So full of their own hype that they can't meet the needs of their students. Was repeatedly turned away from the understaffed school therapists and was eventually referred out to some off-campus hack to deal with stress from school.

Not mention the shallow, underplanned courses.

This director of admissions and the faculty of this average school is nothing more than irresponsible. Forgetting to notify the applicant of his acceptance is pretty important, than again, this school isn't that special anyway.

Do not have any affiliation with SUNY ESF, it is shameful and there nothing to be proud of.

As far as academic rigor goes for Environmental Studies focused on Policy, Planning, and Law, I have excellent educational, course-work related experiences. Presently the campus diversity has many problems. When you arrive here if you are a minority, you will find that ESF offers very little support to their minorities. Just a heads up that there is no central minority office for us and you will have to seek out those trusted individuals who understand your problems. Secondly, the elevators in Bray are always breaking down, and the accessibility for differently abled bodies have to take complicated routes. ESA animals are not allowed on campus. There are few campus clubs, but SU offers a ton! I can also contest that Earth week is an excellent time to make plants and tie-dye a shirt. You will find this school over exaggerates a lot of stuff and little will be offered outside of your educational program academic requirements. Very loud library and few seating around the campus.

I have been to multiple colleges, all of which, had much less funding to provide for the students than this one, yet they made it work and I learned an incredible amount from some wonderful professors. Heck, I even excelled in all of these colleges.

This college however is a sick joke. I absolutely despise this college. It is genuinely one of the only places I've been to that makes me want to kill myself. The atmosphere is so smug in Syracuse you could probably die from overexposure to bigotry. Then you get to the campus of ESF where the hippie flower children with no real thoughts of their own reign supreme. Don't worry it gets better since seemingly 3/4 of the staff (including professors) is either incompetent, lazy, or beyond arrogant. I thought this place was a dream when I read about it, now that I'm here, I just want to graduate and never step foot on this campus ever again.

- Sadly still attending as of 4/16/18

I don't know who has left all these positive feedbacks for this small college - not university. You learn absolutly nothing at ESF and that is why the tutions are low. Faculties are among the worst with no actual research. City is so cold and snows all the winter long. Don't waste your money at ESF, if don't have money to go to an actual university then go to community college but stay away fro ESF. You learn nothing as the faculties know nothing.

This is a fantastic school with so much to offer! People are extremely welcoming in this small feel school and the professors want nothing but the best out of their students. The dorms are beautiful with private bathrooms, the campus is small and accessible and the building are gorgeous. If you care about the environment and truly enjoy getting to know people of different backgrounds and disciplines, come to ESF! Become a stumpie today!

No teachers teaching. All TAs teaching; who s time your wasting . Poor quality, poor guidance, no Fs given! Extremely difficult and disappointing! Everyone is failing chemistry currently. Impossible to move on from when everyone s GPA is junk. No help offered and no TA hours available. It s a joke!!

So I thought this college was the place for me well let me tell you this college has a certain culture. I am not a person that gets down on myself but all I did when I was at that college was cry and I even hated going to class. I love learning also, its not like I hate the learning aspect of college. I transferred in and I left after one semester because it was not the right fit. If you are going for ERE dont, the classes are way harder than they need to be.
Also I went to get help with what I was going through and there is not a single person there willing to help you. I messaged the therapist and she responded back sorry I'm busy all week and never responded to when she was able to meet up. So I never got the help I needed.
On the upside, it is a small campus so alot of professors are willing to help. And the dorms are nice. Also another perk is it is right next to Syracuse University and you get all the SU stuff for student rates.
