Checked in today for the first night of a two night stay. Although the hotel seems to have adequate covid signage and sanitizer points etc., it also appears to be totally overbooked. The latest booking available for breakfast we could get was 07:45 and the pool was fully booked for the day by the time we had checked in. We are here until Wednesday, but the pool is also fully booked until 2pm on Wednesday at the time of writing. Checkout is 11am. The tables in the reception were all full of families with drinks from the bar and also the seating area on the first floor. Kids are running wild around the hotel, with little parental intervention. First impressions count for a lot and I'm sorry to say this will be my first and last stay here. Only for the fact I couldn't book another hotel within reasonable distance, I wouldnt have stayed at all.

We dined here over 2 evenings whilst at the ploughing championships, we ate in the restaurant the 1st night and the food was fantastic. We ate in the bar the next night but had the same menu, the food again was fantastic and the service all round was great. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommend, and will definitely eat here again the next time in the area.
