Absolutely rude staff and manager and worst OMAKASE that comes in one plate in 5 minutes.

It look like this restaurant does not care any customer service but proud of taste ???? but taste is not there yet. Would rather go to other choices.
I probably think they would not care of this but you should be careful really.

One of the swankiest sushi dinning experiences I've encountered. Very high grade sushi in a very high grade ambiance. They've got a few interesting non-sushi dishes with very unique flavors which may challenge diners less accustomed to Japanese foods.

Definitely on the more expensive side, but given the quality it's good value for the money.

Had a reservation at noon and they opened right on time. Got the guests seated well and fast. Sushi is fresh and second to what you get in Japan. The sushi rice however can do with better seasoning. Service is prompt and pleasant and we were told no tips required as the staff have been compensated accordingly in the salary.

Had an omakase dinner in the table, service is excellent. Food is above average. This is my first time having omakase. I would say it s a little bit expensive with their quality, but it s worth a visit since you are paying money to experience traditional fine japan sushi dinning. It s same experience that I had in Japan.

Tip: If you are going to have Omakase, please reserve your seats at the bar. I've seated at both bar and the table. Although all the staffs will serve you the best with the explanation and the details of the dish, quality of food is better at the bar. Besides sushi comes directly from the chef in separated dish for your company comparably it comes in a huge dish together with no beauty.

If you are ready to actually try real sushi, then I highly recommend Sushi Yasuda, I am a huge sushi lover and have been to some of the other notable places such as Morimoto and Sushi of Gari but I still prefer Yasuda. Their toro is most excellent.

Can't get enough of this special place. We made a reservation for the sushi bar the last four times we ate here

First and foremost they allow you to order whatever you want (just not specials which we never do anyway) so you get to eat your favorite pieces of sushi or sashimi. Of course you can go the omakas...

Compared to high-end sushi restaurants in Japan, the taste is comparable to that of fresh ingredients and hygienic cooking. Today's best taste is California Uni Sushi! Best quality of Uni Sushi ever eaten!

Make sure you get the Omakase. My biggest gripe with Sushi Yasuda is the service, it came across as cold and not very inviting. Maybe it was just my one time there but the place is on the pricier end so it's not like I can just give them another shot to let them prove otherwise. Anyway, everything other than the service was good.

Best sushi I ve ever had in NYC. Rivals some of the best I ve had in Japan. Service can use some work. More of a churn and burn rather than being able to explain fish you may not be familiar with.

The minimum but fair,
An exclusive sushiman attended only us, at a pleasant and intimate pace.

Phenomenal.. This place have never disappointed me . Always the best quality food and its never enough . Pricey [wouldn't say over the top ]but worth it . They are very keen about the time ,if you plan to hang around for long after food , then this is not the place since there will be always a next person waiting for their reservation to be taken care of

Simply fantastic sushi.

Simply fantastic sushi.

The unagi sushi was the best unagi I've ever had - so melty and complex. The hotate and salmon sushi were also outstanding.

I didn't particularly care for the salmon, tuna, and king salmon rolls I tried, however. They didn't really taste like much of anything at all to me.

Food was fresh, and good but not awesome, but the service was poor. The server did not pay attention to us early on, and then when it was time to leave rushed us and ushered us out. Felt like they chased us out like we were roaches. Not impressed.

very very good sushi. I wasnt completely happy with the service as I had to flag down our waitress about 3 times before she actually came over and they brought me the wrong type of soup as my appetizer.... although i'm kindof glad they did because it was great! i liked the decor too and it wasn't too packed when I ate there so i was happy about that.

As someone who loves Omakase this is now my gold standard for sushi outside of Japan (and is high up even against Japanese places). The cuts of fsh clearly showed off the chef's skill and the selections were unique and worth the cost. While the meal was expensive, it was actually a very good price of the amount of pieces we had and the rarity of some of the cuts.

Add amazingly attentive service and you have and experience I would gladly repeat. Knowing just how well I'll be taken care of here makes it hard to try other places.

Omigod. Had the treat of being treated to the "bring us whatever you want chef" at the sushi bar. Unbelivably delicious and well considered. Was glad I drank oced green tea and not a beer so I could taste it all better. Anyone else wanna treat me?

I went for lunch and was told from a friend it was price fixed at $30. Well that was wrong! The bill for two was over $350!!!! And we were still hungry after! Completely shocked at how expensive this was! Dinner at Jules Verne was less expensive and we were inside of the Eiffel Tower!!! Also, we were seated at 1:30 PM for the second of two seatings. They close at 2:15. So that was a not relaxing 45 minute lunch for that ridiculous price. I cannot get over the shock! Could have gone to a Broadway Play! Stayed another day in my hotel, on and on. Food should never be this expensive! And without notice!!! Terrible!!

Sushi was great, although quite pricey. Price isnt the reason I took off a star however, our waiter was why - he seemed entirely new to the place. I am understanding about new waiters having to learn but he was basically entirely new, which was a bit disappointing especially considering the price.

I've been to Yasuda about ten times. This is before Yelpin' became my hobby, so I didn't feel it was fair to write a review with no pictures and no check-ins. The times I've been before was always for dinner with family or on dates. Today was lunch - never tried their lunch before and I'm glad I did! Four of us walked across the street, but this time, not for Soba Totto's bara chirashi. It's a whole different level and everyone knows about Yasuda, so enough talk about how mouth watering even the sight of their restaurant door is.

Most delicious, flavorful and fresh sushi that I have ever eaten. The service and ambience are wonderful as well. It's also incredibly affordable and tips are not allowed. Make a reservation ahead of time, even for lunch!

Came here for lunch after 10 years not visiting NYC. Quite disappointed on the selection of fish, and the quality. Good that we didn t order Omakase, but 10 pcs sushi instead. The sushi they offered lack variety. Gave us 7 white fishes and 2 repeated items. Would expect more from them. They used to have this clam rice dish, but no more now. Won t come back again, as there are a lot more other options out there nowadays for this price

The experience at SUSHI YASUDA was really good, but not as amazing as a $700 meal should be. The 2 appetizers that we order, the butter crab and vegetables, were just so boring and tiny. This was not a great start. Thankfully, after that, almost everything was delicious. We went with the Omakase experience while sitting at the chef's table so we got things put in front of us right away, for many many courses until we said we were full. The salmon, tuna, eel, quids, scallops, crab pieces were all so delicious. The only one neither my wife and I didn't like was the sardine, but just 1 out of ~12 delicious bites was acceptable. The sake we tried was also delicious! Finally, the price tag was a little insane for such experience... another reason to give 4 stars as we have had other experiences of the same quality for a lower price tag, and much better experiences for the same price tag. At the end of the day, it was really just bites of food one after the other; no fancy plating, no pairing, no elaborate explanations. I know that this is what an Omakase dinner is supposed to be, but still not worth that much money imho...

My wife and I were tried this restuarant because of its high review on Google. Later, we found out the high review was probably, faked! Quality was very general but prices was on high side.... atmosphere was bad, not good for spending a romantic time there....
