Never had a bad time here. Though the blow dryers in the washrooms suck.
Selection of good food! And friendly staff, good patio view as well.
It's alright. I just wish they had more options for lunch other than pub food
Good beer. Disappointing salad. Salmon was waaaaaay overcooked. Chowder broth was thin and clams were scarce
Drinks are good but really need to revamp the menu and shrink it down a bit and make some good quality options. I do come here for a quick drink when I stay dt at the pan pacific as its across the street. Have eaten here a few times but now just come in to have a drink.
Enjoyed the drinks there although they charged my "vesper" for $16.5 each little glass.
Very quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Veggie burger was pretty good with a savory nutmeg flavour. Wifey had seafood chowder which was amazing!
I have changed my review from a one star to a five star for so many reasons. The first time I went to The Rogue my salad was soggy and everything just felt wrong. After the manager contacted me, I decided to give them a second chance and it was worth it. Their menu contains a variety of foods from a variety of countries in which they expertly make with exquisite detail. This is quality food and if you are looking to have a good meal at a restaurant, this is the place to go. Amazing service, interesting environment, and unique food.
Had quite a few of their appetizers here. Really really well done!
Reasonable variety of decent bar food and good selection of beer.
Went for Happy Hour during the week.... The Fish tacos tasted like cardboard, and the truffle fries were dry and boring without a dipping sauce.
Mediocre at best- but a fair price. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the original "tourist trap"
Decent food and service. Nothing outstanding. No problems. Convienent location for working downtown.
This place has some amazing food and drinks. An absolute highlight in Vancouver.
Food was fair, as was the service. Much better food in this city.
Came here for a work party. No seats, food came infrequently, and in really small portions (even for appetizers)
Food isn't the greatest. Staff are quite stuck up despite their colorful attire.
The food taste was average. Less than a minute from convention center.
Great wings, I mean great!! And the dry ribs were tasty, Ceasars were delicous!! But no Ranch Dressing for the wings, none !!! Tell me what place doesnt have Ranch Dressing???
The Beyond Cheese Burger was fantastic. Service was great also
Rogue burger was good! Little bit too charred for my tastes. Their Ceasars salad has sweet croutons. Interesting twist.
It's usually a great time at Rogue. Drinks are pretty good and the beer is excellent. Our server/bar man Ian (from Dublin!) was brilliant, and we hope we see him next time too. They do a great job hiring staff at this location.
However, I do have to deduct a star. Last night, a group of us (10+) were there for drinks after work. Almost all of us tripped on the lip/step going out to the patio at one point or another during the night because the warning sign wasn't up, and we just didn't see it. My wife unfortunately tripped and seriously bruised her knee, but got a complimentary drink as an apology. She can't walk today but it'll heal eventually!
We'll still definitely be back, but it'll be awhile because she's gotta heal up. And maybe we'll stay away from the patio next time :p
Food - Ordered the Cajun Salmon Risotto, the salmon was a little over cooked but tasted great nonetheless. I did save it for last so perhaps that why. The risotto was great and I'd definitely order it again.
Drink - Blasted Church, "Bing Bang" 9oz
Food was good but the it was hard to get the staffs attention even though the place was almost empty on a Saturday night
The food here is just ok. Worse is the dust and dirt blowing around the ceiling above the kitchen where food is prepared which can be seen through the glass while you are eating.
Good food and awesome service. Best part, they do Whiskey flights.
Expensive, service is slow and could be better, food is just so so, nothing to rave about.
Service was slow and mediocre. Food was OK, but nothing you can't find anywhere else (and I mean anywhere).
Such a great place to visit. Food is too much delicious. I will recommend everyone to must go over there
Over priced, over hyped. There's really no good reason to go there. You can get much better food with better service for way cheaper in this city.
Great place for food and drinks with decent prices. Plenty of seating but very odd lighting situation. A little too flickery for my taste. The servers were all very lovely and had good customer service.
Happy hour is great especially the wine; but I had the Ahi tuna poke bowl and the grilled lettuce taste disgusting! I don t even know why they have grilled lettuce in the bowl! The lettuce is burnt and it ruined the poke!
Great atmosphere and nice patio. Staff are friendly and service was quick on a Wednesday evening
The food was very good, and the menu caf a nice variety. Our server was attentive, and very nice. I had a burger, and my wife and I split the poutine. I also had the peanutbutter dessert.
Beyond that, the girls may want to wear longer skirts. The stairs leading down to the outdoor patio was slightly "revealing" for most of them.
The staff here is very kind and make the whole experience excellent!
Swanky joint with good flights o' whisky for those who like a drop of the creature.
Shayla was an awesome bartender!! We will definitely be back! Great prices for downtown and great drinks too! My husband liked the cake!
$ 25 for original burgers and beer. I used the outdoor terrace, but it was quite hot when exposed to direct sunlight. The bathroom was a private room, and there was a wash basin inside.
Rogue is a really good place. The food and service are great.
my favourite rogue location, especially in the summer with the covered patio. good food (I love the chowder and the quinoa/kale salad), good drink selection, good prices. can be busy and yuppy-ish due to location.
Pretty decent beer selection, and the nachos weren't bad. Its a bit pricey but overall 3.5 stars.
Bright and colorful on the inside. Went on a Thursday noonish. Food was cozy but average, beer was good. Good for a lunch time pit stop. Would try again.
I love their clam chowder and power salad! What a great combo. Just went there for happy hour tonight, and our server Kasey was great! We had the flat bread and steak taco.
It's a little expensive for what you get, and the food isn't amazing, but the drinks are good!
Great whiskey list... large facility suited for groups or an end-of-the-day drink at the bar.
Fantastic restaurants. The staff were so nice and friendly and the food was so good. Conveniently near the Vancouver Convention Center, so makes getting a quick bite really easy. Will definitely come back here when I'm in Vancouver again.
Ordered the salmon sandwich and grapefruit juice. They both tasted fine and the portion was filling. The price came to around $20.
Had the beyond meat burger that they had to offer. Absolutely delicious and juicy. The location just makes it the perfect place to go.
Steak Frites was a little dry, homemade chicken strips appetizer is a good sized portion and the plum sauce was sweet. Atmosphere was good and wait staff friendly for our group of 15
update: I am changing my 1 star rating to 3 because the manager Bryan reached out to me and was very accommodating and tried his best to follow through with my experience.
Went for dinner last night and had a poor experience overall. I got the fried chicken sandwich which had a bone in it, my partner had the chicken and fish tacos both which were terribly dry even after adding hot sauce. We waited a good 20 minutes to pay our bill. We could see our waitress on her phone at the bar, we eventually gave up waiting and asked a different server to take our payment. Would not recommend.
Rogue is an awesome place for happy hour, but be warned, their happy hour food is 90% tacos. That being said, their tacos are fantastic.
Seating in the bar area has great views of the TV, all of which tuned to sports, making it a bit of a more elevated place to hangout after work than a typical, louder sportsbar.
Very nice food and fair price (for it's location), menu isn't huge, but offers enough variety that everyone from the family can find something.
Service is a bit slow, and the servers tend to leave you alone instead of bugging you all the time. May be we visit them on the wrong time.
I go here for lunch and the staff is always friendly. The food is great. I love their happy hour deals.
Great service and fast. I found the poke bowl had some weird flavors that we're fine by themselves (tomato and mini cucumber, but didn't go with the pineapple spicy poke bowl)
On the pricier side for the food offered, but a nice place
Very nice venue and great service. Food quality needs to improve to earn a higher score. Prices are fair.
Food was OK. Nothing stands out. Probably won't go back.
Nice restaurant- its bigger than it seems. Menu has a great selection of foods. Service is great and matches the food. Good place for lunch as orders come up quickly letting you enjoy your meal.
Had a fish taco and a bun thingie that I can't remember the name of. The flavor was "Jackie Chan". Pretty good! And a nice vibe, I liked the orange glow the place had.
Amazing menu, service, setup and Ambience. It was a pleasant experience for me and my wife ( celebrating our wedding anniversary). Won't let you down, and that's a for sure.
We hosted a company lunch here recently. What I love: they offer pre-ordering which makes it more efficient for business folks who have limited lunch time, they accommodated a large group, they packed lunches for those who couldn't make it, they remembered who ordered what, the food was a generous portion, the food was delicious. I've never been disappointed when i go to Rogue whether the one on Waterfront or the one on Burrard. This has been my usual hang out place for about a couple of years. Consistently good service, prices are reasonable, happy hour offers a good selection (for my taste) and overall good value.
At first was leery to enter Rogue, but I was pleasantly surprise at the good service and great food and excellent prices. I would not hesitate To return.
Went after 9pm in search of somewhere relatively quiet to have some light food. Very fast service, delicious seafood chowder, and some great Okanagan wine. The ambience is smart and modern, with screens showing sports, but it isn't a sports bar.
I've been there twice with a group. The service was pathetic both times.
Decent food. Had mediocre service experience, so you're experience may vary.
Okay food near the convention centre. Probably better as a bar. They do unpleasant things to Brussels sprouts (which I feel should be green).
