YMCA of Greater NY Review

The place is a mad house to much noise with kids and the elderly.

Was a friendly atmosphere. Just needs more employees.

They need to better their programs and staff inside of schools like ps 194

My locker was broken into twice. IPhone then sneakers stolen.

The staff were really welcoming and informed. It has a family type of cheers vibe. They are always wanting to hear what members want and ways to improve. The classes are 5 star classes they did not play with hiring great instructors! Wow ! N I never had my stuff messed with but I lock my stuff up so maybe the lock helps. Our membership goes to a not for profit organization that gives back to the community. Umm yeah I'll go here thanks

Free full court basketball on Tuesdays. Good competition

I love this, they even have a gym, dance and much more.

The staff was nice and friendly but the facility is old/outdated and small. The showers area has an old smell :-/

Don't go there. My stuff was stolen from the locker room. Even if I used locker but it didn't work. And just in that day I was the third person. No safe.

I just came in to ask for the prices and to know what services tey provide but the front desk guy was unhelpful, rude, using his phone all the time while we were talking and he said that there is nobody that can show me the place.

The staff was friendly and the equipment was top of the line and well set up to maximize the experience. Everything was clean and they accept canadian membership.

Zumba class.on Saturday's is always fun and a great workout.

The staff is very friendly and classes are great. It's a great value for a gym.

The Flatbush YMCA Is the Best gym I've ever been to the staff are very welcoming I wouldn't want to go to any other branch.

Had a first experience at this community, when first entry they made you feel welcomed like your one of them, definitely worth signing up for if you into athletes

On Sunday July 28th, I returned to the center for what should have been Day 2 of my Three day Guest Pass, and the person at the front desk was AWFUL to me and my son. I'm not sure who he was because he did not have a name tag on, nor did he want to identify himself. He kept insisting that I had not visited the facility a couple days ago and have me a few erroneous dates on which I supposedly had. He was very ride and should not be working there. I told him I was going to contact corporate about his behavior and he threatened to call the cops.

Staff is friendly and it's very Queen so far great experience

Interesting little oasis. While not a memeber i have visited their installations and it is welcoming and offer several services including a yoga class. I recommend.

Did the zumba with michelle, she was subbing, she did great

Boy I don't have a great review for the YMCA in Flatbush got a membership there for my son so he can play basketball and turns out that the gym was not open the entire time I had the membership to top it off I cancelef my membership to find out they're still charging me for the membership 2 months later unfortunately I want to give this more than two stars but I just can't. still trying to work out the Kinks but I will say the people on site like Matt and the front desk staff are awesome. so I don't want to hold them responsible for this review

Excellent customer service. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful especially Gordon. Amazing service!

Some parts of the gym can use a little sprucing up but I love this location; it's conveniently a few blocks from me with great instructors, staff and prices.

The most friendly Y, even I am going to Prospect Park Y and others for the past 10 years! But others slowly become unfriendly!

I came to this y for more than a month and from my experience the staff are fine but many who go and exercise are extremely rude and flirty. I have tried to talk to the director about it few times but I couldn't reach him. I really think this y is not a safe environment

Nobody showed you how to work the equipment bathrooms barely clean

Great facilities! Gym, pool, as well as class rooms for meetings and instruction.

Omg, I love love love the family feel of this place, and the group classes, partcularly the pilates and yoga classes! I hadn't been to a gym in forever and it took me a while weigh the pros and cons of the various gyms I visited; the Y was like coming home.

I love the super attentive and friendly staff that works at this YMCA. Good job guys, great place to work out and have fun
