So i went and my first impression was wow i was surprised to see that it had a connection to a mall. Also in one of the shops of the mall (addidas stan smith) had yeezy and pharrel's. We got a tour of the hotel after check in and some goodies in the room very nice staff and please try rooibos tea it is a south african tea. They are in a droubt so don't be surprised to see save the water signs. The bathrooms were very clean

We had the buffet breakfast which is a grand affair complete with live piano music. A wonderful selection of breakfast items including sushi! Staff are friendly and helpful but service was a bit slow at times. They have high chairs for little ones too.

The place is very luxurious and the staff are treated wonderfully .. and its location overlooks the market, I would recommend buying because the prices are reasonable compared to other places.
Note Despite the luxury of not all 5-star room accessories, a bathrobe, personal care tools such as nice shaving tools, stitching and shoe cleanliness.

Unfortunately I didn't stay in the Hotel, I only attended a function there. What I did experience thou, is that the Hotel is very opulent in design and decor and the service from staff is prompt and friendly. An unfriendly surprise I did encounter, was the R100.00 parking fee that is expected on entry if you aren't a paying guest of the Hotel. However in saying that I later discovered that If you are there for a function, then you can get your ticket validated at reception and can void the charge for the parking. So in the end it wasn't a problem. It is a beautiful Hotel and I can see why it is regarded as such an aspirational place to stay. It is with no doubt the diamond in the crown of the V&A Waterfront.

You have a view over the V&A waterfront and Table mountain so it can only be awesome. The vibe in the water front is really special your best time spend here is just to stroll around and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. The Springbok experience is also a short walk away. The Cape Wheel will cost you R130/ adult. But its much more fun to look at the seals playing in the harbour.

My best friend and I went for high tea here. Absolutely amazing ambiance. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We chose the three course high tea which was nothing short of amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and go back myself!

The best place in Cape Town for afternoon tea with an incredible variety of mouthwatering cakes, and also for sundowners overlooking table mountain and the bustling harbor.
Definitely five star but very reasonable prices for their very high standard of service.

Enjoyable stay with the best location for V&A Waterfront. A couple of issues not expected at a 5* hotel though. Credit to guest relations for trying to rectify what they could and for providing a note of apology and some snacks as a gesture. Some of the issues:
- very dated room decor
- shower not cleaned properly, mould in the grouting
- smelly towels
- No complimentary anything on arrival at the room not even a welcome note (guest relations did send a bottle of wine when I brought it to their attention a day later)
- Really fantastic breakfasts but mixed service levels, sometimes great but wife had to ask 3 times for her omelette before waiter woke up that it was delivered to wrong table.
- friends in another room were woken by hotel staff at 1 am asking if they were all right ???
- staff talking pretty loudly in the corridors.
Did we enjoy our stay? yes definitely.
Would I return for another stay? No am not willing to pay 5 star prices for a 4 star room.

Really nice hotel by the V&A. Has direct mall access. Rooms are bit a old but well maintained so you don t notice the age. WiFi is not the best. Service is generally good and most staff will go the extra mile for you. Breakfast has quite a wide array of options however they do not change the buffet which makes it quite boring if you staying for a while.

Beautiful hotel right on the water's edge. Connected to the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront shopping mall. Service is exceptional. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Bar adjacent to the reception area very welcoming. Several restaurant options to choose from for every taste and requirement. Otherwise enjoy high tea in the lounge or a glass of wine outside on the terrace overlooking the working harbour of Cape Town.

A delightfully elegant hotel to enjoy a lovely lunch, coffee, cocktails & High Tea. The location is fabulous too, but find the staff not warm to local visitors, but rather more attentive to the guests of the hotel. I really do enjoy the beautiful property & will be back. Do not forget the regulars who also support the property , albeit during the year.

Last night I had coffee and cake at the hotel, when I arrived I did not see the waitress, nor was there a sign to wait to be seated, neither did she acknowledge me, that was not the problem, my friends and I then proceeded to sit by the fire place, the waitress then came to me and told me, 'you just came to sit, what if the area was reserved', I was stunned at her response. The area was not reserved and stayed for coffee and the whole evening I was left with a bitter taste, was I been judged because of my youth, the scarves my wife was wearing, did the waitress question that we couldn't afford to pay, so she could address us the in anyway she wanted.

One of the best located hotels on the Capa Town Water Front. Main entrance opens onto the marina and another entrance and exit give direct access to the large shopping center. Nice lobby and perfectly extensive buffet dinner tomorrow. Rooms are spacious with nice view of the harbor.

Table Bay has the best views. It is in the port, with night lights, cute Christmas trees and Ferris wheel! Service, room and decor are too good to describe! We stayed for two nights and said that we are not willing to change places.

The best hotel in Cape town we have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and this on beats some hotels in London and new York so you should be proud of that. they have an eye for service. There breakfast was amazing the buffet was well stocked. Thank you for the best experience I have had in south Africa.

Nice and spacious with a very nice view of both table mountain and the ocean in front of Cape Town. However, rooms in the lower floors are nothing special and have zero view. Highlights: breakfast (the best of any hotel I've ever seen!) and the spa!

My family and I stayed here over Christmas week. The hotel is grand and was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Our stay here was very comfortable. The location is also very convenient as it is connected to the Victoria Waterfront and mall.
The included breakfast buffets were absolutely decadent. The quality and variety was top notch - we did not go off to any of our daily activities hungry!
