Jodhpur is an Amazing place to visit!!! Specially Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada, kaylana Lake,Mandor Garden(Best if you like to capture some amazing panorma views on the top ofchamunda mandir).but but this Umaid Bhavan Palace is big Noooo
I don t understand why people even visit there!!!
First of all I have not visited there hotel so no reviews of that!!!
The palace is just to show how there raja is so lavish and used to spend extravagantly and admired by britishers (they gave guard of honour to lord lilnthigow and sitting with nehru and indira). So visit only if you wana see a corridor and some overly priced t shirts from there!!!

And some 3-4 vinatage cars!!!
Seriously a big no to this place

Attended a fancy, amazing, large-ish group dinner here in the courtyard and the food/ambience/music were all incredible. Truly mind-blowing spread of amazing food - super-fresh, very diverse, delicious, and very memorable.

Very well preserved heritage of the king which not only showcases what he was but also what he is today.
The king of today , mordern yet royal.
Which would definitely inspire you to follow him.

This palace is built at the same level as that of Mehrangarh fort and the fort is visible from the palace and vice versa.
There isn't much to see in the palace except the museum and the courtyard and those are the only parts open to the public. The Royal family still lives in one part of the palace while another part is now converted into a hotel.
It's still worth a visit while in Jodhpur. The entry fee isn't much and you'll not have to spend more than 1 year here. There is also a vintage car collection on display after you exit from the museum tour.
There's also a shop at the entrance near the ticketing booth selling the coveted Kesar kulfis.
All the reviews are true and the kulfi taste marvelous. Do try them if you visit the palace.

It's a grand hotel ! Awarded as the best hotel in the whole world, it certainly lives up to its fame.
The hotel is actually a part of the Royal residence of Maharaja of Jodhpur. The building has been leased out to the Taj group by the Maharaja and constitutes 90% part of the building.
There are many photographic location in and around the hotel, with some unconventional photo places like Maharaja's very own vintage car collection !

Good place and suitable for a couple of hours visit. Time might vary depending on the crowd inside the museum. A typical place with lot of used royal apparels, footwear, linen and other items. If you have a fantasy towards it worth a visit

Proud of our City. World's Best Royal wedding destination. Not to be missed if you plan for Jodhpur city tour. Royal family still lives here. Restaurant doesn't entertain outsider guest. You just can have a look of museum , though it is not Big museum but still worth. There is a shop inside museum, It has a lush green garden view at entrance. Outside view is Really beautiful. Big parking space for car.

Umaid Bhawan Palace, is one of the world's largest private residences. A part of the palace is managed by Taj Hotels. Named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, grandfather of the present owner Gaj Singh. The palace has 347 rooms and is the principal residence of the former Jodhpur royal family. A part of the palace is a museum. Ground for the foundations of the building was broken on 18 November 1929 by Maharaja Umaid Singh and the construction work was completed in 1943. The Palace was built to provide employment to thousands of people during the time of famine.
Recently, Umaid Bhawan Palace was awarded as the World's best hotel at the Traveller's Choice Award, which was organised by TripAdvisor.

This is not a hotel, this is an experience.

This is not a hotel, this is an experience.
The palace is has been maintained in immaculate condition, and boasts a rich history.
The food is very good, as opposed to the average food you find at typical 5 stars.
Service level is unparalled and is the reason why it's one of the much hyped topic in MBA service marketing class
