I m fed up of ordering on Uber eats and deliveroo waiting for more than 1 hour for it to arrive and when it does come the custard is always cold!! And I found hair in my sponge cake. Never again!!
They do really know how to whip up a wonderful cake. Forget anything your doing and go down there and grab a slice or 2 or 3 or 4 or a whole cake I guarantee you that it will best cake you tasted in a while
The cakes here are Too beautiful 12/10 & the staff are always bussing banters with the customers. It may seem like this is a fake review but I m saying this with my heart; you re a fool if you pass this shop to go to another one . I just More
Ordered two portions of Apple Crumble off of Ubereats from the Caramel Tart Company only to find that the apple crumble was not cooked at all! Flour is near enough fresh from the packet sitting on top of the apple base. When reporting it to company we was told by the manager it is not a concern because it is not a high risk. All while she is screaming down the phone at me, calling herself professional then hangs up the phone and accidentally calls us off of her personal number and is discussing us with the team! Disgusting behaviour. Since they didn t want to give me an email address to send in a photo I guess I will post it here for EVERYONE to see!
Honestly not over the appalling service that followed the poor excuse of undercooked apple crumbles! The first thing the manager had said to me was I know you I had you before....NO! Could it be possible that your standards of food is unacceptable and possibly me and other previous customers have had the same issue, that you have not managed to fix? Horrible manager!

Waited for almost an hour for delivery. Then it was cancelled. I called the restaurant to be spoken to like dirt so I hung the phone up. I then received a phone call from a mobile number to give me more abuse. The person took my number to call from a mobile number. Shocking service and place. Can t wait to be walking past!
I love the tart company & they have nice staff however my recent experience was not good. They have always had good sized deserts however I got a usual order tonight & I was shocked when I opened the bag & seen they have made the custard significantly smaller compared to what it used to be & also the size of the caramel slice I got was shocking .. It's like they have got quite popular now & decided to downsize things & charge the same amount. Very disappointed. Waste of my money
This place is the shizzle (the best)! I love this place! They do all the back to school cakes and really brings me back to 1996, when I was only 10 years old! Their caramel tarts are great, as well as their pinkalisious with custard. They do coconut and raspberry cake, carrot cake and also do milk shakes! But my ultimate favourite has to be the quality chocolate cake and chocolate custard. I love that and when I eat that, I am completely oblivious to what s happening in the world around me! They also take orders for parties if you need any desserts!

Fantastic tasting cakes. A throwback to the classic primary school desserts. Great range and diversity of cakes, the caramel tart is fantastic. But if you can, try the white chocolate cake .

I have been ordering from Caramel Tart Company ever since they ve opened back in 2017 and I have introduced their cakes to everyone I know! Their cakes are a must to try especially the school cakes they taste exactly like the school cakes I used to have in school. Decently priced and most of the time you ll get massive slices!

Came here yesterday, ordered the "best of four" cherry crumble, strawberry coconut sponge and the Tottenham cake(for myself and 3 others) I tried a bit of all the cakes and they were simply the best! I was served swiftly and the service is amazing! I cannot wait to go back again
Ordered a rainbow cake and specifically asked for the cake to not be cut into slices in which the they said was ok. When I got to the shop it seemed like they did not have the cake ready so they got random slices and placed it into a box. I asked why it had been cut and the lady stated they have to cut the cake so that it can fit in the box.
Was not happy at all as this was supposed to be a birthday cake. I will definitely not be ordering again!
I use to love this place, but the cakes have become so inconsistent! Its either really great or really dry and stale. Standards have for sure slipped!

The desserts were tasty. However, we ordered on deliveroo and each slice came in thick plastic containers. It seemed very wasteful and produced a lot of excess plastic waste. I d recommend they switch over to cardboard or paper containers for takeout orders.
I was walking passed this place and someone asked me for change or to buy them some food. I had no change, so I opted to buy them food and the lady walked into this place. The lady that worked that covered the cost of the cake and gave the homeless woman the order for free.
I thought it was a nice thing of her to do, so I ordered some desserts. They were delicious.
Just ordered via Deliveroo as I was feeling too lazy for the walk. Generous portions and really does taste like back at school cakes which filled me with all sorts of happiness. Definitely recommended.
Dropped 2 stars simply because of the dry caramel tart, why is the pastry so thin & dry? A little over priced too. And the custard portions are a joke would rather stop off at tesco for Ambrosia 5 star for the concept though as it defo reminds me of school days. The sprinkle cake is so soft & tbf the apple crumble is how i like it more crumble than apple lol
I do love this place the selections of cakes are amazing and they do taste as good as they look.My only downfall is the amount of plastic you guys use! Every slice of cake is in a plastic container along with your custards.Then you issue out the plastic spoons! Im not usually big on this sort of thing but with everything going on in the media and this subject I think you as a company really need too address it.But great cakes none the less :-)

The cakes are amazing soft and scrumptious. You have to try it out especially after a meal. Great value and portion. I like to try different camera each time with hot custard to go with.

Definitely order from this place if you want the best cakes you've ever had with great service.
I ordered using UberEats & each time the delivery driver would pick up multiple orders from other restaurants, before cancelling after 30 mins of accepting my order to be picked up. This happened 3 times. On each occasion I spoke to the store, as UberEats & their drivers were unresponsive. The staff in the store was very helpful & apologetic. Finally when I did receive my order, the store sent a note of apology for the delay & compensated with some extra cake, even though this was not any fault of their own. I'm grateful for the service received. The cakes are absolutely delectable. Highly recommended to try.

Placed order on deliveroo, took upto an hour to deliver. I ordered a caramel tart and salted caramel brownie. The caramel tart was broken in the container. The Brownie was not nice at all, i understand it is salted caramel, however it had a very overpowering salty taste, felt like I was having just salt on its own! could not taste the sweetness of the brownie.
Delicious cakes, good value for money. Had their selection of sponge cakes in March 2020 when visiting my auntie. My cousins favourite cake shop. Freshly baked cakes. I think I would only stick to the baked goods though. I need to open a shop like this in Birmingham!!! A small cake take away.

Second time had something from here, first time it was alright, but today their caramel tart actually tasted like vomit with ambrosia custard.
Normally I would brush it off and not give bad reviews for any place that I haven t liked, but this tasted so horrendous that thinking of it is making me feel sick.

Would have got 5*, as the cakes, staff are great, but lost one due to the queuing time & if less noisy children/teenagers weren't allowed to linger around the entrance for long periods at a time. If they aren t buying & being disruptive, they should be moved on by staff, as it s off putting for paying customers. Not easy to do, but please be mindful of this.

Lovely cakes, with great customer service. Don't be put off by the lack of branding on the store front. Sizes are generous. Cakes are moist, and the flavours taste authentic. Ask for a sample! They deliver too!
I was driving past yesterday, saw a group of people waiting and then the curiosity got the better of me. I ordered the best of 7 combo and still in awe that so much cake, custard and cream is served for only 8. I waited for circa 20 minutes for my order as there was a backlog of orders. The young man was very apologetic for the delay.
Definitely good value for money given the cakes are made in the premises, the premises looked clean and hygienic too and the workers all had caps on.
They take card payments and the order in store is cheaper compared to just-eat and other platforms. For example the combo was 9.99 online. Also didn t have to pay for the delivery. Will definitely come back when I am in the area, thank you very much curiosity.
Cakes are one of the best from this place however my last experience i ordered a milkshake (snickers) which not only felt like I was just drinking milk mixed with ice cream and chocolate sauce but there was a hair inside my milkshake! I was really disappointed as the cakes are really nice however the milkshakes just did not have any from of chocolate snickers bits inside.
Well what can I say, The staff are superb. They are soo kind and always enthusiastic offering a great service to every customer. The cakes are really good, ordered the pinkalicious and been craving it ever since. Really reminded me of my primary school days.

i ve placed an order on ubereats from here and it s been over an hour and they re still preparing my order which is ridiculous cos it says between 35-45 mins on the app. completely appalling.
For a place that sells same dessert as in their name I really expected at least a decent tart, instead I got a thin stale piece of dough covered with a caramel spread... Very disappointed. The staff was lovely though, and other cakes didn't look bad, so hopefully I was just unlucky and got a few pieces from an old batch.

Fantastic cake company. Brings back memories. They have all old school cakes and caramel tart. However, the caramel tart base needs to be softer and not hard like a rock. The quality of the cakes are superb. It'll be good if Deliveroo can deliver to Aldgate area as i tend to use them a lot. I know UberEats and Just It cover the Aldgate area but they charge too much delivery fee.
The caramel tart doesn't remind me of school with the thin flat base sorry but not sorry. I used to enjoy there apple crumble & sprinkle cake but it seems as though everything's gone downhill especially for the price. Servings are also not looking as presentable, slap dash.
