Wonderful architecture, but museum was short, poorly laid out and unimpressive. Not worth the higher foreigner entry fee at all.

Located in jodhpur in Rajasthan, is one of the world largest private resident. A part of the palace in managed by Taj hotal. Named after maharaja ummaid singh ji. Grandfather of the present owner Gaj singh. The place has 347 rooms and is the principal residence of the former jodhpur royal family. A part of the palace is a museum. Grounds for the foundation of the building was broken on 18 November 1929 by maharaja umaid singh and the construction work are complet in 1943

One of the best hotel in the world. Ranks 3rd among the world's best hotel. Belong to the Taj group of Hotels. It is one of the historic palace turned into a luxury hotel.

We were only visiting the palace and not the hotel. But we had a mini tour of the hotel, and i am all the more determined to stay at his luxurious hotel in coming few years.

Umaid Bhavan palace is luxury and wonderfull Palace This is Near jodhpur station around 2 km from Jodhpur Railway station and this is also close to Jodhpur International Airport. This palace is not very historical but this place is spreade very big areas. In the umaid Bhavan Palace running luxury hotels and also small part of palace museum also running for peoples.

Stone carving is very beautiful and noticeable.

Not worthy to visit... you can see only 10% part of the bhavan... rest of the part is resident and hotel,which you cant afford...

Around 20% area is for hotel.
You can get rooms from 40k to 400k

Remaining part of palace is occupied by maharaja saheb.

umaid bhawan palace, where king umaid use to live, now its open to visitors to get the ambience of that era... luxurious palace, vintage cars and many more, a great place to spend your night by staying there as a guest.

Umaid Bhawan palace is one of the most beautiful palace in the world. Mind blowing and i have no words described to the palace.

You may get the feelings of some British king from the collections. I didn't find anything authentic Indian in the museum. No offense!

One of the best palace to visit is Ummaid BhawanPalace ( Chitra Palace) in Jodhpur which is combination of a hotel and meusium. Best place for picnic.

The Umaid bhawan palace is royalty at its best. Once you enter, you are transported to the realms of royalty. The palace is bifurcated into a hotel and a museum.Entry to hotel is restricted to the guests only while musuem has a nominal entry fee. One can see vintage cars of the royal family . The car museum.A must go to place when in Jodhpur.

Umaid Bhawan Palace, located in Jodhpur, India, is one of the world's largest private residences. Also, it s one of the nicest hotels in India. 1/3 museum, 1/3 hotel, and 1/3 private residence for the Maharaja (King) who still lives there.

The entrance was with horns.

Sunsets were grand.

The food and service were phenomenal.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra recently got married here in the large grass area pictured below... they had professional fireworks for over 15 minutes over the city.

Only museum, the most part of the bhawan is taken by Taj hotel so is not allowed to go there, so don't go if you don't have interest in museum

Beautiful place to visit, the hotel palace is beautiful from the inside but on the expensive side otherwise the museum is also worth checking out
