Sweetwater Sound Review

If you want the best of the best facility for your EVERY musical need, look no further! This place is happily overwhelming to the consumer! The staff here are so friendly and helpful! Such a fun experience going into private rooms and playing hand picked instruments! We even asked for a few specialty items,(theremin, steel guitar) that they were more than happy to pull from the warehouse for our playing pleasure! From starter to beyond professional, this is it! They also have a world class recording studio, restaurant, free virtual golf, billiards, ping pong, pin ball, etc. for all who want to play! Great warehouse observation windows to view the packing process and a super twisty slide from the second floor down that the daughter and I enjoyed thoroughly a fee times! So, if anything "music" comes to mind, you MUST go here! I guarantee you will not be disappointed and you will have a great experience!

Beautiful facilities. It is everything a musician could dream of. There is a cafe, a diner, a free arcade, and the staff is always great!

I love Sweetwater! They have extremely helpful staff and want to make sure you are happy at every turn. They even provide training, sometimes free, with some of the top music industry professionals. They do so much work, before you even see your product, to ensure whatever you buy is ready to go with no problems. They have my future business for sure!

Had a great experience for nearly a decade, then everything changed. Asked about price matching amd was scoffed at and told "good luck with their customer service. Finally, was sold B-stock/demo studio monitors for "discount" that became new price a month later. The speakers went out 11 months later & service request was put off, unanswered or ignoted until warranty ended. So, stopped being a customer. Then, they went out of their way to remedy the situation and won me back. Great company again!!

This place is incredible whether you're a musician or not! The public areas are spacious and clean. The kids can play at their free arcade and slip down the two story slide. Parents can grab a cup of coffee at their cafe, and everyone can affordably eat at the cafeteria. Musical artists have a dizzying array of options. The store is packed, there are playing rooms (even for drums!), Recording rooms, and extensive repair department.. just about everything one could need.

First time there today, and it could have been overwhelming. Fortunately, the staff was excellent and the man helping us out showed us several options and took the time to discuss them; he was obviously a knowledgeable musician rather than a mere store clerk. I'll definitely go back for future service or products.

These guys are awesome. Shout out to my sales engineer Chris C. I had run into some problems and he was very, very swift and went above and beyond to fix everything for me. I use to give my business to guitar center and amazon but now i will give it all to sweetwater for as long as im playing music. Thanks for being a great company.

Shop here if you want peace of mind with great customer service. Any problem you have these guys will take care of it. If you run into a problem for whatever reason give these guys a chance to fix it and you wont be disappointed.

About the campus.

I visited the facility aswell, its a little over 3 hours away and it is really nice. All the sales people in the music area were nice and the cafeteria is huge and open, even the bathrooms in the music room are super fancy. Almost Everything about this place was great. It was a really comfortable setting but the only thing that bothered me was 1 private music room to test guitars in, i would just like to see more private rooms. I think 3 should do it.

This place would be a dream job for me, But thanks again to my sales engineer Chris C, you guys should give him a raise or something.

This place is unbelievable. I only saw a small portion of it and couldn't believe what they had. If you need anything involving music like equipment and such this is the place to go. Looking for another reason to visit soon.

This is an amazing place! We stopped by and ended up staying for several hours. My son was able to try out several guitars and we had a delicious meal in their cafeteria. It was a wonderful experience.

Pros: Exellent service. Always helpful staff. Big selection with a HUGE showroom. Anything on their website can be retrieved from the warehouse for you to check out/play. Also available are workshops, seminars, lessons, recording booths, private rooms, pretty much anything you can think of music related.
Before/after/during shopping, taking lessons, and using private recording studios, they have a full cafeteria, coffee bar, and arcade, including ping pong, putt putt, virtual driving range, foosball, pool, pinball and various arcade machines, all set for free play.
Cons: Can get kind of crazy when it's busy.
You may have to ask at the information desk to find everything, its a big place with lots going on.
Thoughts: this is one of my favorite places to visit and spend money. Anything you need for your music needs is here.

Sweetwater is such a amazing and beautiful place. I went there for my birthday and spent about $1500! They have everything there, it was so great I had to go back the next day because I completely forgot some stuff I needed. It takes your breath away. The employees are awesome too, they are really laid back and helpful. Sadly it wasn t entirely packed full of people which can be a negative or a positive due to corona virus. But I wish I could work there or live near there.

This is a company that serves it's employees well. They, in turn, serve the customers well. It is clearly a place that has grown with the focus in creating a great environment t for motivated people to work and thrive. As a long time customer I can tell you that I have always been served well and respected. I attended a 3 day Master Class in the studio and it was wonderful. The guest musicians were patient and open, the studio staff was kind and knowledgeable.

I don't have need to go there very often, but the level of customer service for walk in folks is impressive. Knowledgeable and took me directly to what I needed. After he answered my questions, the salesperson helped me pick what would fit my needs without trying to upsell me. Love the laid back feel and hi tech look of this place.

My husband and I have purchased multiple items from Sweetwater and I can't recommend them enough. Our sales agent, Matt F., even calls us after the purchases to make sure everything is going well! He even helped me by answering what felt like 100 questions when I was purchasing a guitar for my husband's birthday as a surprise. Customer service is top notch here and that makes them #1 to us!

Had an accident with my brand new Gibson SG. My fault. Took a nick out of the finish down to the wood. It was small, but highly visible on the top side of the body as you look down at the guitar when playing.
Knowing this was not a warranty or Sweetwater problem, I phoned the Service Department
To my surprise and due to some incredible timing, Dakota Bishop went beyond expectations. He said, we understand how you feel and while we cannot replace the guitar, we have the last 2018 model on my bench now and it has a very small imperfection on the fretboard that has no impact on play. Sweetwater sent that to me to examine, it was perfect and I could not even find the defect! I sent my dinged guitar back. Sweetwater picked up the shipping cost and the replacement guitar was set up with the same care the original was.
This is so far above good customer service that I wanted to give credit where credit is due.. Thank you Dakota and Sweetwater! Every review about your great service is true and may even be understated!

If you think your online shopping was great wait until you actually shop in the store. Sweetwater is amazing in all aspects, they have a bit of something for all the musicians needs at a great price. The have a wonderful selection of guitars and decent selection of ukuleles. Maybe you just want to buy a gift for your musician friend, you can buy ornaments, bags, scarfs, jewelry etc. Don't forget to buy yourself a comfy Sweetwater tshirt. If your kids get bored they have a game area with free video games, skee ball etc. If that's not enough, they have a nice slide in the inside of the store. They also have a used instrument shop that's reasonable. Hungry? Eat there, they have an assortment of meals to choose from made by scratch. I never had a bad meal ever. All the employees are genuinely friendly. There's a lot more to this place, definately worth the trip.

Hands down the best place to purchase music instruments and pro audio gear. Their sales and support team is the best in the industry. The retail store in Fort Wayne has an excellent selection of all the products they sell which they will bring up to you from their warehouse after your purchase. Whether you are in Fort Wayne or not, this is the place to go for new gear and instrument purchases.

This company is hands-down the best place I have ever purchased musical equipment from. My sales engineer is Jason Koons, and he has helped my daughter get a piano, my son get a guitar, and now even advised me on getting a guitar for myself. His advice is flawless, and his genuine interest in helping people get what they need is soooooo evident. He never sends me garbage emails like most places - you know, the ones that have their "lowest price of the year" sale every other week. You know what he does send me? an occasional email - like every 4-6 months - asking how my kids like their gear and how things are going with my family!! Seriously, in today's marketplace, WHO DOES THAT???? Well, I know one person who does - and only one. Thank you for everything , Jason.

I called them about a new line 6 helix ,and spoke to Noah who took great care of me , the entire process to less than 5 minutes great customer service and Noah went above and beyond , look forward to my order arriving and doing future buisness with sweetwater . I have ordered from Sweetwater twice, once for a couple of Behringer pedals and now for a set of the Behringer XD80USB 8-piece High-performance Electronic Drum Set. With both purchases I experienced the best possible customer service and follow up. Normally I would not believe it when a company has SO MANY 5 star reviews and I myself rarely give 5 stars to anyone. But if I could pay something to add one more star I would. As an Internet consultant I advise my clients about the importance of customer service. And I really HATE bad customer service. What Sweetwater is doing is nothing short of creating a "Consumer Cult" around their business. One of the other reviewers said they drove from Ohio to visit the Sweetwater store. If I was going to be in their area I would do the same - for sure.

All businesses, on-line or off-line, should learn what this company is doing and follow their example. In time, they will also be a leader in their industry.

Always a great experience. Went into the shop today and Alex P. helped me find the perfect wall hangers for my string instruments. He brought numerous items up from the warehouse until I found the exact ones I needed.

I lived 855 miles from Sweetwater when my daughter and I loaded up for a road trip. Take a tour on the website and you get a glimpse of what you are in for if you actually go to the campus-only a glimpse.

Forget the board of directors-led corporate world. This place is still owned and controlled by one man, and the employees have great respect and admiration for him, each other, and the customers.

I am pretty confident that everyone working there from the obvious staff down to the food service staff are direct Sweetwater employees. It's old school courtesy and the professionalism and product knowledge of the staff is remarkable. The staff even have a on site doctor to visit-when needed.

My trip was very inspiring on several levels and Mr. Surack has invested considerably ($Millions) in the arts in general and in the Ft. Wayne area.

I have been a patron of Sweetwater for quite a few years and have had nothing but first class service from the numerous people I have had dealings with. I will always seek to satisfy my musical needs from Sweetwater first.

We have so much fun with our 3 kids all different ages ranging from 11 to 2. It doesn't cost anything so it's perfect for anyone with low income. Our kids request to go any time it's bad weather and they wanna get out of the house. The slide is also a lot of fun for kids and adults.

Great place for any musician. Their gear store has a huge selection of a wide variety of instruments, recording equipment, music, and accessories. The staff there is also exceedingly knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. This place also has many additional features such as a cafe, spa, and recording academy which is delightful, though I cannot properly review them as I have never used those portions of the building. If you need gear, though, this is definitely the place to go.

Used to love shopping online here. They've really fallen behind on shipping times. Amazon (if they have it) or zzounds are muuuuuch faster. Also my sales rep i got stuck with has hassled me about returns. I'll shop here if it's my last resort for certain products.

This place is amazing. It's the supercenter of all things audio. They have absolutely everything you could ever need in one place. The staff is exquisitely trained and professional, the building is kept perfectly clean and they're always having fantastic events. The recording studios are phenomenal and they really support the creatives in the area and worldwide, for that matter. Started in Fort Wayne, Sweetwater is really playing a big part in establishing the area as a musical hub and helping the local economy. Fantastic place.

I've always gotten wonderful service from these guys, in particular Tom Koch...They're friendly, prompt, and very knowledgeable . I'd give 10 stars if I could. I've dealt with Tom on several purchases and he's been outstanding. A musician's dream
I have never been in any music store this huge. I finally found out what it feels like to play a Real Rickenbacker 360. Beautiful Blond, and it fits my hands perfectly. I will buy one some day. Sweetwater, I'll be back!

The first time I ever ordered a guitar online, there was a miscommunication with the setup, most likely my fault. Long story short they made this J45 perfect. There is no possible way you would get the service I received from any other music store such as Guitar Center or Sam Ash. I am 100 percent satisfied with how Sweetwater took care of me.

Had some issues with shipping and the guitar once I received it. Andrew and the rest of the staff really helped me out and rectified a difficult situation. Very much appreciate their follow up and work to get everything straightened out. Great work all!

They do provide from overall to fair service; my warning comment for customers is that they offer 55 point guitar inspection and that is not true. They sent my guitar with no signs of being reviewed, it was setup very poorly and tremolo arm was missing.

I get 99% of my music gear from Sweetwater! From instruments to strings, to music, they have it all! They always throw some candy into the box/bag when you make a purchase, and will check in later to make sure it's still going well for you. They usually have the best prices on the market as well, and have a small free arcade for when you want to play around.
