Went to this restaurant as a person in our party was vegan. And boy was this the best decision one has made in such a long time. The food was fabulous; not to mention the great hospitality of the people operating the small business.

Ordered the Eggplant fried rice. The eggplant was extraordinary delicious, the rice wasn't the best. But the sauce of the eggplant made it worth it.

This place has the best tofu in town. They make it themselves and it's delicious. I love the tofu basil stir fry, all the noodle soups, the spring rolls, and the eggplant stir fry. Super yummy vegan food

Hands down my favorite restaurant - I'm not even a vegetarian. The family who runs this business are calm, friendly, and extremely accommodating. Sometimes I can even buy a little extra home made tofu to take home with me! The dishes are quickly served, priced fairly, plentiful and beautiful to feast your eyes and stomach on. If you haven't visited this place yet, you are missing out!

I HIGHLY recommend you to add that you are vegan. I did not see that anywhere and I proceed to buy. It is not what I was expecting because of the vegan flavor.
It is kinda expensive for what we got and the sauces they add are so small and you get charge for them.

I don't think we are going back there but if you are vegan I am sure you'll like it.

Been here twice, it was awesome both times. Awesome good, good potions sizes, reasonably priced. Just add some Vietnamese subs with tofu to the menu!

The Laksa and Tofu Sate are just sooo good, the spring rolls are the best I have had. I usually don't like the mock beef, but it was good as well.

Must visit.

I have to give their delicious dishes, which are all vegan, 5 stars!

I'd steal one star for not opening on Sundays but that would not be fair: this is a family operated business and they need to enjoy a well deserved day off!

This restaurant is quite small and the parking is free only after 6pm but they are located in downtown - and their prices reflect this. That said, their portions are generous and the food is AWESOME TASTING and HEALTHY!

Fantastic food! Great value, great service! I loved that the entire menu is Vegan. The Pad Thai was excellent the venue wasn't the greatest ambience and they don't serve alcohol. But all in all a great place!

The tofu is amazing, quality of food and portion size is both phenomenal. Yes, it can be more expensive than the typical Vietnamese restaurant downtown. However, for a few dollars more you're getting fresh, homemade and authentic food. Try the pad thai! Life changing.

Very tiny restaurant with zero atmosphere, kind of smoky and not the most modern, however, I didn't really care about any of that since the food was delish and had so many great vegan options! I had a vermicelli bowl with mock beef and it was super fresh, and the mock beef tasted pretty darn close to beef. My partner had the tofu option and it was also delish!

The tom yom soup was great, with fresh ingredients and mouthwatering flavors. The service was quick and friendly. But there was a lot of overlap in the dishes. It was like eating the same vegetables over and over. The prices are nominal. Seating is appropriate. It is a family owned business, so it had a cosy feel to it.

We had high expectations based on the reviews and our expectations were met!
It is a small family owned business, the son helped us and he was friendly and welcoming.
The food is affordable, fresh and tasty.
As non vegetarians we LOVE finding good vegetarian restaurants!

Having just returned from Tamarind, having celebrated my anniversary, I can honestly say that this tiny yet cozy restaurant merits every 5 star review it receives!
Tamarind took a huge risk a number of years ago when the owner decided to live her beliefs and make it a full on vegan establishment. They took a lot of negative attention from a bunch of lots as they slowly became known in the vegan community. Today, word of mouth brings many to Tamarind, where the dishes captivate new followers!

For once I didn't order my usual Lakh Sa- um, okay so I ordered it to go- and instead went for the Tofu Curry, substituting rice noodles over the brown rice. A rich yellow curry in coconut milk accompanied by the rice noodles-perfect! Mmmm...

My wife started with her go-to dish, the Mango Salad, followed by the Eggplant Curry with brown rice. This being a new dish for her, she became enamored of it with the first morsel- a hint of sweetness works so well with the nuttiness of the brown rice, the tofu...etc...

Sorry, no dessert- usually what happens! Next time perhaps!

Tasty little shop for flavorful Vietnamese dishes. The entire menu is vegetarian, with lots of vegan and gluten free options. The meat alternatives are tasty even for the carnivores among your party.
Dining space is limited, so call ahead if you plan to bring a bigger group.

They have good food, and do a great job with mock meat. BUT overall cleanliness isn't great. The cooks do not wear hair nets, but they do wear hats. Unfortunately I still found a hair in my pad thai. Kinda ruined it sadly. The menus look terrible and are old too.

Tahnee introduced me to this place and I love it! It was so busy today they had to close early because they ran out of food. Good thing we got there before that happened. Both the House Special Pho and the 5 Spice Ramen are delicious!

On a gloomy Tuesday whilst contemplating where to eat, I fortunately stumbled on this gem. All plant based which many serve but a few take the time to properly clean and put the heritage of tastes and spices which brings it all together. Good pricing, healthy eating, great customer service. I had the plant based spicy beef pho.

Tamarind blows my mind each time I go. They have the best pad Thai in the city but I hardly ever order it because the sizzling sticky rice is my absolute favourite dish anywhere. The food here is always fresh and healthy and DELICIOUS. Also, it s a great family run place with mom and dad cooking and one of the kids, usually Alex, out front. I have never left feeling anything but wondering why I go anywhere else. Not just for vegans. This is a must go!

So delicious I barely noticed not having meat in the dish! Just do yourself a favour and try it at least once - even if you think meat should be in every meal. As a bonus - they have many options that can be made gluten free if you want.

Table next to us sat down After we ordered and received their food first. Apparently they cater specifically to certain customers. Pad Thai took 40 minutes with a restaurant containing 15 people. Slow service will not come back.

I love their selection; you could eat here daily and cycle through all the dishes and never get bored. The vegetables are plentiful and fresh, the tofu and sauces are to die for, and the dishes are so filling and made with so much attention and care from the amazing family that runs it. Currently not vegan but they sure make it easy to make the switch! Haven't had a bad dish yet and have been going here for years, love the new location! Take out is in paper boxes which is great for those who are trying to decrease plastic and styrofoam consumption too
