The slopes are alright for intermediate ski/snowboarders. However, we were not made aware that the bunny hill was closed in the evening which we were coming in for. Instead, we ended up bringing our less experienced friends to learn on the intermediate hills. The other more advanced hills are also closed in the evening which is also a bummer.

This is a great place to go with the family or friends if you don't mind skiing the same great few runs as much as you want. There are rarely huge lines, and the conditions have been fantastic for many years

Well laid out hill, chalet is nice but Cafeteria is expensive and quality is not the best. Parking lot is unpaved and all the close spots are reserved. Not a very good drop off spot and no good spots to sit and get boots on/off. All in all it's a fun, friendly place.

I've been going here for years -- they recently changed their name to the Muskoka Ski Club. This club has some great terrain, there's a good variety and something for every stage of skier! You should definitely give this place a try!

I tried to book ski lessons for my daughters. The lady asked for some details, and then put me on hold for 10 min. Some other lady got on the line 10 min later, and did not even apologize for the wait. Asked me to continue to hold as the first lady was STILL helping others. I kindly asked her to see if they could call me back as this was a long distance call. She took down my number unwillingly and hung up. Needless to say, unsurprisingly based on their attitude, they did not call me back. WOW! Terrible customer service. I don't think I will try again. They lost me.

Came here Saturday for night skiing. When we arrived we were informed that 2/3 lifts were not functioning and there status of repair was unknown.
We asked for discounted tickets due to this inconvenience as we had new skiers with us who wanted to learn on the bunny hill which remained closed all night.
Staff informed us no discount would be provided. Seeing as we had driven all the way here, we paid the full price.
Sadly once the sun set, there was ONLY 1 RUN OPEN.
Would not return as the customer service was so poor.

Not a huge mountain but fun! So many ski hills offer the same run ten times but Hidden Valley offers real variety. There are steep and straight, steep and curved, gentle wide, gentle curves, racing, a great terrain park, a fun run with wavy rollers and when there is enough snow a short but challenging glade.

A large part of the chalet is for club members only though leaving us regular people crowded at times. :-(

A fabulous, family friendly ski resort. You never have to worry about where your children are, as all slopes end back at the chalet. Super friendly resort staff. Great food! The Muskoka Ski Club is very social with loads of fun events throughout the year and resides at Hidden Valley. This resort is a hidden gem! A great way to enjoy winter specially during the COVID pandemic. Get out and enjoy the great outdoors.

If you have small children and need rental equipment and lessons, FORGET IT. The layout of this resort is terrible. Chalet is in the middle of the hill not at the bottom near the bunny hill. Parking also terrible. Pricing for small beginners is ridiculous.

Good variety. Beginner thru advanced with snow making. One of everything Blue Mountain has just in a relaxed family friendly atmosphere without the gigantic crowds. Not sure why I overlooked it for years? We will be back again. Need a hotel? Hidden valley resort is across the road..20 feet away. Walk over or just about ski in /out if u can cross the road. Then of course Deerhurst hotel is less than five minutes away if that will seal your deal. Dine at any restaurant including those in Huntsville as they are under 7-10 km away.

Typical Ontario ski hill - 11 trails (only 7 open today) and takes longer to get up on the lift than it does to ski the longest trail.

Super friendly staff and nice facilities. Ticket prices are a bit steep for the offering but very close to Deerhurst Resort so it was perfect for a days outing.

Nice runs and short lines for the lifts. Half the hills were shut down for a wedding at one point and it blocked access to the overflow parking where we were parked. Would have been nice to get a heads up when we bought our tickets.

Layout is not good and instructors aren t on time or focusing on every individual in the lesson equally or paying attention to where they are guiding beginners. They really need to add a water fountain in a shed at the top and bottom of every single hill and have one on every single floor of the chalet. Leaving the poles somewhere far away from the bunny hill really does not make sense and wastes lesson time.

My gang skied here for two days. The experience was excellent for skiers of all skill levels. This isn't Whistler or anything, but it's about as good as it gets in Ontario. Not too busy and rental equipment was all decent. Food options could have been less cafeteria and more restaurant, but we weren't there for the fine dining

Had a fun time but there are some downsides for new skiiers. The bunny hill wasnt a step on conveyer belt - you had to grab and hold onto a wrench, it really killed my wrists. Also the lodge was up a small hill that was very difficult to walk up in ski boots - really hurt my shins. They did have a good progression of hill difficulty.

We typically have fun going to HV but the manageme...

We typically have fun going to HV but the management do not appear to have a grasp on the fundamentals of customer service and explaining what you get when you pay several hundred dollars for something. I had a legitimate complaint about ski passes (with no disclosure about validity dates or black out dates) my entire family purchased and the GM would not listen to reason. Rather saying they dont list all the fine print on marketing materials. Of course you dont, but you inform the customer of important stuff like times/dates for which the pass is valid. Nothing was ever explained either verbally or in writing (including the markering flyers - we actually took a picture of the flyer). Furthermore, the physical pass ITSELF doesnt have validity dates or exclusion dates.

So instead of making a reasonable effort to improve the business and make it a better experience for the business and its customers, the manager decides to dig his heels in and defend a business practice that just makes no sense. When this issue arises again, I hope my interaction with him actually encourages HV to improve its busineaa practices. Clearly, he nor his staff will not actually admit they made a mistake or if they could have done things better (both before and after).

What a terrible, regrettable customer service experience.

No complainant about staff, they were great and friendly! I rented a board, and they have some great new equipment! The hill was ok - when I went, there were only 2 runs open, even though they could have had an extra run open given the snow. Food in fairly typical, but I would have liked to see more healthy options; skiers are more health-care I, so the lack of healthy food isn't great.

Getting to Hidden Valley itself had poor signage when coming from Highway 11 North. Ended up at the hotel and got directions I needed to continue driving around the hill till nearly reaching highway 60.
When I arrived at Hidden valley, I was met by an employee stating she hadn't received any information which I had emailed and told I need to hurry as my lesson starts soon. Could have been done better ( both her reading the email and her tone).
I met another employee who was much more helpful. Had my first lesson which consisted of pizza and French fries. There are good hills and lifts so I think it is a good place to go to. The day I went the snow was crystalline so not ideal for beginners.
Things that could be improved: better signs, chalet is a bit of a trek from the bunny hill, no separation of skill level age and size on the bunny hill (e.g. adult beginner coming down a hill, whilst the onus is on him to stop ; if there is a collision with a much smaller person... Not ideal). With the last point it really comes down to space. It was a little crowded. Could have other instructors keeping an eye on things. Maybe someone at the top of the hill.

Great little ski resort near town. The food available is a pretty good selection of drinks and freshly cooked meals at the clubhouse area. We've been doing the bunny hill kids lessons and the instructors were really great with 3-year olds.

Went on a really good night! On Thursdays it's only just over $20, and it wasn't really packed or busy so we were able to ski quite a bit. The staff are friendly, and I enjoyed skiing on the various types of hills they had.

I took my fiance here *twice* over the holidays. W...

I took my fiance here *twice* over the holidays. When buying tickets I specifically mentioned that we would only be using the bunny hill (she's still learning). We both bought lift tickets just to keep that option available to us in case she felt more comfortable as the day went on, but we made it abundantly clear *both times* that we were primarily there for the beginner slope.

The first time, the passes were sold to us at 4:15 PM despite the fact that the bunny hill closes at 4:30. We were never told that the bunny hill was not open during the evening ski hours, and again - we specifically mentioned that we were primarily here for that hill. Since my fiance didn't yet feel comfortable going on the lift, we ultimately chose to leave and try again the next day.

The second time, the passes were sold to us again, despite the fact that there was a snow camp going on at the bunny hill with lines upwards of 25 children and a junior obstacle course for their class that obstructed the whole hill.

The hill was essentially unusable for anyone that wasn't part of the snow camp. That's fine, of course. But my question is - why were these passes sold to us? Twice we specified our particular needs. Both times we were enthusiastically sold passes upwards of 50 dollars each. And yet there were essentially no hills that fit my fiance's skill level.

The first time this happened, I let it go. The person working the guest services desk was a teenager so I just chalked it up to inexperience. The second time it was an older woman who should've known better. My fiance was angry and attempted to get a refund before leaving (less than an hour after our arrival) and was pretty rudely turned away.

To make matters worse (and I know I'm rambling), during our second visit, we witnessed a young boy break his wrist going down a hill that was beyond his skill level. The kid sat there for a good 5 minutes calling for help, then awkwardly attempted to return to the chalet before collapsing. No one came to his aid until we realized how serious the situation was and went to find a medic inside. I get that skiing is a dangerous activity, but if you're not going to screen for skill level in younger visitors, at least have a supervisor watching out for injuries. Not to mention the walk up to the chalet (and the only way to get to the beginner slopes) is directly in the path of two intermediate hills.

The folks live in Huntsville, making this the most convenient ski spot in our area, but we definitely won't be coming back. The trek down to Barrie or out to Haliburton is worth it.

I had a blast at Hidden Valley. The staff were very kind and courteous. They have a variety of green, blue and black hills for you to ski on. The great thing when we were there, the day was gorgeous and it wasn t too crowded. Which meant short lines for the lifts.

The next time I m in Huntsville, I ll be sure to check them out. The place can be a little tricky to find, so just have a little patience if you re going there for the first time.

A great combination of terrible instructors, small hill and an awkward layout which makes it a perfect location to waste your day. Highly recommend it if you have nowhere else to go. Quick tip: go to Blue Mountain instead

Wonderful little place to ski. Just check to make sure all lifts are running since each one services about 1/3 of the total runs...so if a lift is closed then it's not worth the price of the life ticket.

Disappointed with COVID based practices. No staff ensuring masks are being worn in lines. I had to ask many people to put masks on. Lift operator not wearing masks properly. Talked to GM who was very kind. Part of the problem is that they are low staffed with lift operators staying at home collecting CERB.

Worst service I got. No room cleaning ( stayed for 3 days). Extra charge from credit card (817$extra, and nobody could help to fix their mistake) . I booked a boat rental and could not pick it up because it of the hotel extra charge my credit card. But nice territory anyway)

A nice family-oriented ski area with friendly and helpful staff. The kids (5 and 9) are really enjoying their ski camps thanks to the enthusiastic and supportive instructors. The Canadian Ski Patrol unit is also very helpful and involved as well.
