This hotel knows how to look after its guests. We were woke up at 2am by International party people, we had babies at the time. Their door was open and they were having a wild time. In no time the hotel dealt with the happy people very professionally and without hesitation moved us to a luxury suite for having such a difficult night, which was out of their control anyway. We were very impressed and felt very well treated. The rooms are spectacular, the food and service is state of the art and you definitely feel treated once you've left. We've been again since that time and we always feel the same. A high level of quality service.

Reception staff dumb,we already paid to the travel agency who has booked the hotel for us for 2 days, they allowed us to check out and started calling hours later, to make the payment which was not done by travel agency, inspite of the assurance by the travel agency to pay, threatened us that they will go to the police.dumbo, irritating, spoiled our holidays for no mistake of ours.

Stunning regal style hotel in a perfect location. There is always a beautiful pianist in the lounge while you relax in big comfy chairs. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I ve seen and the staff are attentive and delightful. Rooms are lovely, very spacious and comfy beds. Only thing I would say is the wifi is super slow - almost unusable sometimes, and the carpet is a bit dated. But overall I would def come back!

The best hotel stay there almost every year during December holidays. Best place to be if you want to go shopping and venture out to Robyn island and other tours. Walk distance from everything even the aquarium

The hotel fits into the night view of the waterfront. The rooms were also excellent and the staff was friendly. Because it is old money hotel, bathroom capital was slightly inconvenient, but it is accepted as romance. Breakfast was excellent and concierge service was the best.

I have been to 5 star hotels and I would not call Table Bay a 5 star hotel. When we arrived at the reception the receptionist was unfriendly and showed no interest at all. They seem to lack knowledge of what was going on in the hotel. We got into our room, nothing jumped out to me and said, "you are now in a 5 star hotel".The were traces of dust that looked like they have been there forever. The following day,our room was apparently cleaned but the dust from yesterday was still there. Pieces of paper and tissue that we left before we went out were still there when we came back. I was thoroughly disappointed. The rates that you charge do not match up to the kind of service and experience we had. Immediately after I left Cape Town I went to a self catering hotel and the standards there were better than what we experienced at the Table Bay hotel. On the 16th of July is my birthday and I was considering spending it at the Table bay hotel, but after this experience I do not think that is going to happen.

highly disappointed

@tablebayhotelsa is simply BRILL! The #afternoontea is a TOTES delight...couldn't believe the #pastries and #cakes and #sandwiches and #macarons...and that's just ONE of 3 courses! But the best part for me was, despite the super elegant surroundings, the #crew so SUPER #friendly/#fun/#helpful whilst still being vv attentive...DEF @jamescapetown FAVE!

Lavish experience and V&A is right there, a 2 min walk away. The spa was phenomenal too. If you are lucky, you'll get a room with great views of the Table Mountain too. There was a pianist playing beautiful music at breakfast, creating such a beautiful vibe. Lovely place, thoroughly enjoyed it. The stay was paid for by work, so can't comment on prices.

Went to the lounge Afternoon Tea for my bday, the only words that come to mind are - Decadence, delightful, Bliss. If you're a tea lover, the loose leaf Tea Selection is top class. Complement that with an array of treats (in moderation of course ;-) ) and you're left feeling more than content. Service is the best compared to most of the popular afternoon teas in Cape Town, and as a muslim, no alcohol nor unhalaal gelatine products were used. Will go back as long as this level of service is maintained.
