Sundance Mountain Resort Reviews

After a beautiful drive through the picturesque Wasatch mountains, the bar at Sundance is a perfect place to stop for a great bite to eat and hang out with friends.

Rooms were nice with a good rustic feel. All the materials used throughout the resort appeared to be carefully selected and well thought-out. The only complaint I would have would be the temperature of the room at the end of July was hot. The bedroom had a portable air conditioner which helped but didnt completely cool the whole cabin.

My compass and I went for a walk in the owl bar this with everything! He recommended it to everyone! The service was great and the food was delicious.

Skiing was a ton of fun! There's wasn't much snow on the ground but there were some great runs and the service is very friendly!

The cabins are amazing and so cozy. I've been there 3 times with my company and head back again in December! River run is my favorite set of cabins! I was in RR2 and the river was RIGHT outside my window!

The owl bar is a must stop! And brunch on sundays is INCREDIBLE! Like to die for

The top of the lift has amazing food and we are DEFINITELY getting the nachos in December! Our stay there is always incredible and I leave there feeling so refreshed and loved!

I can wait to go back in December with my husband for another work trip and stay for a few extra days!!

It's a classic boutique ski resort. Excellent restaurants. Exquisite cabins.

We stayed at your resort a few years ago for our anniversary. It was an incredible experience. The accommodations and the the staff were unparalleled.

We were thrilled to stay again for our anniversary, a little early this time because my wife is scheduled for some pretty tricky surgery for parathyroid cancer later this month.

As before, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful and even brought us a little treat and hand written card for our anniversary

Unfortunate about 8 PM a group of people checked into the room above us. I don't know how many people there were, but I am guessing several were children. The jumping and thumping was quite loud, but we just attributed it to children who had probably been cooped up in a car, traveling all day.Unfortunately the noise continued until well past 1 AM. In addition to that the noise from the shower, the tub and the washing also continued went on until well past midnight.

The ruckus began again around 6 AM the next morning. We finally just got up made some coffee. This entire experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially considering the circumstances. We had hoped to get away for a quite day from the world and all our cares.

Again, your staff and the accommodations themselves were absolutely wonderful., but the noise from above was just intolerable.

Very beautiful mountain resort. The views are breathtaking and the resort itself has an incredible ambiance. There's a relaxing stream that flows throughout the lodge area that creates a peaceful experience.

I love going to Sundance. Although it's not the highest or best resort in Utah, it's so close to Provo and is generally uncrowded on weekdays. I got 2-3 times a week and it's always a blast.

Very scenic and peaceful. Very relaxing to be out with nature.

Excellent views, lots to do, parking is limited in the lower lot but a shuttle runs between the upper lot and the resort.

Pleasant area to walk around, great restaurants, activities such as zip lining, ski lift rides. Very scenic drive to and from.

Sundance Mountain Resort is in a league of their own. Quaint, high quality, well-managed & comfortable. A beautiful, romantic setting where you can ski, dine, get a room, hike, camp & see great Sundance Film Festival movies.

We got married here March 30th and had the best time. We were well taken care of and the Sundance crew did an amazing job with ever piece of the wedding. Our room was perfect and big enough for all my bridesmaids to get ready in. We even got to ski down during the wedding! Sundance is a magical place.

World class and not commercialized. Did a bit of ziplining. Incredible...40+ mph. Reasonable rates too.

The magical thing about Sundance is the dramatic scenery. Just incredible.

I had a bad fall due to icy steps leading to and from my room. Although I was upgraded to a different room and one of my nights was credited, it put a damper in my overall Sundance experience. I could not sky, I could not walk far as I was sore from the fall and was unable to see some of my preferred screenings in Park City as well as attend other VIP venues in Park City. I am still looking forward to hear back from the resort as I ve requested to return again next year in lieu of having this visit credit in full. The rooms are beautiful. Too many steps for my after my fall. The location is lovely and the service was very good for the most part. I am still looking forward to hear back from the resort regarding going to Sundance film festival next year and enjoying all the VIP perks that I was not able to enjoy during this stay.

Absolutely stunning! The staff was kind, but the actual resort was beautiful.

The food at the Foundry was great but the restaurant itself was hard to find. They could use more signs.

Sundance is a great place to get away. If you are looking for a simple time on the slopes this is it.

I went to a play up there. It was a lot of fun. Kinda of cold at not so bring blankets. And get there early. It's a cool location. Great scenery. And the play was fun.

I hadn't been in over 40 years!!!! Now my daughter is attending BYU, took her up to show it to her. It's as beautiful as I remember. Exceptional staff. Even the deli food was 5 star!! Prices high, but it's a resort and, well, worth the price paid. Deli lunch with amazing lemon t as rt dessert was $32. I believe the Sunday buffet was $41/person. Next time I'm budgeting for it.

It was not "crowded", per say, but WAS full.

Worth the trip? Absolutely. Robert Redford should be absolutely proud of what he's created!!!

Amazing get away! Everything's spectacular. From the details in the decor to the amazing lodges. Great experience, awesome customer service.

Sundance is a good, cheap ski resort for beginners.

We went to Music Man at the outdoor theater. It was a beautiful production and so fun!

Located in a scenic place. The mountain view is great from here.

Beautiful trails, hiking biking walking & more! Utah is beautiful! Thanks to those who made this possible!

We took the ski lift to the top of the resort, giving us quick access to several enjoyable hiking trails.

I attended a work Christmas party with my husband's work. We had dinner and a hot chocolate bar both were very nice and the company was fantastic.

Was able to go night skiing with some family for a good price. The snow was a bit sparse and icy but besides that it was a nice trip.

I ate at the Foundry Grill restaurant. Order a hamburger and it was very tasty.

Jessica at the ticket office was of great and service and help. Had a wonderful evening on a moonlit chairlift ride.

Great service and beautiful scenery. Close to many trails for skiing, mountain biking, hiking and sightseeing. There is a zip line nearby that is open even during the winter season. Perfect location for business and pleasure. My only complaint is that the website is not explicit about the requirement of chains/AWD in order to reach the lodge during certain days of the winter season.

Utah County would be lost without Sundance Mountain Resort

Not my favorite place in the world, but it's so close it doesn't make sense to go anywhere else. If you live in Provo/Orem the proximity is worth the inferior quality.

Dope and awesome Resort for snowboarders! My friends and I were there this February and we absolutely loved it! Great price and excellent service! We got there around 1.30pm and the front desk offered us the full pass that included the night pass. We were able to ski til 6.30pm with our friends, enjoy the amazing snow they have there and then we stayed in the coolest speak-easy bar (a must visit place!!!!) that it's called the Owl Bar! Awesome drinks and vibe! The coolest people and everyone was super super nice with us! we enjoyed the full resort, snowboard every inch of this place and their lift works really good! I highly recommend trying this place and spending one day snowboarding! you won't regret!

Fantastic ski resort. Not as large as some of the other Utah Resorts but a fun location with nice slopes and beautiful views.

Great location. The snow was slushy and heavy but that's prob bc it was warm that day.

I loved visiting such a lovely place. I had the pleasure of riding up the ski lift you to see the beautiful vistas around thos part of Utah! Although the experience was a little pricier than I liked.

Pretty location, friendly staff, rustic and romantic rooms, great venue!

Small resort so it gets really busy on the weekends with only four lifts to choose from but if you go when there aren't a ton of people it is amazing. There are some black diamond bowls on the back mountain that get a ton of snow and even on the weekends aren't crazy busy. One on the less expensive resorts and still tons of fun.

Nice getaway in the mountains for a breath of fresh air.

We went to the summer, outdoor theater production of the musical Oklahoma! It was absolutely outstanding! A few days later we watched the old movie of the musical Oklahoma. Seriously most of the actors and actresses at Sundance were better. There was a lot more humor at Sundance. We laughed out loud many times.

The full zipline tour is amazing. I highly recommend it

Sundance is a throwback resort to a much simpler time. A place where 1 base lodge was sufficient. Friendly staff are helpful, kind and personable. The views are second to none and you feel connected to nature. The only drawback is the chairlifts are a bit slow but in a lot of ways that's just fine.

This was a fun place to visit. Nice and quiet with great weather when I went. I will definitely be back here to visit.

Such a beautiful place. The food at the Foundry Grill is spectacular and my massage was exactly what my aching body needed. This is a great place for a special occasion!

Not the best snow around, pretty expensive considering the better resorts that are an hour away. Still fun and gorgeous though.

The Halloween lift ride was super fun. I highly recommend it. Make sure to layer because it can get super cold. Also the hot cider is really good.

We love it. It s not the best skiing in Utah at all but we love the night skiing. Great places to eat and not packed at night.

Beautiful surroundings but I came home with a rash on my eyelids and eyebrows and must have gotten it from something in the room. When I called to find out what kind of laundry detergent they used I was directed to a housekeeping manager with no voicemail setup. Kinda disappointed for $300 a night. Beware if you have sensitive skin.

Just visited Sundance to walk and look around and it was such a beautiful experience.

Had a great experience! Whole mountain was open. A little crowded, but it was Saturday, so no surprise.

It was a beautiful room with great atmosphere. However, the room had a hot tub on the patio and my wife broke her wrist falling getting into the hot tub because there was a solid sheet of ice on the steps. It seems like something you would want to make sure is safe for guests.

Lunch at the owl bar after morning hike. Angus burgers with garlic fries where excellent
