Sweetwater Sound Review

Probably my most favorite place on the planet (outside my own home). I have never personally had a bad experience with them, either in person or through their website. Sweetwater is more than just a music store, they offer tech help, music lessons, recording studio facilities, and more. And if you have to wait, they have a cafe as well as games (pinball, pool, video games, etc.) to help pass the time.

I will always buy gear from them. It s the best prices on the internet but what really sells me on them is their unmatched and amazing customer service!!

Great place to visit and shop! Get lunch at their cafeteria and relax for a minute.

This facility is epic! First time here for GearFest, and it was unforgettable!

Very friendly, enthusiastic staff. I'll go back even though it is 90 miles for us.

Everytime I got something from here the staff has been there to answer all of my questions and make buying my first guitar and multieffects processor easier than eating candy. DEFINITELY the only store I'll keep coming to

i have never, ever, ever dealt with a company that offered such amazing customer service. I had never heard of sweeteater until I purchased a HD for my computer from them recently. Before my product even arrived to me I had already received a call from a representative to make sure I found everything I need. Shortly after my purchase arrived they followed up to make sure everything turned out alright with my purchase and to see if I had any questions they can help with. Only to be followed up by emails. Point is, I've never experienced such amazing customer service. I highly recommend this place. These guys are fantastic.

Love this place. Can I get a job here?? Very well staffed with numerous, knowledgeable folks. Love walking around thru the building to see the fun stuff. Don't miss the indoor corkscrew slide for grown ups! The warehouse overlook is not to be missed. Lots of fun other surprises that I won't ruin here. Bonus: the dining area carries diet Dr Pepper

If you are new to the Fort you will hear a lot about Sweetwater. We met Lance who was an amazing employee with the Indiana kindness that made this experience so fun. Oh, and the selection was gigantic and fun to play. Thank you for a great experience

As always, exceptional service, amazing staff, personal experience. I really can't express how grateful I am to the Sweetwater company for their professional service in the music industry. Whether you are buying guitar strings or DJ equipment they treat you with dignity and help you get what you need.

You can easily spend hours in the store looking at the cool equipment and dreaming about what you could do with it, or simply make it an in and out trip, grab what you need and go.

The store is really organized and everything is laid out well and easy to find. There is always plenty of staff on hand to direct you if you need to find something quickly. Looking forward to my next transaction.

I visited this facility just to try out the Roland RD-2000 (and to take a vacation from work!) and it is an amazing place. The staff is immensely knowledgeable about anything and everything you can think of concerning music, audio, and gear. We got a thorough, detailed tour of the entire facility. They also didn't shut me up even though I was trying every single upright and grand piano that they had! Great place to be at!

Tons of top quality equipment and the customer service is 5 star!

I have to say as a first time customer I was literally blown away at the level of customer service provided. My son ordered off the website and yet we received two phone calls from an actual person first asking if we had received or order on time, then a few days later asking if everything was working well. In this digital age we sadly have to do more and more shopping online and I have NEVER had any company follow up. Not one single time. On top of that the pricing was incredible. The selection was top notch. I HIGHLY recommended this company to anyone! I have already shared our experience online because I feel that strongly that this company deserves as much word of mouth advertising as possible. It was our first time to the Sweetwater pavilion to see a show, BlackBerry Smoke with The Steel Woods. Turned out to be a great place to see some live music. Great facility and the staff was awsome. Looking forward to our next concert at Sweetwater!

UPDATE: These guys are on point! A couple days after I wrote my original review of Sweetwater, Robert called me to thank me for it. I might expect that from a small mom and pop joint but SW is big time! It's very cool that they behave like a small store by treating their Customers with amazing one on one attention and service. I left a scathing review for Guitar Center the other day. You think anyone from GC reached out to me? PA-LEASE! Sweetwater ROCKS!!!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Hands down the best experience I've EVER had buying music gear! So I bought a $2.85 bottle of string cleaner on eBay. I didn't pay attention to who I was buying it from. The price was right and it was free shipping. Free shipping on a $2.85 item? Crazy, right?! The next day I get a phone call from this guy, Robert who works for Sweetwater. He wanted to acknowledge my order and thank me for my business. Uh, ok but I only bought a bottle of string cleaner. Then I get an email from Robert with my shipment info. This part seems normal. The string cleaner arrives 2 days later and Robert calls to follow up and make sure I'm happy with my purchase and Sweetwater experience. Ok, yes I am but again I ONLY BOUGHT A $2.85 BOTTLE OF STRING CLEANER!

I was so impressed by the level of service that I decided to consider Sweetwater for my next big guitar gear purchase, a Line6 HD500X. I dropped by the local Guitar Center to check one out and was promptly ignored. Its crazy, I've spent thousands of dollars at GC and STILL get ignored. In fact, I was in there the other day and saw some dad walk in with his son. They had just bought the kid his first guitar and wanted the guitar tech to look at it. Without even looking at the Customer, the tech just says "I'm off" and walks out the door. WTF?! Now, compare that to Robert at Sweetwater. He's been attentive from day one and has answered every question promptly and thoroughly. He's stayed beyond his scheduled working hours to help me nail down the right solution for my needs. And he hasn't tried to sell me stuff I don't need. I have a unique setup and that is probably unlike most guitar players. He's worked hard to come up with something perfect for me and I could not be more stoked. His effort and dedication have been exemplary. My man-tuary is proof positive that Robert is the man! I will not shop anywhere else. Robert and Sweetwater have earned my business for life. True story - During one of our many back and forths, Robert suggested a set of studio monitors that were a bit beyond what I wanted to spend so we scale back and come up with something perfect for my application and my budget. That night I dropped by GC to pick up some guitar strings and I just happen to see the more expensive studio monitors Robert had suggested earlier. GC has them on clearance for LESS than what I just bought from Sweetwater. But I never even considered returning the ones I bought from Sweetwater to purchase the others from GC. Not a chance. Sorry GC you had your chance (actually many chances) and have lost me as a Customer.

I've purchased from many music stores and sites over the years but Sweetwater is far and away the best! My son and I are even considering taking a trip to Indiana to check out their incredible facilities :)

Great for info, products, handling of everything, beginning to end and beyond. The Head honcho should get a Nobel prize and should be president of the USA because he interprets business as win-win. If he runs, I'll start voting.

Sweetwater is the best company out there! They have fast service and excellent customer service! They are my go to place for music and I absolutely love this place! You won't regret buying from them.

Amazing service. I put a Taylor on hold and drove 3 hours to come pick it up; it was set up perfectly when I got there. There is a great selection of guitars to try out as well and they are well-staffed enough to answer any questions you have. I will definitely be using their online store to get guitar supplies in the future.

It's the Google of Music stores and they have a slide. I feel bad for Guitar Center now. Check out Gear fest for sure. Everyone who works there seems to be really passionate about the company and its products. They will have someone who knows how to help you get the equipment you need... and maybe some stuff you didn't know you needed.

These folks have made a commitment to the music, to their customers, and to their community. Dave Brow, my sales associate, took the time to come down so I could put a face to the courteous voice and show me the features of Sweetwater. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Great prices and great selection for djs. I had a good time even though workers could not figure our why the pioneer dj mixer wasn't releasing volume.

It's a nice place to go for any musical needs and then some. Lots to pick from, polite staff, and very clean.

My favorite place in the world! Whichever type of musician you are, you will appreciate Sweetwater. They have had everything needed to support my music career throughout the years. Their sales and service departments are second to none. I am always confident I will be well taken care of.

A very large building which purports to be the worlds largest music store. However much of the building is a warehouse where the on-line orders are processed for dispatch.
They do have a nice selection of guitars to puruse, which I am particularly interested in, but it is not the largest selection I have seen in some guitar stores.
It has a nice cafe and plenty of parking space outside.

I can't describe it ! But if you like music you must see this place !!

Awesome place! Took a little while to get the merch up from the warehouse, but plenty to do while we waited.

Sweetwater was fabulous!! So was sales associate AUSTIN!! I know he was "just doing his job", as he assured me several times, but he made my job easier. We came in, initially, to look at demo pianos, and decided that our pianist needs to come here. But yeah. I shopped, with AWESOME AUSTIN'S AWESOME help!

Music gear selection that is second to none. Most knowledgeable staff I've ever encountered. It's always a treat shopping at Sweetwater.

Love the place an amazing experience. Went in just to browse and was looking at all the gear stopped an associate to ask a question about repair parts for my bass and was taken to the service center and they helped better than expected couldn't be happier. Will definitely be back.

Sweetwater goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of their customers. I refer all of my friends and family to Sweetwater because I know they will be treated with the same fantastic customer service I get every time I place an order.

UPDATED---I popped in there the other evening just to glance around the Guitar Room, to see if anything changed on the pricing for the holidays. Then I walked to the room with the microphones and studio monitors, asked a question about a decibel meter, and then strolled around browsing in the keyboard and piano room.

Was not planning on looking for a stage piano, but ended up setting up a purchase. Extremely helpful staff---very patient and very informative. A Plus! I highly recommend them, unequivocally.

***UPDATE***
Since my initial visit, I have been back multiple times, having bought now new and used merchandise, to include a digital soundboard, an analog sound board, analog EQ, a pair of 15 inch PA speakers, and a beautiful-sounding 88 Key Stage piano from the used gear shop, Plus two brand new electric guitars and a terrific practice amp.

I continue to be more impressed with each passing visit.
I cannot possibly recommend Sweetwater Sound and they're incredibly capable sales team more highly.

We're very fortunate to have an amazing resource such as Sweetwater available to us in such close proximity. A drive of 3-6 hours would easily be worth the experience of checking out this place, and it's here in our own backyard. Most people only experience Sweetwater through online or catalog. No spoilers here. Ill let this one speak for itself. Go visit if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Great education and so much fun! Free arcade games and so much more! The cafe and music shops are so cheap and have great service! Overall, if you would like to go somewhere that is free entertainment, go here!

This was awesome! I was here for 2019 gearfest, and had a blast! Staff is friendly, food and services were great. Even with 5,000+ people there they managed to keep on top of it and keep it impeccably clean the whole time! 10/10!

This is a truly amazing place! Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly! They have everything here! Everyone I met was very welcoming g and helpful. I had an amazing time and bought a couple of Taylor guitars.

Sweetwater is an absolute must-visit for anyone interested in music and audio equipment, having fun, and/or experiencing forward-thinking and employee-friendly corporate campus. The retail music store is overall better than any Guitar Center or Sam Ash I've visited, especially for keyboards (including acoustic pianos). There are so many other other reasons to go to Sweetwater, including the adult slide, free arcade, live music events, instrument repair, gear exchange, and much more. The entire complex is new and a winder to behold, and the staff are extremely friendly.

EXCELLENT customer service! They have a great online selection and they are incredibly helpful and easy to work with. I highly recommend buying your gear from Sweetwater as opposed to anywhere else.

I don t know what is going on with this company. I use to love them, but they re currently trying to change their distribution center... and it s left a horrible taste in my mouth. Waiting weeks for my items, getting the absolute run around from their sales team, getting excuse after excuse and not getting return calls. An apology isn t getting my order on a FedEx truck. I am supposed to have a personalized sales person who I have never been able to get on the phone. Not once in my years of shopping with Sweetwater have I talked to him. I don t know what is going on but my advice is if it ain t broke stop trying to fix it. I m over this place as of today. 2400 dollars that I paid, and we re moving into the third week of not receiving my drums, and five different people over the course of a week have told me they re boxed up and waiting to ship. For a week. I have sunk thousands of dollars into this company, and I m not doing it anymore. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
