Great food and atmosphere. Fried chicken sandwich ...
Great food and atmosphere. Fried chicken sandwich is on point.
Great food and atmosphere. Fried chicken sandwich is on point.
We had a good breakfast and an excellent dinner there. Waiters are friendly and cute.
I have been here 3 times over the course of 3 days and if I didn't leave LA I would be definitely back. They have absolutely excellent and well thought through food menu and coffee is to die for. Honestly! Best espressos I had while staying in LA. They delivered every single time I was here.
I will be back!
Very nice place, among other things for brunch, but also to buy good bread or wine.
Incredible food and service. Best bread we ve ever had, an absolute must no matter when you visit. Wonderful chicken meatballs and king salmon plus the side vegetables were done to perfection. Wait staff 10/10, so lovely and took care of us. Can t wait to return.
Everything tasted as great as it looked. Eggs in Purgatory were great and flavorful. Bfast sammich was great, the potatoes are amazing and crispy and seasoned well. Homemade poptart was flaky and fresh. Coffee was great, strong and full like it should be. The breads were all on point. Wait Staff genuinely friendly and attentive. Looks like it gets pretty busy after 10 am.
Good but overpriced !!! 5$ for a chocolat croissant, it's crazy. In France, for the same thing you pay usually 1.1$ !!!
Food is great. Everything I have had here always has a home cooked freshness. I love their braised Lamb for dinner. Their deserts are to die for. I have eaten breakfast lunch and dinner and always love the food and service. I also love the design of the place, never too loud with an extremely open airy yet homey feel.
Amazing Menu. Be prepared to queue. Get there an hour early on weekends. Hype.
Yummmm. Very nice atmosphere for a chill afternoon.
I had no expectations. I wasn't even sure what time I should come... Is it lunch? Dinner? Breakfast? Snack? Who knows!
The best description I can give it is it is a re-imagined modern day diner/coffee shop/"bakery". The food was pretty good, but not memorable. I like the space though: it is large, simply decorated, trendy.
All that said, the bread prices are ludicrous, so don't go there for that.
Great food, good service, and quiet atmosphere.
Portions are small so beware and it is on the pricey end.
Cheesy eggs here are really amazing. Good place for a casual breakfast.
Come for the baked goods... stay because you never want to be away from the Everything Bagel Cream Cheese-filled Croissant. Seriously. It's THAT good!
Delicious food, pastries and coffee. Great spot in the (early) morning on the weekend to take kids and not worry about the noise. Mid-morning it turns into an older crowd which is also nice. Love the cheesy eggs.
For the most part. Customer service is terrible because they're being discretely disrespectful. So its a no for me. I don't want to dine at a place like this. To dine here would mean to support this business and I don't want to that.
Good wine. Mediocre food. Freindly service. Not enough parking.
Great food and atmosphere! Loved my veggie burger! Bakery had amazing looking pastries but didn't try this time. Want to go back!
Wow such a great spot! My family and I met here for dinner on a Saturday and had reservations. We sat in the back and it was nice and cozy. They had blankets and heat lamps but it was a warm night. The mushroom bread was to die for! We all split the different vegetables which I loved (Brussels were my favorite) and the server was super node.
There is a parking lot and a huge space, but I would make a reservation on the weekends.
Also a big drink menu.
The best coffee that I drink!(Turmeric, Ginger and pepper.
Fantastic service, extremely nice people. High quality food and amazing coffee.
Very cool ambiance, to me I find it more of a bakery, however, they do have couples and evening dinner menus on New year's Eve and other holidays. Good champagne and servers, though some of them seem to have some celebrity-attitude, waitressing until they reach their moment of Fame - but it's ok! Food is presented well but the flavors are basic as in the avocado appetizer and shrimp salad. It was literally toast with avocado; unseasoned mini shrimps on a bed of plain greens! The main coarse we more flavorish. I enjoyed the decoration and ambiance the most!
Everything I've ever had here was great. Of all the things to rave about this is an odd one, but the charred thick cut bread they serve at dinner is one of the greatest things in existence.
Amazing food, service, and ambience. Highly recommend!
I will speak about the design. I definitely like the design. I do mot believe this place has diversity at all. I was the only black lol. Its sounds funny but its true. I felt out of place. There are brown workers only. They were Hispanic fem looking guys. Sad but where are the blsck people not working here. No black customers. I was the black customers. Strange feeling and lack of trust i felt.
Juste perfect place to eat, decor is lovely and food so exellent!!!
Awful. Oysters made me and my GF violently ill. Never go here.
Haven't been in a while - and regret it. Had the breakfast sandwich yesterday with the crispy potatoes - and man, they were just as I like it. The sandwich was spectacular, the cappuccino perfect.
Would I go again: oh yes. Would a make a 30+ minute detour just to go (mandatory in my rating scheme to get five stars)? Absolutely yes.
Six stars to our service - I had media guests from Germany and they had problems to decide - and she was such a doll.
Thanks for reading my comment. Now, if you are curious enough about my "rating scheme", here's "the moment of truth. I am a music photographer who travels the world with the world's greatest musical talents (Michael Jackson, AC/DC, Rolling Stones or Rammstein, to name a few) for almost 40 years. When being asked "where do you live" I tended to ask "in hotels". At my peak, I "shot" 250 shows a year. Will say: been there, saw and tasted it, and a lot, as I may say and much to the dismay of my doctor who is in my back to lose a few pounds. Quite a few, as I may add, which is why my wife and I walk ten thousand steps per day, where- and whenever we can - and explore a lot of new exciting places - places you may oversee when just driving by.
While I love to share my experience with others, I am sometimes shocked how people use their "power of word" to down-rate amazing places because of minor incidents (in my all-time favourite restaurant Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza the owner was even called a racist as he refused to toast the (free) bread in his packed restaurant - they simply do not offer toasted bread, as no French place does, as I may add). Or I just read "Chicken piccata so over-salted I hope the dog enjoys the leftovers tomorrow, I brought home most of the dish." Did they speak to their service? How could the restaurant learn that something was wrong when patrons even have their leftovers boxed to take home? As a dog owner, I want to take the writer and shake him or her really bad and say "you give over-salted food to your dog? Anyone with a bit of brain understands this is a horrible idea... I hope you agree.
So If I had the say on this portal, I would offer just to see ratings of my friends. So I would see what the ratings were by like-minded people. Sadly, I have no say. I try not to compare apples with oranges. A place like this simply does not compare to "The Ritz". At first, I assume that a restaurant is clean, they do not greet you with a gun - and they deliver whatever they promise. I do not give stars for things that are expected. In my rating scheme, three or more stars are awarded if they actually exceeded my expectation. Four, if I am sure I will come back. To achieve five stars, I must be willing to take a detour of thirty minutes or more to go again.
Thank you for reading this.

The Superba is an hour drive from our place - and we take this way to go there - do I need to say more ;-)
Had the Avocado toast and loved it. The bread is among the best we ever had in LA.
Reliably delicious brunch and great coffee. Perfect for a slow morning...
Awesome food. Even better bakery. Parking sucks tho.
Must place to visit. quintessential new Venice environment. Service was more than asked for. Food is modern and just the right amount on plate. Loved it .
Had dinner here a few days ago, everything was spot on so I decided to try their breakfast. My marbled eggs were lovely except it was a little under seasoned. Overall great service and good quality.
On a side note, I only checked their hours on Google and did not realize their breakfast starts @8am, before that would just be pastries and coffee.
Great pastries and coffee, although the prices are steep!
A little precious for me as Venice undergoes its transformation to a wealthier demographic, but whenever I have stopped in (usually for just coffee and/or a snack), I've had friendly, down-to-earth service. The coffee IS excellent.
Super good breakfast. They need their own bread. Call to reserve before.
Unbelievable customer service is what I received from my waiter Julian. The moment you enter you are greeted by a staff member to ask is your meal take out or are you dining in. I was given a seat and Julian appeared within seconds. Scrambled eggs, and their crispy potato is so good. I was confused why I received better customer service at Superba Food & Bread than the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica. The best way to end your meal is with a Peanut butter Rice Krispy cookie. You can not go wrong giving this company a try.
Food is average, coffee is ok. Latte art.... well, you see
Nice place for hanging out with your friends though.
Take avocado toast - it is difficult to spoil that one
Great Food, good coffee, wonderful breads & pastries ALL made on the premises, cool & comfortable 'industrial feel' atmosphere & available WiFi. A great place to hang out & wait for your car to be serviced for a couple of hours.
If kale and quinoa are your thing, this is your place to eat.
Great place, good service, tasty food and really good music.
Stopped by for lunch on our way from the airport....new location on Lincoln and great, relaxed interior. Great wait staff, delicious food, what you expect in LA.
Food was good but the service was epically slow and poor and inattentive.
I eat here once a week. I have yet to be let down by the service or the food. Sarah, always remembers exactly what I order and is very helpful when splitting a large check. The food is GREAT, which I don t say often.
It's fine. It's trendy. It's so LA. The food is good, but not better than what I can cook at home.
I found this place to be highly overrated. Their freshly baked bread was just alright and everything is significantly overpriced. I got a pretty small chicken sandwich and a glass of juice (and nothing else) which set me back $30 (with tax/tip). The service was also quite bad and we had to flag down a different waitress on several occasions to get ketchup, cheque, etc. Pretty disappointing.
Good vibes but small portions and expensive to go every day. A good place for occasions
The food was excellent! The staff was super friendly!
Great experience! Fabulously curated food, warm and quick service, unpretentious but tasteful music, and an enveloping ambiance supported by great interior design.
This place was great! Nice and trendy! I had lunch next to Nate Faxon here!
Parking is kinda tight if you want to park in front of the building. There's about 10-12 spots that's it. But tons of Street parking. Tip: read signs so you don't get towed.
My 4 stars here are for the service most of all -- I think everyone we met from the bartending staff, to the hostesses, to the waiter all seemed super happy to be there!
Lovely little neighborhood place with lovely food. Service was the best.
Just got a coffee to go. Was busy but was told to go order and pay then collect somewhere else. It wasn't the best location for a to-go matcha late but I wouldn't have sat down either as there was almost 30 min wait for a table. Food looked good....would like to try sometime!
DELICIOUS food. Only downfall is parking lot is super tiny, so arrive early to find a spot on the streets nearby.
Food was excellent but very slow indifferent service at lunch
Great, spacious outdoor area and dog friendly. The cookie with rice krispies on top was the stand out for me... also really like the kale salad and fried chicken sandwich (with fries!) but would likely order something else next time.
I just go for coffee which is delicious but the staff is so nice.
Delicious, high quality food. I only wish they had more vegan optionts
Very open and bright. Cute decor. Food is a bit pricy, and the $8 juices are fairly small, but everything tasted absolutely phenomenal.
Amazing selection of patisserie, worth a visit if you miss European style breakfast.
The coffee is good. Food is a bit on the salty and pricey side. But the burger is EXCELLENT
Great bread and the world's best chocolate chip cookies.
One of my favorite brunch spots on the Westside. Good value, great food, hip atmosphere. Nice that their cafe window opens to the front of the building so that you can get a drink while waiting for a table.
Cute and good brunch spot. The standout was the cold fashioned cocktail
Super open and airy and contemporary space. Onsite pastry-making magicians. For me I like sitting on the patio with my dog and indulge their breakfast sandwich with coffee and fresh OJ.
What struck me the most about this place was the generous portions. Usually at a hip place like this the portions are small. Not here. The salad is large, and so were the other entrees.
Our waitress was among the top three if not the best wait staff I have had. Excellent service, thank you so much. Didn't catch her name but she had medium length light blond hair.
Had the bread, ceasar salad, fried cod, and smoked trout. All excellent and delicious.
Came here without reservations in a spur of the moment to wait out the traffic in Lincoln.
A small but well selected menu; everything on there is delicious. The decor is stylishly simple and the staff are friendly and attentive.
A nice variety of food, something for everyone. The mushroom toast with raclette was my favorite!
Great bread - pain au levain
Food is tasty and high quality
Decoration is very nice
The only thing is that this place is too popular... impossible to get tables expect on Sunday night
