Fantastic rare opportunities to paint or draw sculptures, my daughter brought statue to life, I say it's a place you have to visit, rich in greatest art work and historic time we cannot rewind back.

Nice but not very interesting. Van Gogh exhibit costs 25 quid. I was n't bothered. If I wanted to see the paintings of a mentally ill man I would have bought some paints and a colouring in book for my uncle at Christmas. There's enough paintings on display for free without paying out to see some.

I wish they would put up some decent signage. It is a rabbit warren and easy to get lost. Went to the William Blake exhibition. It was crowded on a wet Saturday afternoon. Dark, repetitive art, with numerous references to obscure biblical figures.

Like all London museums, only temporary exhibitions are paid (eg Van Gogh), everything else is free. So magnificent works very varied from the 17th to the 20th century to see without 1 penny to pay.

Lovely calm atmosphere with amazing art and interesting information. Free for all except specific exhibitions but there is enough there to see that the free experience is still amazing. Only downside is the food in the cafe and the souvenirs are a bit pricey which is to be expected to be honest. Loved our visit.

A museum that you can easily enter. Because I can appreciate slowly, I will stay long. There is a cafe in the basement, but the atmosphere is good and scones and tea are very delicious. I think the price is reasonable for the UK.

Architecturally one of my favourite London's museum's, the best in central London. Staircases and hidden rooms housing a wonderful contemporary art collection. Not crazy busy with tourists, and this is a plus. So I can always enjoy their remarkable paid exhibitions without bumping into everyone around. A public garden behind, benches around the building and the Thames just in front makes the all experience. Love visiting every time.

Great.

Great.
They have a good collection, although exclusive to British.

Visited for the David Hockney exhibition which was fab. I'm a bit of a Hockney fan anyway but thoroughly enjoyed the retrospective of his work. We also visited some of the the permanent displays and enjoyed that too, plus the building itself is pretty impressive as well

The building was built on a spacious site, and it wasn't crowded, so I was able to enjoy it more calmly and slowly than in other museums. It is easy and convenient to go by bus from the center. Walk a little to the subway station. A homeless person was sleeping in the underground passage to the station, so I might be a little worried at nightfall.

Still love Tate Britain. What a building both inside and out. The security staff are great and deserve much praise. Layout of the galleries is brilliant, special exhibitions are special. (Could do with more ladies loos, but then it was a Saturday afternoon.)

Absolutely love this gallery for the exhibitions and fabulous interior. The cafe in wonderfully peaceful and a great place to meet friends for a catch up. I feel like it's one of the most stress free places in London. Very well stocked gift shop and I have always managed to find something wonderful for my loved ones. A must see if you are in the area!

This is our favourite gallery in London. It is much quieter and better than the Tate Modern and a far superior building to boot. It's a little out of the way but people in bus tours should be fine because all the coaches seem to park across the road asking the Thames.

But the main attraction is the beautiful building itself and the incredible artworks on show. Everything from large modern art installations, to modern video art, to classic at collections from the likes of Turner and Constable. There is something here for all art lovers and in a much more accessible format than the Modern.

Great for any visit, fast or slow, in to see some of the best of British art, from the extensive turner collection, Moore sculptures or cubist inspired artists. Lovely staff, especially those Manning the family sections.

I remember going to the Tate Shop with my classmate, the place is very length, colourful and vivid and modern-day feel with different picture display onto the wall. The problem is the price of Books and Art equipment which some may cost More
