During lockdown it s been a pain to get anything ordered in a timely manner. I needed some guitar strings and I gave sweetwater a shot since my local shop is closed. To my surprise the strings arrived two days later! Not to mention there was some candy in there as well. Now I m shredding tasty licks like a champ thanks to Sweetwater. Definitely using them for future purchases.

I've never bought a guitar from Sweetwater, but I have bought picks, cords, pedals, etc. The reviews that talk about "amazing facilities" don't mention want makes them amazing. Besides a large sales area, there is a concert hall, free video games, a cafe/food court, and what I think is a used gear store. (I had my two year old with me and didn't go in that area) and I think there are classrooms. That's all on the main floor. Upstairs there is a guitar repair shop, windows so you can seen the warehouse, racquetball courts, a small exercise room, and it looks like a salon is coming. When you are done looking around you can take the slide back down to the main floor.

What can you say about Sweetwater? Going there is an experience. It's nice to go into a store like this and the staff know what they are talking about. If they are unsure about something, they call up someone who does know. I haven't had one bad experience in any of my visits.

While I've been playing for years, I recently signed up at the Sweetwater Academy to get help wrapping my head around jazz. The Academy is just as stellar as the store.

Sweetwater has, hands down, the best selections of gear, and the best customer service of any music company I've worked with. When a demo guitar I ordered had a pickup that died, they sent me a brand new guitar to replace it. Chris, my sales engineer, is very easy to reach and talk to. I've been a customer for four years, and I plan on doing business with them anytime I need anything.

Sweetwater is an incredible music store and more. This place is like heaven for music lovers, so many different instruments and interesting musical history things to see. It's not just a music store it's more of a musical experience. Incredible deals to be had, friendly, expert people that go out of there way to make your experience the best I can imagine you can have. Colton helped me make my sons Christmas the best yet. I can recommend Sweetwater emphatically. You could spend hours at this store, especially because they have a cafeteria and coffee shop and so much more. We will be visiting again very soon. To Sweetwater and the entire staff.. keep up the awesome job!

This store is more than a store. This is an amazing caring company that truly understands what it means to put their customers first. We made a couple purchases for our kids for Christmas and one of them was from the used gear department. While it was an amazing price there were a couple issues with the item. We took it back today and the process was amazingly easy. They were more than accommodating and made it simple to get a refund. The customer service was super friendly and they were genuinely sorry that we had an issue. Later in the evening we get a call telling us that they were truly sorry the gift didnt work out and that they were crediting us an additional $50 for our troubles. We will never shop anywhere else for all our music needs. Thank you sweetwater for restoring our faith in businesses. And saving Christmas.

Great customer service, listings, quality control process and packaging. The only downside is you will have to wait a bit if your item is out of stock. But no worries your item will arrive eventually.

Extraordinary, personal, kind, rapid, thoughtful service. I accidentally dropped and broke my uncle's Fender tuner immediately upon arriving at his house in florida. I feel so lucky to have discovered this phenomenal company to help me resolve this. From the price, to the caring sales representatives, to the package of candy included in the shipment, Sweetwater is a world class organization. I'll never again shop elsewhere. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Wow what an absolutely amazing place to purchase equipment. Brian Leavell is absolutely amazing. I purchase an American Telecaster a few weeks ago, and just purchased a EHX Octavix pedal last night. Both purchases were smooth, Brian responds extremely quickly thru email.

He even email me today to let me know even tho he is at home he is still available via Phone, Email or Text.

I recommend anyone looking to purchase equipment get it from Sweetwater you won't regret it.

Sweetwater is one of the best music stores that I know of in my area. The fact that such a "small town" as Fort Wayne and its neighboring towns have access to such a high caliber music is, in my mind, completely awesome!
What makes it so great? I'd definitely have to say the employees. I have never met, seen, or heard of a grumpy, flustered, or angry employee in my entire time since I "discovered" Sweetwater. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to music, instruments, and all of the accessories. If, by chance, you get an employee who doesn't know what you are talking about, then they go out of their way to find you someone who will know exactly what you're looking for.
What about the instruments? Their rock and roll instrument selection is extremely wide and very cool to go through. I love the fact that they have three different rooms in which to try out the acoustic, electric, and bass guitars instead of placing them all in the same room. Their piano selection is wonderful and the prices are very competitive with what is "out there". I have also enjoyed the selection of percussion instruments, everything from maracas to tambourines!

Really cool facility. Lots of awesome amps and guitars to try. I was happy to see many lefty guitar options. They also have items in the warehouse they will retrieve. Huge selection of guitar pedals. Sales people were really friendly.

Facility also has a recording studio, a cafeteria, pianos and other music equipment. Also check out the gear exchange area. Stop by if you are in the area.

Top notch, friendly service. We were able to play any instrument we're wanted. They brought an instrument out from the warehouse for us to try. The staff is very knowledgeable. Our visit was at lunch time. The food was very good. There was live music being played at the Crescendo Stage. An awesome day!

Sweetwater has absolutely amazing and personalized customer service! From the time I first placed my order, one of the reps left me a voicemail saying that the order was on its way and asking if I needed anything else.

Also, the desk I bought got damaged while putting it together (granted the instructions were pretty confusing), but they are now sending me a brand new desk at no charge!

I wish I could make a great review of this place. ...

I wish I could make a great review of this place. But I can't. My husband loves Sweetwater. Orders thousands and thousands of dollars of products from them. Even got his son in law into buying from them. But not anymore. We came all the way to fort Wayne from missoula, montana. Yes that is a long way!! He has been waiting for about two years to actually go in the store. One can only imagine how disappointed someone who came that far would feel if they had to walk out with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. We are not unreasonable people by any means. We understand that stuff happens beyond the control of the employees of a company. The stores computer system that allows them to tell the warehouse to bring in products not in the store space was down. Understanding and nice enough to understand that's not their fault, we waited for two hours for the system to come back on. It didn't. And that's fine not their fault. But what we do have a problem with is lazy, too good for you employees. So in the two hours we were there ill tell you what didnt happen: not one of the 10 or so employees in the store space offered to walk to the warehouse with the product numbers and have the products brought in. Too far to walk? Its connected to the building..maybe for some yes, but not to us. But maybe they get paid too well so they don't want to go the extra mile to get a sale. Does that seem unfair? Maybe. But also not one of the employees bothered to pick up their cell phone or god forbid a land line and call the warehouse with the product numbers to get the products brought in the store. For two hours no one decided it was worth their time to pick up the phone to make the sale. Is that unfair to expect them do? I don't think so. To expect the employees to do whatever they can to make a sale? I dont think that is too much to ask personally. They had the product number. I know that because we had to look a product up on the employee computer which was working fine. My husband was prepared to buy guitar picks, Sweetwater t-shirt, 2 guitar straps, an EVH wah wah pedal and an EVH guitar. All were in the warehouse. So a sale of a little over $1400 was left waiting for 2 whole hours. My husband was planning on buying a complete PA system in a couple months. But I think we will shop elsewhere since its an in person purchase and the employees so obviously don't want or need our sale since not one employee seemed to have the need to do anything other then make the excuse that the system was down. It was unfair to us to come all the way from montana to Indiana and get treated like our purchase couldn't matter less. Honestly watching the employees stand around and talk to each other while we waited knowing they were getting paid for not doing anything, not helping, not talking to customers, did not make me happy because my husband was taking off work not getting paid to be there and be treated like crud. The employees treated my husband like he just climbed out of a sewer. Good thing sweetwater gets big band/musicians to come buy from them and people buy online. Because if their business depended on small town musicians coming in the store, they wouldn't make it with those employees. Needless to say after being treated like we were trash and having no one attempt to get my husband his gear to purchase, I promise we will not be back into that store. And I'm thinking about banning Sweetwater purchases all together even online. Because I am that level of mad. We thought it was going to be cool and fun. But it was stuffy and full of employees that dont need to sell anything apparently. Save your travel time and dont come here. You'll be HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!

The online store is amazing. Good prices, helpful staff, and great interface. The actual store is even better, you have the opportunity to try any instrument and get face to face support with a knowledgable mucisian/salesperson.
