Another peice of Memphis heritage. come see where Rock and roll was born. So much history in such a small place is amazing. Our guide was great, very knowledgeable and yet entertaining at the same time. Seeing where it all happened was great.

Nice stop at the studio. Took the tour. It was fun and entertaining. Our guide was a blast! Knowledgeable of the happenings of the era to current and overall represented very well with some comedy. Only two areas to the tour, upstairs is the small "museum" area. Downstairs is the recording studio. With many original items. The studio is still used currently to record artists.

Took tour of Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee. Recommended by another woman who said she was "meh" about rock 'n' roll, to which I agreed. But she said it was great and I again agree fully! Greater appreciation of the music and starving artist concept and recommend tour. Hard to find! Trust your GPS.

Don't be swayed by those who have little knowledge and appreciation for history! - - - This is an AMAZING place and changed the way music is played around the world!! The shadow of influence by the muscicians who started in this little studio, and those GREATS who still record in the studio is to be cherished! This was my second trip from Houston Texas to see SUN studio.

The famous Sun Studio, Memphis, Tennessee, where many of the legendary rock and roll, blues, R&B, and country music stars recorded.

Among the renowned artists recording here were Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King and Howlin' Wolf. Also home to Sun Records, the studio was opened by Sam Phillips in 1950. Many consider it to be the birthplace of Rock and Roll.

Many of the reviews said this was just as cool as Graceland if not cooler... idk about that but certainly a lot of history. The tours could be smaller certainly tight... many people suggested we go there so we went, if you are someone who finds joy in standing in the same spot where many great artists recorded many great records you will enjoy it... I personally enjoyed Graceland more, way more to see but if you don't have 1/2 day to spend at Graceland then yeah go see...

Wonderful tour with a lot of history. Tours were every 30 minutes and lasted about 45-an hour. The guides were very helpful and you could purchase items/food while you waited. Its also in a very cool part of town.

If you want to see where Rock N Roll started, this is the place to go. They also have some good root beer and soda! They offer guided tours, which are not expensive and I recommend doing the tour as you get to see all the exhibits as well as see some original records and machines Sam Phillips used to bring some of the most important music stars in history.

You can also buy some records here, but they are a little pricey.
