Friend ordered the lobster roll. Waitress forgot to put in the order, half hour later... when everyone is getting their food, she informs him she forgot to put it in and they are out.

This place looks good from across the water but when you actually go there is nothing good about it. Food is boring and not what you'd expect at a rib place. Music isn't loud enough for the people eating to enjoy, just the bar crowd.

The best shrimp and food in the area. Loved the ocean view. Food delicious. Had a band so much fun on the deck. Prices so worth the experience.

This place is pretty cool because they not only have good food, but bands play there on weekends, and they have karaoke every Sunday! It's also quite the view as it is by the waterfront and you are able to sit outside to enjoy your meal.

First time I've stopped in here. Will be back. Food was cooked perfectly. Price was decent. Nice comfortable dinning area outside seating has a decent view. Service was friendly, gonna stop in to try the BBQ and maybe that lobster bomb.

Like this place for music and atmosphere....food has been OK to pour to great. Guess it depends on the cook staff but they try hard.

Have never eaten here but love the landscaping . They always put large Queen palms out for the summer and it always makes for a nice picture

The food is ok. More of just a drinking bar with good music

Nachos were alright, but the music was so poorly set up! I went to the bar to spend time with friends and we were shouting at each other so that we could hear each other. The band was set up outside, playing into bar which is basically a 3-sided box. It's alright if you're here to listen to music, but that's not why I go to a bar on a Wednesday evening.

Live music can be a plus but can also be a little too loud.

This place is a dive bar for dive bar enthusiasts! Right on the water overlooking the Niantic River, most days you'll be treated to a rough and tumble crowd of friendly locals and bikers soaking up the sun while listening to one of their great live music acts. This place gets a little "Jersey Shore-ish" in the evenings once the sun comes down and they switch over to the DJ, which may or may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Awesome place. Great beer menu, I loved the waitress, and the food.
I recommend if you are in the Niantic area!

Perfect stop for a drink while out on the motorcycle. Even better treat when there is a live band. The view under the drawbridge is amazing watching the boats coming in and out.

We checked out this restaurant because it was near to where we'd been staying. First of all, we asked what they had on tap, and they said they had nothing because of the season or something? I've never encountered this at another bar or restaurant. I think our jaws hit the table.

I ordered fish and chips, and my companion had tuna tacos. The tacos were pretty good: better than I was expecting, honestly. The fried fish wasn't to my liking, however:the breading was a bit soggy, and the middle of the fish was chewy.

Overall, the food was OK, not outstanding. The location is really lovely: we ate outside. Maybe you'd have better luck with ribs as the name suggests.

Went here on a Thursday night with live music! Prices are reasonable, and they have dollar oysters after 8! Atmosphere was great and it was interactive with the band

We got the burger on texas toast and fish and chips. The ladder was delish but nothing compared to that burger! Sweet potatoe fries were over cooked. Nonetheless, I'd go back.

Sundays are boat days and what better to eat after a long day fishing? Big juicy ribs!!! The staff is always friendly and the drinks are strong. Dont forget about the sunset ether its beautiful.

I love it at Sunsets!!! The atmosphere is bright and lively!!! The staff are lots of fun and soooo kind. The music is always great to dance to. I'm constantly meeting new people there. The food is A+ and so are their drinks. They are by far my favorite place to go at night in the spring, summer and fall!!! Plus there's a beautiful view of the marina.

Just lost 6 customers terrible service over 1 dollar. Two friends came back on leave from the coast guard so we went out for a good time & we left with a bartender going out of her way to make us feel bad about not tipping yet on
2 draft beers saying "we don't serve people who don't tip". Which a 20% tip would of been a dollar. We are good patrons who tip well normally wasn't expecting a rush to do so. Very unprofessional conduct by the bartender and technically against the law.

Went to see band and didn't wait long at all for table upstairs outside. Perfect night and view. Food was good!

Went there in a party. And stated it was split check and the end came and the bill was all one. We ask the waitress to split it an hr later after arguing and asking for the manger the manger comes over and we explain and she said she wasn t dealing wit it. I ll never b back.

I ordered the scallops provencal. The scallops were deliciously fresh, but the sauce was oily and broken and the risotto was crunchy the waitress was very apologetic and accommodating. My husband's budget was great.

sunset ribs it's a little overpriced but it's on the water you can sit outside or inside it's a bar type atmosphere you have drinks, fish sandwich, nachos, and other seafood items. on the weekends they usually have someone playing a guitar outside. It's a nice place to stop and have a beer have a snack because in Connecticut you have to have something to eat if you drink because of Covi d.

Very good food and service. Of course we went on the first day it was nice out last weekend! But that was okay; we sat inside and had a few drinks before we ordered food. The food was delicious. In love with their garlic cheesey bread. Will plan on going back multiple times this summer.

Can't beat a four dollar beer.....but other than that, it is over priced and under whelming. The food is just okay and the portions are small for the price. This place has live music and an amazing view to help make up for the lack of food.

Amazing food [they have beef ribs that are ridiculously good], efficient staff, and beautiful view. The only thing stopping me from giving a 5 star review is that it badly needs a renovation.

Food was poor, worst fish and chips ever, service mediocre, at best. Chippy waitress. Ultimately, took manager to intervene and help.

Loved going here until a recent experience, where a bartender got off work and decided to put her trash on our table. Would have said it was okay if she asked but she just slipped it on like we wouldn't notice. Then after we pushed it off decided after a little argument to go to the manager to say we spilt a shot on her. Way to lie to get your way and get us kicked out and of course no one wanted to listen to our side of the story, at least the manager didn't care and from other reviews I can assume he only cares about the bartenders and waitresses. Not his paying customers. Excuse was " she had a long day" well so did all of us working our 9-5 jobs. Wanted to show our friends this place since I loved it and have been here many times. Never again.

Yummy food, great views and very
reasonable prices!

The ribs were good, if a bit over sauced, but the outdoor patio and the boat traffic thru the drawbridge and the sunset over the water were terrific, and the Paul Lussier Band had the place jumping! And a shout out and respect to the sailor's from the USS Cole who shared their liberty with us!

We enjoyed a lovely evening overlooking the river last week.
Service was prompt, friendly and courteous. The food was fresh, hot and delicious.
Will definitely go back again.

Everything was excellent and in big portions. It has a great view of the water and prices are more than reasonable. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the ahi tuna wrap over labor day weekend here and they had great live music.

Everybody was great from the doorman to the bar staff. They got drinks quickly and cleaned up empty cups/glasses quickly as well. The four of us enjoyed the atmosphere and staff. We didn't feel the DJ unfortunately. It was a Friday night.

Sunset Ribs is my favorite bar in Connecticut. Stating the obvious: the sunsets are amazing for photos. The food & drinks are great and the staff makes every customer feel special. Can t wait to go back this summer!

Love this location. Happy hour or dinner on the deck overlooking the Niantic River is always just beautiful. Food is always very good, service is better upstairs than downstairs (upstairs is the dining room, downstairs is a very busy bar). Live music on a regular basis - which can be too loud when sitting outside unless you re there specifically to listen to the band. We re regulars here!

Drinks were horrible, bartender Was drunk and rude he keep making different drinks of what he was asked and got mad when we refused the drinks, almost on an aggressive way, I order a sweet potato s fries and was charged $7 I will never come back.

Excellent summer spot. Saw numerous bands, had some good summer drinks and enjoyed the views. Worth a stop on a good day.

We were sitting at the bar, got the feeling that we were an inconviance to the bartender. We asked for menues and order our food. We saw food arrive but she was too busy texting. Was standing liettraly a feet away and not even once asked how was our lunch was, after which she took our friends plate without even asking if she was done. The location of the place and overally food wasn't bad, as long you stay away from avocado, but if I you are looking for friendly service, strongly do not recomand.

Great food and atmosphere. Live music, serving staff was attentive, and the view from the top deck is a great view of Niantic bay.

We have been going here for over 2 years. Until recently it was good. I have given them 2 chances this month to redeem themselves from the awlful service experience. They failed !!!! From getting charged extra for items we had to wait almost 45 minutes to get to the waitstaff that literally never came around. We go out fishing every Saturday and this was our spot. No more. Save ur money and go somewhere else. Food is great service ruins it for sure.

Awsome nite. Opening nite for the season. Got to get up with the band and sing some ac-dc. Great place.
