UPDATE: These guys are on point! A couple days after I wrote my original review of Sweetwater, Robert called me to thank me for it. I might expect that from a small mom and pop joint but SW is big time! It's very cool that they behave like a small store by treating their Customers with amazing one on one attention and service. I left a scathing review for Guitar Center the other day. You think anyone from GC reached out to me? PA-LEASE! Sweetwater ROCKS!!!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Hands down the best experience I've EVER had buying music gear! So I bought a $2.85 bottle of string cleaner on eBay. I didn't pay attention to who I was buying it from. The price was right and it was free shipping. Free shipping on a $2.85 item? Crazy, right?! The next day I get a phone call from this guy, Robert who works for Sweetwater. He wanted to acknowledge my order and thank me for my business. Uh, ok but I only bought a bottle of string cleaner. Then I get an email from Robert with my shipment info. This part seems normal. The string cleaner arrives 2 days later and Robert calls to follow up and make sure I'm happy with my purchase and Sweetwater experience. Ok, yes I am but again I ONLY BOUGHT A $2.85 BOTTLE OF STRING CLEANER!

I was so impressed by the level of service that I decided to consider Sweetwater for my next big guitar gear purchase, a Line6 HD500X. I dropped by the local Guitar Center to check one out and was promptly ignored. Its crazy, I've spent thousands of dollars at GC and STILL get ignored. In fact, I was in there the other day and saw some dad walk in with his son. They had just bought the kid his first guitar and wanted the guitar tech to look at it. Without even looking at the Customer, the tech just says "I'm off" and walks out the door. WTF?! Now, compare that to Robert at Sweetwater. He's been attentive from day one and has answered every question promptly and thoroughly. He's stayed beyond his scheduled working hours to help me nail down the right solution for my needs. And he hasn't tried to sell me stuff I don't need. I have a unique setup and that is probably unlike most guitar players. He's worked hard to come up with something perfect for me and I could not be more stoked. His effort and dedication have been exemplary. My man-tuary is proof positive that Robert is the man! I will not shop anywhere else. Robert and Sweetwater have earned my business for life. True story - During one of our many back and forths, Robert suggested a set of studio monitors that were a bit beyond what I wanted to spend so we scale back and come up with something perfect for my application and my budget. That night I dropped by GC to pick up some guitar strings and I just happen to see the more expensive studio monitors Robert had suggested earlier. GC has them on clearance for LESS than what I just bought from Sweetwater. But I never even considered returning the ones I bought from Sweetwater to purchase the others from GC. Not a chance. Sorry GC you had your chance (actually many chances) and have lost me as a Customer.

I've purchased from many music stores and sites over the years but Sweetwater is far and away the best! My son and I are even considering taking a trip to Indiana to check out their incredible facilities :)
