I visited umaid bhawan palace museum as tourist, museum is solely about the palace and the maharaja of Jodhpur and roayl family. It's good to know about the history and visions of maharaja umaid Singh. Museum is informative and shows of rich Marwar culture.

This palace is one of the largest private residences. Named after Maharaja Umaid Singh, grandfather of the present owner Gaj Singh. Ground for the foundations of the building was broken on 18 November 1929 by Maharaja Umaid Singh and the construction work was completed in 1943. The palace has 347 rooms and is the principal residence of the former Jodhpur royal family. A part of the palace is a museum.

Great to be there. Though limited area available for museum visit, it's worth to visit.

Umaid Bhavan Palace is a palace which really flaunts the historical architecture and blows everyone's mind. The palace is purely made up of red stones and is beautifully carved and furnished in detail.
The palace is worth visiting and you can test your photographic skills there as each and every corner of Umaid Bhavan is a place, which can turn as a classic background for your pics.
Do visit guys.. It'll be a memorable visit I bet!!

The museum is quite small as compared to the museums in other palaces.

Palace is in good condition! Well maintained! Not too old! Planned in 1943 by a British Architect!

Staying in hotel will be far better experience than visiting as a tourist. Very limited space for visitors.

The museum was awesome.Didnt even know that there was a functional airport at Jodhpur way back.

This is a modern palace. It is run as a luxury hotel by Taj Group and one of its part is set up as museum where you can see the cutlery, ornament, furniture which were used by the Royal family. Also they have a section where they have displayed Vintage cars (rolls royce, phantom). So you don't have much to explore (compared to other places) but it's beautiful which you don't wanna miss!

When you look at the monument for the first time you will not even come to know that this monument belongs to India until you read the board. It is one of the most beautiful monuments in the world. Although staying here is not everyone's cup of tea because the stay here is hell expensive. However, you can live the royal raja life if you stay in this hotel

Just like other historical places. Most part of the palace not allowed to watch.

Good architecture&engineering was used started constructing in 1928 &finished in 1943indeed a legend of Rajasthan the biggest residence

Best tourist destination also for staying in hotel (Heritage Spot). Some portion of the building is hotel and some portion of the building is tourist spot.

A must visit place, you have to see it to believe it.

I feel like ok place. People who are interested in history and like the visit heritage places then it's a must place the visit for them. Entry fee is 30 RS per person.

A superb Indian architecture sample and one of my favorite hotel in the city. The price may be high but its worthy of every penny.

Well maintained heritage museum a must visit destination

It is an excellent place as a hotel and as a museum also. You can also see here a rich lifestyle of Maharaja of Jodhpur. One who come here in jodhpur must visit Umaid Bhawan other wise its just a waste. P.S - I love this place :)

A luxurious 5 star property in Rajasthan..... What i can say will not be enough to describe this beautiful Peice on Earth. You will be treated as a king there. When you will enter here you will feel the luxury in its air..... It's very fascinating place. There are many five star hotels but this is something different than others....
ITS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY ME IF YOU BELIEVE MY WORDS......

This is one of the oldest palaces turned to a luxurious hotel now.

You can visit the palace and see a part of it from the inside too but to experience the royal heritage - you have to book a stay at this massive property.

If you are visiting Jodhpur/ Rajasthan for the first time - don t miss a visit to this palace even if not staying in the hotel.
