Love the galleries we are so lucky to have them. Pretty empty at the moment, great for viewing.

Museum not well known but it really deserves, it alternates rooms that display English paintings from 1450 onwards, up to contemporary art.
Excellent Burne-Jones exhibition and such a lovely building.
A wonderful museum and collection. A short walk from Pimlico station and easy to find. On this occasion we attended the William Blake exhibition which was fantastic. We have also took advantage of the free gallery tours which take place More
For a museum with such regard it could have a warmer staff.
An indispensable museum to visit in London, the collection is segmented by age and consequently by artistic schools giving the impression that we see the evolution of art in the last centuries in a pleasant way. Turner's collection is also a must.
Brilliant exhibition (Don McCullin) once we found the ticket desk! Poor signage, not what one expects from The Tate - must do better!
Good exhibitions along with a range of british art.
One of my favorites museums in London, it has both old and new things.
Wonderful institution and top marks for hosting the Don McCullin exhibition!
A stunning exhibition of Burne-Jones paintings and sketches + a very nice parsnip soup !
I visited for the first time in 20 years in early March. It was great that Millet's Ophelia wasn't on display, but as in the past, my favorite Turner's room would just stay in a nice space that would not get in the way of painting. The works are great, but I am grateful to the staff's dexterity, quick movements and honesty to answer any unobtrusive standing positions and questions.
Blake exhibition overcrowded which drove us out. Otherwise very enjoyable. Members' cafe seemed as expensive as the regular one and no lifts working up to it.
Turners and Blakes alone are worth the trip (and a donation); special exhibits are terrific. A better permanet collection than the Tate Modern. The Whislter restaurant, for special occasions, has one of the best wine lists in London.
It is a beautiful structure, a period is associated with each salon.
A well layed out gallery with a very strong collection of prominent British artists
The Tate has a wonderful collection, of course, but I found their labels for the paintings really helped my appreciation and understanding of the artwork. Their Instagram virtual tour was a fun up-to-date feature for Instagram lovers.
It was Saturday during a half- term holiday, so lots of families with children were in the museum and it was wonderful to see the ways the museum was working to engage younger museum goers.
The cafe has really good food and beverage choices. Very nice espresso drinks.
Overall, a great way to spend the day engaging with art.
Super images from the 16th century inclusive. I would recommend !!!
Van Gogh! There are 50 pieces of Van Gohn's works in the special exhibition.
Museums what is not to love about it. Rubbish art to fine art, art of everything.
An exceptional museum by its collections and its charming setting. London must-see.
Do you love works by Turner and the Pre-Raphaelites? Then go to Tate Britain!
Forget the special exhibition at the National Gallery! No comparison!
Superb gallery in general with fabulous exhibitions. The "Aftermath" was so interesting and well put together; probably better that for Otto Dix in the 90s as there were many other relevant artists. The rooms where it was held seem to often More
Too many people allowed in at any one time which prevented proper viewing. Also the way round the exhibition could have been worked out more logically to enable maximum viewing. It seemed a haphazard route. The photos themselves were amazing.
I had never visited it and it seemed very nice, not only to enjoy the collections they exhibit but also the majestic building that contains them. It takes a couple of hours to visit the entire museum, in addition to visiting the traveling exhibitions, which was that of van gogh. Very nice and of course free.
It's part of the Tate franchise, that speaks for itself.
Everyone who loves art history should see this gallery covering English art from the 16th and especially the 19th century.
Became members in order to visit the Vincent van Gogh exhibition. It was really good, and if we come to just two more exhibitions in the coming year, also great value for money. Makes an interesting and different family day out
one of the best galleries in London for the best classic paintings and sculptures. the building is enormously spacious and very relaxing to explore.
Amazing building. The spotlight exhibition was beautiful. Helpful staff. Had lunch in the Rex Whistler restaurant stunning room good was plentiful and very good. Staff friendly. Slightly expensive and due to the weather it was stifiling air con desperatly needed!
One of the world's greatest art galleries. Fantastic building. Amazing collection. Very accessible
Fantastic especially loved Henry Moore. My first visit to the tate and I didn't realise how big it was. It was amazing and I'd love to go back
Excellent exhibition space, well organized services and catering.
Very bad experience
I went to deliver Parcel made me wait 2 hours at security
One of the most underrated museum in London! The collection is precious. The architecture and the interior design exude beautiful, understated charms. I love coming here on a random weekdays when the museum is quiet. The permanent collection is free so anyone can enjoy the work of the masters from around the world. The museum restaurant is absolutely beautiful and would be perfect for special occasions.
I much prefer Tate Modern, this has a different feel but try for yourself :)
No major exhibitions at this time (one on Blake has now opened) an interesting art museum to wander around for a bit!
Great museum, great exhibitions. However, note to all London museums: please stop exclusively selling tofu-quinoa-halloumi multi-grain salads and sandwiches.
Large, welcoming gallery with a range of styles and works of art
amazing place. Includes classic works and contemporary art too!
Not as touristic as other museums in London, the Tate Britain is a nice art museum, well organized and it includes many masterpieces. It is worth to go when one wants to avoid the crowds.
We went to see the Don McCullin exhibition on a timed entry ticket. The excellent exhibition was married by there being simply too many people. You couldn't actually see the photos due the crowd being at least 4 deep. Very badly managed.
Amazing place! Not as central as many of London's galleries but well worth a visit.
One of my favourite painters: Turner is feature here is such a genial way! I love the classic paintings and the modern exhibits, always a pleasure to visit this museum! Be sure to explore it all! They have interesting exhibits in the main hall and second floors
Have invested in aa annual pass for The Tate Britain & Tate Modern as visit several times a year. Always new & exciting works to see....have enjoyed many exhibitions including Georgia O'Keeffe, Matisse, Ai Weiwei. The current David Hockney Exhibition at the Tate Britain is a must. Don't miss the fabulous view across London from the top of the Switch building or the view across the Millennium Bridge to St Paul's Cathedral. Highly recommended.
ITS FOR FREE!! how can people not come here?! Perfect place to spend a few hours with friends, family or even the old people :) So many different things going on that you don't get bored.
I will visit again.
Sometimes it's not clear what a particular item is, but "I'm an artist, I see it")) The entrance is free, along the bus stop.
Well, mediocre. The collection is not too rich, mostly British. Turner didn t come in ... Somehow after the Italians of the Renaissance, so-so ... Plus -free, you can run by the way for an hour ...
Verified, no need to pay for tickets, at least something is free ...
I really enjoyed The Tate; I found the art really provocative and intrigueing. Some of the art may seem mundane however once you consider what was painted in the society the artists live in, only then do you feel the gravity of their imagination.
A national treasure of a gallery. I like the art from the 20th century, 1920-1950's. Good selection of places to eat as well.
A must visit museum in London , glad I ve became a member
