Very big menu of great and interesting cocktails, many of them with very cool presentations. Wonderful service and cool food accompanied the cocktails, making it a very good experience.

It s not possible to rate this bar highly enough - I ve never had such incredible service at any bar, hotel, restaurant, store, you name it. We went on a busy night with no reservation and managed to get a seat after a short wait, during which time the host managing the door made sure we were totally looked after and never felt forgotten. Aside from the fact the cocktails were brilliant and the menu was so extensive there really must be something for everyone, you really feel like the people who work at this bar love their jobs, care about you having a good time and care about providing the best possible service. It s absolutely unparalleled and though this is not a bar for rowdy boozy gatherings, it s the perfect place to hide away with a partner in crime or catch up with old friends in a candlelit corner. I hope to visit again if I return to Amsterdam in future

This bar is great, their choice for cocktails and spirits is unknown. Although on dry January, I still was spoiled for choice when it came to mocktails; they just think of something based on your preferred flavor palette. They're THAT creative. Me and my date had a great time and an awful lot to drink :) I'll definitely come back again!

Local placed in a narrow and characteristic alley. It has very few tables outside, and not many more inside, completely made of wood. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the waiters and the head nurse available and jovial, the lights very low. Excellent classic cocktails, to try even the "specialties" of the house.

Amazing service along with amazing cocktails. The presentation of the drinks is quirky and the flavours are balanced and interesting. It is a little bit pricey but worth it. My only complaint is the menu is difficult to read because the pages are thick cardboard.

Excellent cocktails!
Tales & Spirits was our favorite cocktail bar in the center of Amsterdam. Their menu is interesting (especially that of Old fashion ) and the service is really great! All the staff are friendly, smiling, attentive ... I loved it!

Unique place with amazing cocktails. They are expensive but worth it. Be aware that there is a dress code: you at your best. They dont expect a 3 piece suit but I would not were ripped jeans.

Great atmosphere, great drinks. The staff was friendly and they even gave free bottled water while you wait for your drink

Nice place, expensive drinks and regular sruff. I would have expected that in a place like that the cruw will be more service and customers oriented but the bartender was not, he was totally focused on the drinks and making big moves and not about us. He didn't actually understood which cocktails an flavors I like and made a medium sour cocktail which was OK but definitely not a 12 EUR one.
To bad, hope they will upgrade

The waiters have a lot of knowledge and are great at making a cocktail with just a couple words. Nice atmosfere!

It s an experience, not just a standard cocktail bar. The staff are very friendly and attentive, you can tell the bar staff what flavours you like and they can recommend a drink or create one for you. The cocktails are delicious and very inventive, we even had one served in a lampshade.

The place is really nice. You can find perfect cocktail for your taste. Always crowded. Hard to find a space to sit. So try to go early. Every week they have different types of cocktails. So don't miss the change when you arrive there. Start with cocktails of the week. The menu is really huge. Including many 'tales'. Prices are 8-20 for a cocktail.

Absurd. They take your jacket and say, "this is not a game, try to move" in acceptable. I prefer Grolsch: calm, calm and welcoming. More accessible with prices and understandable menu

We went because we read very good reviews and we were not disappointed. The cocktails are very original, a bit expensive but acceptable for the show. The treatment of the staff is unbeatable and the atmosphere great. We recommend it 100%

I did not like it, the cocktails seemed to be of high quality, but not tasty, I tried 6 different ones, I can not recommend at least one of them. And the prices are pretty high.

Very, very cool cocktail bar. Just off the main tourist path, the staff here is amazing from the doorman, to the bartender, to the servers. Place has a story for all its drinks which gives it a interesting twist.

Easily the best bar that we visited in Amsterdam. Really interesting cocktails and a ton of choices. Super friendly folks running the bar and they are happy to chat about their drinks and help you order based on your preferences.

Great, quiet bar with fantastic cocktails and great service. They got my total love after they provided water all night long and stated 'we don't want you to get drunk'. No, the idea is to fully enjoy their drinks that are like small pieces of art.

Very friendly English speaking staff. We got there early and got seats by the front window. We got two Zombies (a very strong drink made with rum and "brains") along with the addictive crunchy chicken and bitterballen. A great place to start the night.

One of Europe s best cocktail bars, with staff trained as places such as Dry Martini in Barcelona. Their creations on the menus is great, but challenge the bartender with something customized for your taste and be surprised. Well worth a visit.

Do not miss this place! The cocktails are unreal and the tales are a fun read. The bar snacks are delicious too. Cool, hip crowd. There are obviously hundreds of places to go for a bite and drinks in Amsterdam but this place stands out above the rest.
