10 recommend the free archive talk / tour at 13:30 on weekends, so interesting and informative. I can't wait to go back
Free entry isn't the only great thing here, the exhibits are top notch and the staff are friendly. Well worth a visit and a donation!
Fascinating place to visit, it's spacious but not where you feel it's wasted. The paintings vary from old to modern, so many different types of work, always something good tob see and the exhibitions are interesting and a must to book
Imposing gallery with historic and contemporary British art, notable for its JMW Turner collection.
Beautiful museum. Like many major museums in London free admission
Excellent selection of Turner and Constable paintings. However felt a bit warm
One of the visits to do in London, easy to reach (5 minutes walk from the big ben) exposes paintings from 1300 to modern times, with particular collection of works by Turner
Like almost all museums admission free.
Worth going for Turner and Constable. The modern art is meh.
Beautiful museum with a wide variety of exhibitions
It is a beautiful museum, to visit when you have more time in London, and when you are passionate about art.
I would not put it at the top of the list, but as I said, if we have time, why not.
Personally, it did not take much time, less than an hour.
I would have liked to make the temporary exhibitions that seemed more interesting, nevertheless, it was a bit expensive so I did.
Very interesting visit with lots to see. Reduced William Blake Exhibitions, but still the best collection in London. Worth giving a a donation and the two shops inside were very well stocked.
There is always something new going on here. Well worth a visit every time you are in London.
Fantastic place to visit Turner gallery and the rest. The Edward Burne-Jones exhibition that started 24 October is stunning.
We had a really pleasant afternoon looking at a superb range of art. I do feel like the use of space is lacking something compared to other museums in London though - just something lacking in atmosphere I think.
Incredible place, free entry amazing variety of artwork
There are 37,000 Turner's works in the Tate collection :)
Amazing art collection in a fantastic building. Well laid out with clear signs. Good shop & cafe.
In normal cities, this would be an outstanding museum and the fact that it's free makes it that much better IMO. However, I rate it behind the National Gallery and it's not nearly as big. I still recommend a stop if you like classical 17th to 20th century art. It's a bit off the beaten path so if you'll already be near true downtown, may not be worth the trek.
Love the tate Britain , and also the Whistler restaurant for a posh fine dining experience. The sommelier has some nice bottles to round up the experience
I had an hour to spare between meetings locally to the gallery so I thought I'd indulge in some history and culture.
As you would expect there's a fabulous array of paintings from so many different eras; I was particularly impressed by the free guided tours, they head off every hour and cover different parts of the gallery.
Learnt so much more than I would have just wandering around and because it's interactive it's better than walking around with a set of headphones on.
Lovely selection of art that balances out the contemporary elements of Tate Modern. A lovely spot to escape the hustle and bustle of London & both the cafe and restaurant are well worth a visit if you'd like a longer stay.
Love the Tate Britain, recently went to the David Hockney exhibition there, very good presentation, and user experience of the facilities,
the art work and exhibitions are also seamlessly presented, with taste and subtle creativity.. To let the art itself shine, the way it's meant to! They always have the best art exhibitions at the Tate Britain, you can't fault them in any way.
Always up to its fame, also the grandiose free part shows everlasting paintings
One of the best art museums in London. Combines classis art with modern art and the space is beautiful.
Van Gogh and Frank Bowling exhibitions and a tasty lunch. A great day out.
Fantastic museum that mainly collects works by British artists! From Turner to Constable to remember among the most famous!
A fairly interesting and peculiar place which what seems to not be a Van Gogh only exposition (judging by the fact that there were several arts of a handful of, seemingly unrelated, artists).
The shop (located on the right-hand side of the entrance) seems to have recurring issues with the tablets there (no possible ways to use them to purchase any available products)
Brilliant building and such a vareity of amazing artwork
It's a modern and classic art museum. If you like that kind of stuff, do check it out.
Especially considering that it's free.
The restrooms are clean and free.
This was a fantastic day, I went to see Jesse Darling work. St Jerome was interesting and I enjoyed it! Highly recommended.
Iconic gallery, a place to escape from london madness
The VanGogh in Britain show is very interesting. You can spend hours viewing all kinds of art in many galleries. Great space
The exhibitions have been great the art galleries and paintings are superb. It never fails to please.
I work nearby now
The staff are courteous.
Security is tight like anywhere else in London.
Enjoy your time with the artwork!
A museum with changing exhibitions this week was an exhibition by Van Gogh
The museum of British art from the 14th to the present day. Free permanent collection, we give what we can. Beautiful collection of Turner.
A concise representative overview of British art from their extensive holding is constantly changing and evolving. Unfortunately William Blake is underrepresented whilst the vast Turner collection seems stifled and awkward nor shown to best advantage.
Despite my niggling this is remains an essential destination worthy of repeated visits.
For those who want to be fascinated by Turner's magic, this is certainly the best place. Tate Britain welcomes its visitors with its permanent exhibition ... and a well-stocked bar with options including vegan.
Digital archive open to all and above all all is free !!
Always something new to see. Loved the Marie Von Motesiczky research room with video of this artist whose work I love.
Great free exhibitions. Peaceful yet challenging. Great history of British art.
Interesting place to spend a couple of hours, coffee shop is a little overpriced but you've got to expect that I guess.
For the story of British art there is no better place. The temporary exhibitions are frequently brilliant and I love the space it s self. The restaurant, Rex Whistler is also well worth a visit.
