Spectacular resort. The food and staff were amazing

This was a great place to come to. Amazing area to visit, awesome views. The bedroom was huge and had a wrap around belcony. Large bathroom with huge shower and large tub. No complaints.

The Facilities and the golf course is phenomenal, BUT do not go to the boat house bar and grill for drinks. I ordered a Grey Goose and Orange and it was 28 dollars , THAT is frickin ridiculous.

This place has a special place in my heart. My wife and I really enjoyed the resort and would love to be back again as soon as possible. I would say this place is great for couples not really families (they do have family activities) BUT there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. The one drawback I would say, is that they dont have a spa. Which is baffling to me, because what is my wife to do when I hit the golf course? Nevertheless, I still love the place. For group sales contact Debbie Penick, she is great. really helpful and knowledgeable and will put your event together the way you dream it to be.

Such a very bad experience to rent a boat from taboo resort! We went there with our friends and rented a boat , the boat wasn't in a perfect condition , they asked us to pay extra for insurance as well and we accepted! When we returned the boat , they started to find the problem to charge us extra money for no reason!! They kept calling their Colleagues to make a big deal and trying to pretend something happened to under the boat ! They usually hold 3000$ from your visa to find such a similar situation to charge you more money! Just pay attention do not ruin your vacation because of unprofessional customer service !

Fantastic resort and wonderful amenities. Played the golf course once while staying at the resort, though I wish it was several times. Beautiful, private and cut straight out of the Muskoka rock, Taboo was really challenging but also really enjoyable. The conditions were immaculate. The views from the resort were also great.

The facilities are nice and active is good for family. For 450/night, I do expect better quality bedding. Not balled up cover.

Lovely area with great views and plenty of watersports

I had a great time during a team event. A popular place for golfers but I had fun also riding a mountain bike on the trails. Lots to see and do in the area.

Came here for anniversary. Laurie at the front desk was very down to earth, professional and nice. First impression is very important. The lakeview room was beautiful. The fireplace was one of the reasons we chose the place. A larger tub or jet tub could definetly make this place a 5 star. There were lots of hiking trails. The one restaurant open in the winter was descent but expensive. The bonfire was another reason we chose the place and we were disappointed that we couldn't sit down on the soaking wet chairs. Also, we were excited to make maple candy over the fire but apparently the chef was out of maple syrup. Stores and restaurants nearby. We are thinking of bringing the kids here in the summer.

Beautiful rooms and waterfront. Friendly staff. Delicious dinner.

Be aware: it's a smoke and vape free resort. It was relatively dead so my cousins and I took some risks but no one in the party expected it, including those who have been before.

It was post season so I won't be too harsh, but very little was up to expectations. Stains on the carpet, different bed layout than guaranteed

The boathouse restaurant food was excellent but the chef wouldn't make substitutions for a friend's food intolerances, repeatedly meaning she couldn't have anything she actually wanted. The veggie burger and mushroom pasta especially were especially delicious.

I had a torn ACL and meniscus sprain during my visit and found accessibility to be a major issue. I enjoyed myself still, but be aware if you have mobility challenged members in your party they'll be quite limited in what they can easily do. We specifically requested a cabin with easy accessibility and they placed us half way up a steep hill (hard to navigate while injured) and the only other way out was a set of wood stairs ending in sloped slippery rocks stairs. The staircase in the cabin itself also felt abnormally steep with tall steps, and there were steps to get down to the living area -- all in all it wasn't a great weekend for my knee.

I did have a *fantastic* time doing canvas and Cabernet with my party

A gorgeous place with great activities and wonderful facilities. The food and organization could use improvement.

Absolutely great golf course. Great condition and very scenic. It's one of my favorite golf courses in Ontario.

I've stayed at Taboo half a dozen times while we were building the cottage. Such a treat!

Amazing resort, the staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. If I can move and live here I would.

Stayed at the cheapest room they have and it's still very nice. The staff are all very helpful and accommodating. The facilities are well maintained and though it was full, it felt very quiet. The only restaurant is quiet pricey and it's not amazing, but pretty good.

Today s taboo is nothing like what we experienced before. The buildinga are looking tired, amenities are limited, service is bad and the prices are still high. For that price I would much rather stay at the JW Marriott. I want to love taboo again but clearly they re not willing to invest to make it into what it used to be

Beautiful course and the management were incredibly generous in helping the GHS golf team access the practice facility and The Sands course.

Great Experience, but there is no spa and the restaurant is not the best.

Amazing resort, beach is awesome, hotel rooms nice, modern and clean, friendly staff however the Boathouse menu leaves a lot to be desired and can we say over priced , the food was We thought it would be more like a boathouse restaurant with the likes of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads chicken wings etc, the only good thing about the menu is the French fries, so good we paid $31 with tip for 4 orders (each order serves one person) to go, that's about $6 each The Pro Shop food is amazing, especially the wood fired pizza we went back a few times during our stay. If we could make and suggestions/recommendations, change the Boathouse menu to a more lakeside pub and grill vibe!!

Nice place, havnt stayed but in for breakfast and a look around. Looks like a nice place and people were enjouong themselves

Pretty nice room with big shower. Lake view rooms are awesome, with a balcony and lawn chairs that allows you to enjoy the nature outside in the summer. Only down side is the balcony door doesn't have a blackout curtain so all the sunlight will get in in the morning and wake you up, so it's impossible to sleep in. Another note, the checkout time here is at 10am, which is a lot earlier than most hotels. Will probably return if we can get a room with all blackout curtains.

Conditions where great. Staff is friendly. Course is challenging to play

Had a wonderful time, enjoyed the included canoe and bike rentals, the beach and pools. The Boathouse Restaurant got a little boring fast, but there are other nice restaurants in town. Nice recently updated rooms in the hotel. Difficult to spot evidence of fire if you haven't visited before, and was not all noisy or full of construction materials while I was there. (Aug. 12 to Aug. 14, '15).

Had a very friendly, informative and helpful Front Desk Agent. She was fantastic! Took care of all my accommodation requests. Also offered suggestions for the best packages available, as well as connecting me to a local florist. Great service.
