I met him yesterday and I loved it.
I went back to the kitchen of my mother and my grandmother from Rioja. Real homemade food, with very good raw material and excellent, very close attention.
Very..very recommended !!!

Oh, Sylkar ... of your incredible tortillas you lived and your clients well you wanted them. Now, your fame only remains, on Espronceda Street. Your dishes are not what they used to be and your tortillas lost their solera. You allow yourself to still charge dearly and two stars I give you, even if it seems to me an impudence.

The tortilla is famous, although personally I do not see it for so much (typical very liquid tortilla without curdling). Although the bar is fine and has good atmosphere with very friendly waiters. On the ground floor it is quite narrow if you are a group of more than four people.

It deserves the fame it has, they are lovely. The tortilla is indeed one of the best, if not the best that can be taken in a bar, but the torrijas stand out even more, they are INCREDIBLE, if you are going to ask for them, they have them all year round. The menu is very well priced and in general everything is quite good.

Spectacular as always, the tortilla speaks for itself, all the dishes are super rich, the French toast and the rice pudding make sense, to go frequently, whether to have some tapas or lunch / dinner. Super attentive service.

We entered by chance and we loved it, not because of the place itself, but because of the waitress who attended us. I thought it was the best, charming, pleasant ... that you are going to have a beer and follow the waitress. Grief do not ask on behalf.

A classic. It gets very crowded so it's better to go early. The potato omelet, undercooked, is the specialty of the house and is what it is known for. However, the calluses are the best that can be taken. There is also a fish of the day that is usually good and has a good price.
Total: place to go again and again.

March 2017:
One of the most famous potato tortillas in Madrid and the truth is that it is really good. Worth the visit just for taking a skewer and a cane.

I also tried the corns and they are really good. Traditional and forceful recipe. With half a serving for two people you are well served.
Excellent gizzards and salad.

Of those places that you have near home and you don't know without knowing what you are missing. Someone has to come to surprise you and show you, if not the best, one of the best tortillas I've had in the city of Madrid. Just to try it is worth going. In fact I not only tried the first time I went, but I repeated tortilla skewer and double beer (I remember the price was not very modest, at least for double beers).

Great bar in the area, classic in portions and decoration. We were eating a group of friends and asked for portions to share. Positive I will say that everything we ate was very well cooked, very rich and with high quality ingredients. The waitress who attended us did a great job, was kind and was watching all the food from us, even though it was full. We ordered an omelet (it was large but 20.90 seems a bit excessive price), some croquettes (cheese with almonds, at 1.45 each we had a ration (2 u./person) for another 20), fried chickpeas with egg (original and cheap, 7.90), gizzards (grilled lamb, a normal ration for 19.90), fried anchovies (tiny although very fried, 9.90), a ration of calluses (a soup plate, already overflowing, but 18.90 ?? ? too). For dessert we ordered the famous French toast, which have that well-deserved reputation, they are big and very juicy inside and out. They cost 4.90 each but it is a sadly usual price for a dessert. In total with drinks and coffees we paid about 30 per head, everything was very good but in another bar similar rations (I am thinking of the Blanco de Latina for example) we would have left in half.
