Been here quite a few times and service isn't to good 90% of the time. Some times you don't even get a waitress coming to your table to take your order after 15 odd minutes. You have to hail your own waitress.

Food is very bland and "commercial" not authentic at all really. Spring rolls are very bland and when I asked originally for veggy spring rolls, I was asked by the waitress if I wanted satay with them? Um yes I guess? Then I was brought out tofu with satay. When I said this is not what I ordered the waitress got quite upset at me. No my fault you didn't write it down or double check the order.

There were boiled eggs!!?? in the Laksa? Well half an over boil egg......Steamed rice was hard. Could of made it all at home ourselves really and it would of ended up better and cheaper.

Tired it a few times and every time disappointed.

I eat here often and the food is very good the staff are very helpful professional and always smile.

For all you Winging princesses ...get a life!sometimes the place is busy and you won't get served within 30 seconds. Stop being a wombat and thinking you have a right to complain and Winge about every little thing that doesn't go your way .

Their Katsu chicken meal is the best in Vic Park. Mostly friendly staff. Sushi train is of good quality but be warned; it's very easy to spend upwards of $45 for two people here, more if you're buying drinks also.

Nice place for fast and fresh food, consistent service and choice. We had to get to a show so ate very fast but loved the sushi train food choices. Service was a little slow (at a quiet time - early evening) but they got there eventually and were helpful. Liked some of their spins on the sushi-crab filling on top, and many others.

Always a favourite. Fresh food very well cooked and presented. The first place I ever ate in Aus in 2014 it s never disappointed. We collected tonight (cut out the uber middleman commission) as always the best food. I m looking forward to eating off the sushi train ASAP

Wasn t impressed with their sushi and rolls.

Wasn t impressed with their sushi and rolls.
The table was sticky and far from clean. Same as their plastic chopsticks.
On the contrary this place is quite cheap and the staff are very pleasant.

OMG!! Gone are the days when sushi train was an awesome cheap meal!
While the variety is great the price is high.
Very sad
OMG on the sushi train, 2 (yes 2!!) oysters $7.90!!!!
3 pieces of salmon sashimi $6.90
A jelly cup $4.90!!

Sigh
And this is why the death of the sushi train is happening, greed is not always good

Went in close to closing time, the staff didn't rush us and allowed us to sit & finish our meal & drinks in peace. When everything else was shutting half an hour before the advertised time, this was refreshing

Excellent casual dining - amazing Vietnamese salad which I loved - pork cutlet, pork spring rolls and the sauce all had incredible flavor (much better than other Vietnamese places next door). Agadashi tofu was brilliant and array of sushi options - all thumbs up. Have been back twice in recent times.

Better selection on the sushi train than most dedicated sushi places. Good range of cakes and pastries made in house. Perhaps too good ... as i have regretably had two occasions where the cake was dry stale and a good few days old. Other than that its all good

I expected sushi train to be pricey and this was no exception. Light dinner for two was over $50. But there was little sushi most of it was tuna or seafood highlighter. And it was bland. Not a fan

The sushi is so good, although is a little on the expensive side the quality is worth the price tag. The booths are great, and being able to order a meal off the menu while getting sushi off the train is really nice. Plus if you feel like it you can have a glass (or a bottle) or wine! Last time I went it was a Wednesday and they had a dish of the night (I don t think it was actually called that, but it was something along those lines) which that night was the pad thai and it was only $10. Such good value! And such a yummy meal.

I've been here a few times and they're always great. Friendly service, food comes out fast, a variety of dishes on the sushi train. The staff are friendly and helpful, they are happy to recommend dishes. There's a sushi train for a quick meal, but there's also a kitchen where you can order Japanese, Vietnamese, or Thai foods. They are all prepared fresh and are delicious, though the Japanese is the best in my opinion! The only bad thing I have experienced so far is that it can get quite loud inside and the layout of the restaurant doesn't have very good acoustics. Overall, Tao is a great place to go, whether it's a date night or family dinner.
