Liked the lighting of the palace in night. The whole view looked very artistic and luxurious. Even small structures which form part of the outer perimeter of the palace got a character because special lighting.

Umaid Bhawan Palace as known the world's no. 1 Heritage hotel.... No hotel can match the luxury and Service....One of the largest and grandest private residences in the world. It is approximately 1/3 Residence of the Maharajah, 1/3 Museum and 1/3 Taj Hotel. The welcome with trumpets (or equivalent) and drums is just stunning.
If you wish someone a day to remember it would be an afternoon by the pool - the staff with the picnic basket - the attention to detail. Chandan & Sarwan what a team.
We had a long breakfast at "Pillars" overlooking the gardens with the accompaniment of two musicians one playing an instrument with 99 strings and the other looked like a set of drum of bongo drums. Then they played the Elvis song "I can't help falling in love with you" and there was hardly a dry eye on the verandah.
If you have a special occasion this is the place.
The hotel has two pools, both outdoor and indoor, and their indoor pool is like a cavern, I believe it is one of the largest in the country. They have a room where they have tons of boardgames for kids and adults alike, and we did spend some time there, and their library is imposing as well. Make sure to take some time to have a tour of the palace which happens every evening, it is a must. We were shown the Maharani Suite as Maharaja Suite was accompanied at that time. You do get a feel of the amazing history that is associated with the palace.

We had food at all their restaurants as well as had a nip at their famed bar. The service we received each time was outstanding. And food was lovely too. Having a nice breakfast overlooking the palace grounds with a glass of champagne is good stuff.

Finally, as much as it is about the property, which is great it itself, I believe it is the personnel there who have had such an impact on making the guests feel welcome. We ran into a bunch of great staff, right from check in as mentioned above to Suryadeep, Kaushik, Kalyan, Sahil, Vikram & Saddique Ji at restaurants and Manveer and Sumer. We found each of them delightful and amazing. Interacting with them during various parts of the stay only enhanced our stay.
We did have one small problem during our afternoon tea at
the first day, there was some delay in bringing out the tea. They were apologetic about it and we were told that it was due to a sudden audit of the kitchens. However, this in no way had any impact on our otherwise great stay whatsoever. The small mementos that the hotel provides at check out goes a long way in preserving our memories. Overall a lovely stay and we will definitely visit again when our travels take us to Jodhpur.

It's a very small museum, and to travel to this place you need to take a taxi or an Auto which will cost you minimum 100 INR one way which is not worth.
To enter the Taj Palace you need to take admission which will cost you 3000 + applicable GST and book a dining.

Palace is divided into 3 parts.one is so called royal family residence, 2nd one is hotel runs by taj group of hotel and third is Museum. Museum and hotel are open for all. I visited museum, didn't have enough bucks for hotel Museum entry is 30 ticket for indians and 50 for foreigners.
Few vintage cars are there which i liked tha most, and museum is not that great, history and photos of royal family occupied the museum totally.
But form outside palace looks beautiful and fabulous.

I was tere for a tour with my family . It is a very nice place for those who love history of jodhpur and history of raja umaid singh ji. With a highly maintained palace there are also having various kinds of artifacts, antiques as well as old rolls royes . But the most valuable thing is that the decedents of king are still living there which increase the royalty of the palace .

It is one of the top 5 star hotel . Situated in Jodhpur . It is an good example of Indo Colonial architecture . This palace is one of the largest and grandest private residences in the world . The palace was built between 1929 and the 1943 . It took 3000 artisans over fourteen years to create this magnificent structure . My family and I visited in 2014 . It is very excellent service by Staffs . Best place to visit with family and friends .

Umaid Bhavan's grandness is second to none. The hill top palace resides a grand museum of HH Gajsingh 2 and his ancestors. The museum also has vintage car collection from kings' royal rides.

Most interestingly the palace still is home to HH Gajraj Singh 2, divided in 3 parts of a museum, hotel Umaid owned by Taj group are the other 2 parts of this grand attraction.

It costs 100 INR as fee for foreign tourists and 30 INR for domestic visitors.

The museum is good in terms of experiencing the contemporary artifacts and art deco inspired architecture and visual art. But entry charges are a bit extra just to visit a museum for a commoner.

It's a nice looking and we'll maintained Palace (obliviously it has to be as the current Rana Sahib lives here) but only a third part of it is accessible to the public . As you go in there are workers who would offer you a guided tour of the palace ... My suggestion don't take it as it's not worth it ... It's a small tour. On the outside there is a small collection of premium cars .

Dive into the luxury of the palace. Staying there is unaffordable for the most of yes, but yes you can feel it by visiting the museum. It's a architectural marvel. There's a cafe which sells everything on MRP. Guides are available too. You can spend 1-2 hours easily. There's also a collection of vintage cars. Lush green garden where you can sit with your gang and its peaceful. Entery fees are 30/-

Nicely built palace by the foreign architect. The evening is the best time to visit this palace but reach there by 4 pm to see the palace and its museum including vintage car collection. The palace museum has some good collectible artifacts that are unique and precious. The museum is very well maintained. The whole palace premise is very well maintained and kept well. Signboards are installed at proper positions. Vintage car collection has some unique and long gone car as well as motorbike models that are kept well in the big glass-wooden section. Overall this palace is a good choice for a family visit or friends get together or picnic.
