The food was good but the service poor. Ordered four drinks and only received one. In the end there was too much liquor on the bill. Staff solution: We only had to pay for the food. The remainder was deducted.

Friendly and efficient staff. We had a fine table where we had a nice dinner with our kids (8, 6 and 3). We did not have to wait long which is nice when you are with young children. The burgers were nice.

Wonderful place to have a drink. Fine music loudness to still have a conversation. The atmosphere is really homely and cozy. I have had a good time there. Highly recommended!

Some places remain good because they never change. The old Pothuys is a great example of this!

Very nice location for a snack, drink and live music! Located underground, which makes it a great location and has a nice atmosphere. The satay and tournedos are very tasty and have very tender meat. The dips with the bread are also delicious. Staff super friendly and spontaneous. In addition, live music every day! Top! Really recommended

Very bad, ordered on Valentine's Day via Deliveroo. A very dry skewer of satay, a bowl of sand is even smoother, my 10-year-old nephew can prepare the pork tenderloin even better. FOLLOW this cook..salad was tasteless, but topped off with some dressing and nuts. Not enough satay sauce, and also mayo (if you add such a mountain of fries, make the portion smaller and cheaper). And I haven't had my drink for that, 7-up. For a few euros more you have delicious spareribs or sushi, with a big bow around it (if the satay is bad, then the rest will probably not be eatable at all) .The only nice ones were the fries, hence one star. This has been written off.

Very cozy, both in the morning for a cup of coffee and in the evening delicious food, both meat and fish perfectly soft. The decoration relates to the menu in old blues / rock LP covers, very nicely designed. Recommended

I haven't eaten here nor visited at the weekend, but for live music and a nice drink it is, hard to beat. Each visit to Utrecht has resulted in a midweek trip to here. That's more times than I have fingers and would definitely give the place the thumbs up. The only downside would be access as the stairs are a little wild. But once negotiated and downstairs the setting and the vibe are relaxed and positive. Utrecht at its best.

It was a nice place to visit. The first band i saw here was very good and it was very crowded what makes the place too tight, but nevertheless it had atmosfere. The second band a few months later was good and it was less crowded but the atmosfere was not so good. So it depends on the band. Ah and don't forget to order some snacks available here are because they are very delicious. And the selection of different beers is also a very nice thing to know.

Just try it out and tell me if you agree, then probably if your opinion is good enough i will feel triggered to go again and adjust my rating :-)

Ideal if you are looking for quality time: in many places you do not have internet with your mobile. Tasty beers on tap and a few in the bottle. After 23:00 there is usually live music, but this can also start earlier. Definitely recommended!

My partner and I just love this place. It's one of the places we go to the most. The food (especially the cheese fondues) is amazing, the atmosphere is very cool and there's often very nice live music.

What a lousy service, I made a reservation but there was no place for us at all. The boss / bartender was incredibly blunt, we were fifteen minutes earlier than we booked, and he said, as if I am retarded, that this was not possible. Then we were put outside on the terrace in a corner, where we were then ignored by the wait staff. After this we walked back to the bar and asked if there was really no place for us inside, but no there was not. Then we immediately left for a cozier restaurant.

Probably the worst experience I had in Utrecht. Really loved this place but their staff becomes worse and worse each time I visit. Last time the location was EMPTY, just 1 table was taken but the rest off the tables were dirty and had glasses/plates on them (wouldn't be a problem, maybe the staff did not had enough time to clean them I thought, but they just left the empty glasses on my table and didn't even tried to take them until they brought our drinks). The waiter comes and asks what we would like to have, when I asked her for the drinks menu, she throw me a mad look, like I asked for something out of ordinary.
To conclude, will never come again. The staff really needs to be changed or a little bit trained.

Very nice music and atmosphere...
But don't eat there! At least dont ask for a well done burger. You'll get a black carbonized burger, of those that increase your cancer risk. And if you mention the issue, they'll politely say: that's what you asked for! "You asked for a well done burger, didn't you?"
For the rest, a very nice place!
