While not as large or full of snow as the "big" Utah resorts, Sundance is nice and close to home. This makes it nice to get a few runs in and then go back home without making a whole day out of it. They also have good deals frequently, so look out for those.

Sundance is unreal. My mom was a gardener here my whole childhood and so it always feels nostalgic, but this awesome resort has great places to eat, awesome places to chill, and fun activities for all ages. Mountain biking, zip lining, chair lift rides, skiing, art classes of all types. You can't go wrong with Sundance.

We take our family here for holiday skiing. Prices are great, the cafe is great the staff is friendly , everything is great, no seriously as a Mom I m picky about where I take my kids. They have parking and shuttles that are constantly running we never waited more than a couple of minutes. There s a chill run if your learning all over again or it s your first time.. they have a little system to pull you up so your not exhausted walking up the bunny run all day. Everyone is cordial. I don t like the bigger over populated ski resorts because we don t go that often and always spend time getting back on the bike persay. They do have plenty of bigger runs and harder runs double diamond etc... but if your more like us and want to laugh at the fact that you used to be a pro and can t stand up and stay straight for the life of you, you ll feel comfortable doing it here!

Bit tricky to get to when dark, but trip worth it. Food excellent, very attentive wait staff in a beautiful log cabin like restaurant. Parking no problem. Would go back in daylight to see the views.

We went to the Sundance Resort on the 24th of July for Pioneer Day. My family and I spent the day. Hiking, biking, riding the ski lifts, and dining at the fantastic restaurants. The staff at every turn is top notch. From the top of the resort to the shuttle drivers, all were very friendly and helpful. This is a must location if you want to enjoy our great Utah Mountains. Family friendly.

It is a very impressive resort. We did not stay there so I can't say anything about that. From the shops and restaurants we went in and browsed things appear to be expensive and aimed at taking advantage of the resort name.

Had a catered dinner for a conference there. The grounds were very nice. Buildings were rustic. The food was good. Had a bit of trouble finding my way around the campus, but eventually found the dinner. Don't know if the caterer was Sundance or some third party.

A nice mountain to ski. Very crowded on Wednesday night 2 for 1, but that s to be expected. My only suggestion would be to add more lighting to the mountain. At night the snow conditions are varied and you need to be able to see all the way down.

I wanted to try a different resort in Utah and came to Sundance and it was a very unpleasant experience, and I ve been to a lot of resorts in America and Europe!

I took my friend to the learning area that has a tow rope. That thing is extremely dangerous and not beginner friendly; let alone for goofy snowboarders. I got yelled at that I can t go up riding goofy because it s apparently a safety hazard so they made us go up backwards which obviously was near impossible for a beginner. Every other person (ski or snowboard) has a really hard time using it.

The chairlift kept stopping literally every chair and the line moved very inefficiently.

Also, half of their ski and snowboard instructors are not wearing helmets. Not sure if safety on the slopes is as important as on the tow rope... way to be a role model for children, Sundance instructors.

Two starts only because the food was not overpriced and the upper mountain had decent terrain.

Had a work conference at the resort. The conference rooms were nice. We used our own A/V equipment and didn't have any issues. The provided meals were tasty, though the beffet table wasn't always restocked as quickly as I would have liked.

The staff was great about clearing snow around the lodges and meeting rooms. Less so around the cabins (river run specifically), but nothing too bad.

I only stopped here after a hike up the mountain. It seemed nice but I didn't have much of a chance to look around since they were closing. I stopped in the guest shop to potentially buy a gift but I found the prices a little bit expensive.

It s a nice resort and has really great lanes for skiing and snowboard. For breaks, there are good options to eat and rest, and free WiFi. The ski lanes are wide, and you have plenty options of food and beverages for the times you are resting. It s one of the best mountains and resorts of the region.

Sunday Summer Get Away 2018/Date Night with my husband was perfect.

This is the 2nd time we have attempted to head up the mountain on the lift. Last time it was closed due to a nearby fire (for safety reasons). This time we could only go up the first lift because we arrived too late. On that note: I would suggest you visit their website for any up-to-date information on weather conditions and closures.

When we came back down the mountain the sun was beginning to set and a live band was jamming in the grassy area right at the lift enter/exit area. Tons of people had chairs and blankets set up for this FREE concert!

They had a food truck (with drinks and alcohol) there but we missed it and went into the dining building to get a sandwich (WHICH WAS SO BIG WE SPLIT IT!) . The beer wasn't cold (enough) and it was a hot day.

I didn't notice if you were allowed to bring your own food in, people were doing it. Dogs were on leash and allowed to be there to enjoy the concert as well there were little ones running around enjoying the perfect weather and soft grass. Pack a blanket and pillow to really enjoy this place!

We'll be back - what a perfect date night.

Always a good time at Sundance. Got to ride the lift and go mountain biking. The trails were very well kept. The staff was kind and professional. I'm excited for the winter season! Very nice veiw on the way up the lift. Highly recommend for anyone interested!

As a local skier in Utah I ve been to nearly every resort. My first time here was terrible. I ducked a rope and went maybe 20 yards past it for some fresh snow. It was not clearly marked anywhere that they would pull my pass. No tolerance rule. They escorted me down the mountain like a 5 year old and made me sign a document. Utah Valley at it s finest! Never coming back.

While the scenery was beautiful & the cabin we stayed in was private. The beds are less than desirable. Our mattress was very hard, lumpy and really had no support. Not to mention very loud, any time you moved you def heard it! We expected much more in that department. We visited the spa which I would review with 5 stars separately. Unfortunately we also ended up with a bit of a sunburn from outside activities. The general store didn't seem to care too much what we were inquiring about, as the girl didn't even look up at me when I was asking her if they sold aloe vera. I approached her at the cashier desk. However, Tanner back at the check-in desk went out of his way to look around for us & was able to find a bottle in the first aid kit they had, and were able to put some in a cup to take to our room. That SAVED us that night with our sunburn. Sometimes you don't remember to bring everything, if it were not for Tanner we would have had to drive a half hour to the nearest store and back late at night.

The buildings and scenery are gorgeous! We ate lunch here for a work meeting $$$. For the most part the service was great but a colleague of mine had a bug crawling around in her meal and we later found a long brown hair cooked into my cheesecake. I would probably take the drive back up for the hikes and scenery but the restaurants just aren't worth the money.

SHAME ON YOU!!!

SHAME ON YOU!!!
Sundance just changed their season pass policy. You now have to buy TWO adult season passes to get a discount on your children!!!!!!

HELLO... What if you are a single parent!!!!

So Sundance just raised their prices for season pass holders also!!

What Sundance is basically saying is that they are only wanting families with dad AND mom before they will give you a discount and they raised their prices on top of that!!!!

Guess I won't ski here anymore :-(

Very pleasant for a summer pit stop during summer mountain hike/drives. Its a small mountain, but the summer chairlift rides up and hike down are fun (don't bring young kids: the lift is too steep and the hike down too challenging). We like the bar and restaurant a lot, but there aren't many other activities for drop-ins other than a quick walk around.

Thank you for providing such fantastic experiences.

I really like Sundance because it is so beautiful. I made reservations there to ask my now wife to marry me. Unfortunately, the front desk staff service was so poor that it marred what I was hoping would be a great weekend with great memories.

Gorgeous! I highly recommend the two chair lift ride to the summit where you can view breath-taking sights in the summer! Even my husband and mother who are afraid of heights rode and said it was completely worth it. Also, the Sundance Sunday brunch is INCREDIBLE! Best brunch buffet I've ever had. Hands down. Take your date or family there for a special occasion and sit on the patio outside for a memorable, and delicious, morning. I'll be going back again and again to Sundance!

Sundance is a magical place and has the best service! I had my wedding at Sundance after staying a few times and not only did I receive amazing service but every one of my guests raved about their experience as well. The rooms are all unique yet comfortable and authentic. The restaurants are incredible and offer something for everyone. I can't wait to plan my next trip to Sundance - my favorite place on earth!

We have 2 small children and reserved a mountain suite with a King bed. In the pictures online there is a door between the bedroom and the living room, which for kids is a big deal and we paid extra to get this. Instead we got a smaller room with a Queen and no door which made the first night a long night where both of our children woke each other up and none of us slept much.

On the second day there was no cleaning service so we did not receive fresh towels or even toilet paper.

To make things even worse, during our son's nap time the next afternoon they had roofers repairing the roof. It sounded like a construction site in our room with loud music, nail guns, hammers, and other loud noises directly above us and coming down the chimney. My wife called me in a
panic because nap time is precious. On the phone, I could barely hear her because of how loud the noise was. My wife then called down to the reception desk 4 times to ask them to stop the construction. Nothing happened over the course of TWO HOURS. Nap time was ruined. Instead of getting the roofers to stop, they finally had us pack up all of our bags and check into another room. This room looked just like the pictures which left me wondering why they gave us the other room to begin with. Not impressed with the Sundance Resort.

Sundance is a smaller resort, but their culture is amazing. It is a great family resort. Service has always been pretty good, although sometimes you can tell that they are hiring teenagers/college students. Overall, we love Sundance.
