Its a display of Royalty. A beautiful construction that is mostly converted to a classy hotel and the balance is a museum. There is a segment that displays vintage cars. One should not miss the grand entrance with the helipad in front. However, the richness of the place was in a cheap contrast to the behavior of the guide who was in a hurry to finish the tour, not adding much value in exchange for the tips that was pocketed before the trip started, by demand.

We were short on time so didn't visit the palace from inside as it houses a museum and we had seen many museums on our journey to Jodhpur from Jaipur.
The building itself was built less than a century ago which is evident from the british influence on its architecture. Perched atop a hill, youhave gorgeous scenic views of the surprisingly green Jodhpur city.
There is an entry fee to go visit the museum which is 100 rupeed for foreign nationals and 30 for Indians (at the time of writing this review). There is no fee to click pictures and you can click a nice panoramic shot from the vintage car collection shed. There is no fee to view this collection which houses Rolls Royce Phantom II, Morris, Humber. Cadillac and Buick from the early 20th century. All 6 to 8 cylinders and under 60 HP. So they were beautiful cars but pretty slow I'm guessing.
Overall a nice place to visit with one of the cheapest entry fees.

TIP: Put Umaid Bhavan Museum in Google Maps else it might take you to the entrance to the hotel and you'll have to turn around.

Well built Palace. Reminds us of 19th century British Indian architecture like Parliament, Gate way of India, India Gate etc. Only 20% is available for viewing. Rest is leased to Taj groups for hotel. Toilets are dirty.

Cool tourist spot. Nice museum with good collection of Indian renaissance art. The Building itself is the finest specimen of Early 20th century pre war indian architecture. A great vintage car collection. Has a beautiful garden and a great spot to spend a day.

Wow, a huge, robust and beautifully built fort. It has also got the historical projections which are of real interest and worth of spending time and money. And the best part was the projections of cars of Maharaja's. And one more important think, it is the fort where Priyanka Chopra and Nick got married.

Beautiful palace in jodhpur. But there's nothing so great inside to see . the king's place so they have kept all his luxurious items there. Other than that nothing great to see inside. From it looks so beautiful. The collection of cars is also too good. He's having almost 10cars of different brands like humber, benz, candid etc. Nice place to visit.

This is still a colonial hotel. When I wanted to visit the restaurant, they did not even allow me inside the hotel and mentioned that the visitor fee is rs 6000. This amount was only for the entry and I would have to pay additional for any food that I order. I did not encounter such a steep visitor fee anywhere else. I did not expect this from a Taj property.

Though If your skin color is white or you have luxurious four wheeler then you should not have a problem, I guess.
