Nothing special. I've only eaten here once, but I can honestly say that I prefer the vermicelli combos at Thai Tai over Tamarind. The flavour just wasn't there, and I didn't really see any difference between this restaurant and most Vietnamese take-out joints. I won't avoid it, but I won't be going out of my way to return here either. Watercress on 17 Ave is much better in my opinion, and with similar price points.

The mom and pop shop you don't want to miss!

The mom and pop shop you don't want to miss!
The owners and their son are always so friendly and willing to accommodate most requests. The food is all filled with lots of flavour and at great prices being that it's down town.

One of my favourite places in Calgary!

One of my favourite places in Calgary!
I think what I appreciate most is the amount of care that goes into the food here. I have come here several times and one of twice I wasn t able to get in and there was a 45min wait. And I wasn t even upset - the wait wasn t just because it was busy, but because they said it would take time to make another fresh pot of broth. Knowing the food is fresh and delicious and the service is great, is why I highly recommended to anyone who love quality Vietnamese. (Great price point too!)

Needed pho, like now. It happens often.

Google told me about this quaint Vietnamese noodle house and others have rated it quite high. Boom. Let s go.

Order beef pho as usual but this is a vegetarian restaurant! I had no idea but it was amazing. Very happy I came on by. Cheers!

This has to be by far my favorite restaurant in Calgary, the spicy lemongrass tofu vermicelli is absolutely amazing, spring rolls are also to die for. I love that every time it's consistently delicious!

I went there because of a recommendation. Travel 30 minutes to get there, they closed at 8pm, I showed up at 7:49 and even though the restaurant was packed (with people starting to eat their meal), as soon as my partner and I walked in, the guy says take out only, we are closing . They should mention that they don t take new clients after certain time instead of closing at 8 but rejecting clients who will never go back again due to this.

This place is a great hole in the wall. The seating is very limited. There's about 5 tables in this place and most of them are pretty small. It gets busy fast so it's always a good idea to make a reservation if you want to ensure you'll have table to sit at.

If not, they do take out as well. I recently had their Bo Heu and Pho as a take out option and the containers they used were great. No spills, no mess. It transported back to my house safely.

Months previous to that, I had their Curry Laska and my buddy had the Bun Bo Hue and both soup bases were pretty great.

The staff are friendly and the food takes around 15 minutes so the wait isn't too long. Plus it all tastes phenomenal so the wait is worth it. Oh, and the prices aren't that bad either. Pretty inexpensive. The average amount is around $15 dollars. Most of the dishes I order is less than that, so it's a great place to dine as a student.

This place is amazing! Their restaurant is easily the best in the city for Vietnamese food. No matter what you do, you've got to try this place. Located at 106-1111 6th Ave SW Calgary AB T2P5K1 in a ground-floor suite. The cozy atmosphere is nice to go on a date or for lunch or dinner with friends. The owners really care about the food they make and the satisfaction of their customers. You will be disappointed. Their Pad Thai and stir fry's are unbelievably good.

Best vegan lemongrass vermicelli I've ever tasted! This food is soooo delicious! They don't use MSG. I always feel great after eating here. They also have a interesting tea that is naturally purple and turns blue with lime juice.

A vegan Vietnamese cuisine with excellent food! And I'm not a vegan or vegetarian. You won't be disappointed. The space is small, so you may need to get it to go. I had the stir fry eggplant with tofu and it was the first tofu I've ever really liked. Turns out that they make it themselves. Definitely worth stopping in!

This place is amazing! I recommend the Tofu Noodle Soup. The dishes are cheap, the portions are massive, and they prepare the food in a timely manner. The food is 100% vegan and there is a variety of Vietnamese and Chinese food to choose from. The only downside of this place is that it is TINY, if I recall correctly there are four two-person tables and two four-person ones. At peak times expect a wait, but I guarantee it will be worth it.

very rude & food made me sick :(
I called to put an order in on the phone and the guy who took my order was so rude and short as if his day was ruined by taking the call.. When I went in he was just as rude. Then charged me $2 for hoisin sauce but didn't provide any with the order when usually you can use as much as you want when you dine in. The deep fried dumplings/wontons were so burnt and hard to eat.. Then My head and *other places* got itchy which is a sign of really cheap oil or something super icky they cooked with and of course I ended up in bed with nausea and a queasy stomach that didn't feel better until I took 3 charcoal herb pills.. Disappointing because I used to love their food...

Heard about this place from a few folks. The entire restaurant is plant based. Had the house special pho and it was very flavorful, their house made tofu is simply delicious. Green papaya salad was very authentic and also featured the house made tofu. Excited to come back and try the pad Thai! Whether you are vegan or not.. This place is amazing!

My absolute favourite place to eat in Calgary. Best Vietnamese food in the city. Always fresh, healthy, fast, friendly, and full of flavour. Amazing dishes come out of this tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant kitchen. Do not miss this downtown hidden gem.

I have only one regret: not having discovered this gem sooner! The food was simply delectable and, from a vegan s perspective, very different from what I m used to! Alex, the owners son, was very nice to talk with and gave us good recommendations about what to order.

I 100% recommend, and will go back soon.

Wow - an all-vegetarian, vegan-friendly Vietnamese restaurant that's also happy to accommodate gluten-free diners? That makes the freshest, most delicious Vietnamese food around? With super-friendly, attentive owners/operators? The only downside here is that the space is pretty small so there aren't a lot of tables. The pho is probably the best thing you could possibly eat on a cold winter's day. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Highly recommend this restaurant! The menu is vegan, but even as a non vegan I still come here. The food is really OUT of this world and filled with such rich and authentic Vietnamese flavours. My favorite dish is the pad thai. The restaurant itself is quite small, so I recommend making a reservation. The owners are extremely friendly, and make the dining experience very enjoyable.

I just recently returned to Calgary after being away for a year and was craving the BBQ tofu with sizzling sticky rice. I hadn't been there for a year, yet Alex remembers what I usually ordered and joked about that fact, he also remembered my companions last order. The food is fantastic, as always, and the service is always the best. Everyone go eat here now!!!!

Family owned and operated Vietnamese restaurant. The food and service here is really quite good, and all prepared by them on site. The freshness is fantastic, all vegitarian menu with home made sauces etc. Definitely worth a stop, if going during rush hours plan ahead and reserve a table... a smaller seating area.

I am not a vegan, nor am I a vegetarian. I would totally go vegan for the food here, though. The noodle soup was flavourful and the rolls were just delightful. The staff there were fun and pleasant to talk to. If you live in Calgary and haven't had this, you're missing out. If you're just visiting Calgary, have one of your meals here. I'm definitely coming back to this place if I ever visit Calgary again.

This is the best Vietnamese food you can get in the city of Calgary. It is not a massive mega-restaurant, it is a small place. It is like having a friendly family cook you dinner. That comment before mine about the soup stock is right, I've seen them making it from scratch and it is amazing. I have driven incredibly long distances across the city to pick food up here, and the prices are cheap to boot. In fact I'm getting hungry just writing this review, I think I'll stop by there after work. If you want fresh, authentic Vietnamese food served by the nicest family around, check this place out.

The broth is amazing and totally vegan. Pho broth is usually made with cow or chicken bones so I don't know how they do it. I'm not vegan but I have cut down on meat significantly, and eating here I do not miss it one bit. Try the tofu soup and bun hue!
