Amazing Royal Stay!

Amazing Royal Stay!
What an amazing experience this was! Apart from initial few glitches, we had sucha lovely stay at this palace. From the grand entry till the checkout Mr. Akshat and his team made sure we had a comfortable stay and even upgraded us to The Royal Suites. The food was an experience in itself as well and special thanks to Mr. Karan, Mr. Rawal, Ms. Manisha, Mr Jabar and Mr. Ajay and the other restaurant staff for providing us with the best hospitality and always greeting us with their warm smiles.
Feeding peacocks in the early morning was also an experience I will never forget. Thanku to the housekeeping staff for surprising my parents with the beautiful little decoration and the yummy cake.
And thanku to Mr. Swaroop for the tour of the palace and providing us with the history and background of the place and for some awesome clicks as well.
All in all this was a great royal stay and the palace is so beautiful and the sheer opulence of it just amazed us. Rooms were also clean and sanitised.
We loved our stay and would definitely love to stay here again!

Very nice place to visit in jodhpur. We were drawn to this place when we were travelling in evening in jodhpur nd could see it's magnificent view.
Although the view limit is restricted to some rooms still it gives a look of Royal life style
The vintage cars on show are very nice to watch.

Just imagination, unforgetable, great impressions, excellent, amazing, the best. Staff polite, well educated, but I must point out AKHIL from the pool area. Five stars for him

Not much to explore in the Palace. Some historical items related to the kingdom and the king are on display but photography is stiffly strictly prohibited, don't know why.
Even the items like the king's robes and rotting from the edges.
Even though they have popular hotel adjacent to the palace museum, the upkeeping is poor.
I would say that you won't miss anything if you keep this from your list.

A mind blowing palace but if u don't have a stay here(which cost approx USD 2000 ) than u cant see the palace. You can go there for lunch or dinner and thus you would be Able to see it. But for that do take reservations a qeek in advance. And enjoy.
Or else just visit the 10% of the palace turned into to museum.

Luxurious hotels of Jodhpur. One of the most expensive hotels in India. Historical property of Jodhpur. Stay here and get feeling of Royalty. Design and interior of this building is awesome. Hospitality of hotel staff is very nice and there response time is also very quick. If you have no issue about budget then you have stay in this hotel at least one day to feel the royalty.

Umaid Bahawan Palace was constructed by the King Umaid Singh of Jodhpur. It is a marvellous palace which in current situation is divided intro three parts.
The current Royal family lives in one part, the middle portion is for the display of royal artifacts as a museum and the right portion from the front is the part of the Taj heritage hotel.
For the public Museum is open from 9 AM to 5 PM
You can visit the place and can watch the vintage cars collection for free, to watch the museum you need to play a small fee.
The artifacts like Dishes, Wall watches, Polish paintings, dining and many beautiful things by which you can wonder the wealth and the royalty of the royal family.
Overall its a marvellous place and is constructed over Chittra hilla which gives a great view from the city.

It is also illuminated in the nights which looks wonderful.

Good tourist spot to visit any time . Although 70% of the palace is converted to luxurious hotel and normal visitor can only able to access to the museum, but overall one can definitely feel the rich heritage of Jodhpur's royal family .

Basically the palace is divided into 3 parts which is one small portion for public mueseum; the second converted into luxary heritage hotel & the third part where the family stays
So have visited the mueseum portion of it & i must say it the entire mueseum is amazing you will find lot of information about the heritage & culture of the maharaja
The best part of this place is the heritage car collection which is totally worth watching
do not forget to watch it as it has centuries old vintage cars which are being operated once in a year also

I was a guest at the High Tea at the Umaid Palace in February 2019. Without a doubt it was the most appalling experience I had during my 3 week travels throughout India. Price was excessive for what we received. We were seated and watch staff dither around for about 15 minutes. Then we were served warm stewed tea which I had to send back. The sandwiches, which initially I thought were toasted were in fact stale and the filling was sparsely spread on bread that was as thick as Texan Toast. The sweat treats were tasteless and again certainly not fresh. Though guests 2 weeks before were offered champagne as an inclusion in their High Tea we had to pay extra for a glass or very bad Indian bubbles. Save your $A65 (plus taxes) and give to a beggar - it will leave you feel so much better.
