Just always surprised by the quality of food and drinks. Bar tenders are great. And not to forget the music.. Everyday something different!

Someone attacks me on the dance floor on a Friday night, I calmly respond to this and tell him to stop. Before I know it, two security guards 'come in' and grab me. I answer in the negative, which is interpreted as a confession of guilt.

My jacket, shirt and arms are grabbed, taking care that my arms are above the bottleneck behind the back. Only good thing is that the security does listen to my comment that they should not pull my arms out of the bowl.

Once outside, the best man, head of security or whatever, still has ten seconds to listen to a rebuttal. My objections, in which I indicate that I really did nothing, fall on deaf ears.

I had a good time here listening to the band, but as soon as I had any interaction with the actual staff my evening was soon ruined.

What a shit tent.

Cool interior and canal terrace, good food. Service is pretty slow though.

We thought it was funny, but later we thought that this is really not possible ... The waiter said "And whose is this?" when he arrived with the plates. "Oh sorry, it's my first day". Furthermore, fine.

Nice pub with several beers on draught. And sometimes a nice live act.

Service worthless guests, food very poor. Incomprehensible that it was busy. Also stuffy and warm. Very noisy. What a terrible bad cabin.

I like this place a lot, one of my favourite spots in town. Two days per week live music. It's also a romantic venue, if you manage to reserve on a less crowded day. Tables on the waterfront and inside. Great beer selection too.

Great atmosphere, beers and service. Boy with long hair helped me, knew everything about the beers and food. Chapeau.

Groovy atmosphere. There was live music the night we were there which was cool. The only thing was the first night we went there, there was no space for us and the waiter was a bit abrupt with us. However the next night, all the staff were friendly so no complaints.

Tapas Dish was dramatic, had nothing to do with tapas, 5 olives, shreds of cheese etc, etc ,. Paper-thin potato slices burnt at the main dish. Downright sad, food was always good, service was OK, other kitchen staff works wonders!

Incredibly cool and fun place to sit. The wharf cellar is very attractive and nicely decorated. There is live music daily which makes it very pleasant. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. When ordering a basket of bread you get a lot of bread and dip which is very tasty. And the trournedos is also highly recommended. Lots of vegetables and the meat was very tender. It is nice to know that the meat served comes from a local farm.

A popular student bar that often has live music. It's a small place so it gets loud and crowded very quickly.

Love the decor, you definitely feel like you're under the bridge with low ceilings and exposed bricks. I had dinner here once, it was fine, nothing worth mentioning. I have however enjoyed all of my live music experience here. It's is not for dancing, but great for a nice chilled evening!

Very old building, terrace on the water. Staff could be nicer (moany that I would have to move if others came .... Eh, I also want to sit by water. Was by chance alone)

Amazing place, but the lack of proper ventilation makes it very hot and sweaty in here. They make up for most of that with live Funk and Jazz bands though, so there's that!

Eaten two delicious stews tonight. Brussels sprouts and sauerkraut. Are already curious about the pumpkin. The dessert was also delicious. Thank you!

For those who don't know. 't Oude Pothuys is beautifully situated on the Oude Gracht and is ideal for combining getting a nice snack with a nice walk!

Live music every night, from jazzy jam sessions to up-and coming musicians. Also a decent choice of food at very decent prices.

Good live music everynight but took a very long time to receive my snacks i ordered as my friends finished 2 rounds of drinks before i got them and had to remind the staff if my order. Also good beer and nice atmosphere

It is what one would expect. A good place to go for coffee with personal who knows how to prepare a descent cappuccino etc.

How wonderful to be here! In any case, because my father performed here very often with his Jazz band. We ate cheese fondue here, the fries are very tasty too. The tiramisu was a little less. It's really cool that you can enjoy all the performances here, free of charge! The space on the ground floor, the beautiful curves and upstairs on the terrace on the canal are really a must see!

One downside, the performance of the Willem van Abelen Quartet yesterday was announced on the internet in the agenda as well as on the posters at 22.30. We know 1 of the band members and wanted to see this. Thinking to be on time it turned out to have started at 9.30 pm. Missed over an hour, they were about to stop.

This is a great place for a first date! It is never too crowded during concerts and always empty in other occasions, giving you the intimacy you need to know each other better! Great beer selection and staff, the place is also an old basement, very cozy and interesting! The jams are always a yes!

So cozy on the canal, nice place, good menu, tasty vegan dishes affordable! Fantastic service !! And on Mondays you can order cheese fondue Do !!

Ambiance is fun, and if you go for the music, you're going to put down those five stars. If you want to eat there, the experiences can vary - maybe because the layout inevitably lacks control, maybe because there is too little of it - but well, can just be that you are suddenly completely forgotten - if things take too long, so don't be shy here to get up and gently tap someone on the shoulder.

Three visits. Operation was slow the first and second times. Walked to the bar myself for an order and to pay. The third and last time we waited 20 minutes. Person who said she was not coming. Unfortunately left without an order and will not come back.

Good music, but if you want to sit,. Its NOT the place you want to be at, listening to live music.

Cozy venue. Monday cheese fondue night is good value for money and very tasty! 13.50 per person for fondue and 13.50 for a bottle of house wine - also very reasonable quality. Will come back

What a brilliant experience! Came to 't Oude Pothuys on a Wednesday evening, and was serendipitously treated to an Open Mic Night of Jazz! Outstanding vibe, good food and a decent drink menu make this establishment a WINNER in my book.

Nice food and good beer. Especially the beer tasting is very nice

Service had to wait a bit, but then it flopped. Very relaxed location, where you can linger for a few hours with a cold drink or two.

Great ambience, great food, great servers. I'd go here again!
