Loved the studio and seeing all the pictures and memorabilia. Tour guide was awesome and good. Large group, was a little hard to move around and see everything without bumping into people. But was very satisfied.

Great informative, fun tour. The guide is fun. Be prepared to climb some stairs.

A must do when visiting Memphis if you are a music lover and Elvis fan!

Awesome! The place is very cozy and they offer the guided tour until the end. The guide explains the history of the studio and its celebrities, while also playing the most characteristic Sun singles. Sincerely, in my opinion, the best museum in all of Memphis for its originality, guidance and conservation.

If you're a fan of rock 'n roll, you'll want to visit the place where it all started. Sun Studio is the birthplace of Elvis's music and was recording home to Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and many other music greats. The tour is very interesting and the guides are extremely knowledgeable and entertaining.

This is a very informative tour. If you haven't been, Go.

Great tour, really worth a visit even if you're only in Memphis for a few hours. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Amazing place in history and very well maintained to walk through on the tour. There is a gift shop lobby with lots of souvenirs to buy and snacks to eat.
Must visit when you are in Memphis Tennessee.

I didn't really expect too much from this stop off while in Memphis, especially having visited Graceland the day before & feeling let down by the Graceland Tour Staff!....Wow was I ever in for a surprise!!! Sun Records was the best part of our stop off in Memphis!!! I think our guide's name was Jane?..but she was a high energy, short, cute & highly knowledgeable treat!!! She really made you feel the relevance of the experience of being in the historical location where so many musical greats got their start!! I would definitely do this tour again!!!!!!! LOVED IT!!

What can I say about this place but OMG, to be in the exact building where Elvis and so many other great artists emerged it gave me chills.

Love the Historic building and sign. I got me a sun studio magnet. One day I would like to go upstairs it was $15 fee to check out the studio where the legends record. Hopefully soon when I'm back in Tennessee.

Amazing Experience. What a site to see. Guided tour with so much history and memorabilia. You can touch Elvis's and Johnny Cash's microphone that they actually sang into. I'm geeking out. You should too.

Absolutely fantastic. To stand in a room where so many iconic figures have recorded the sounds that have made history is indescribable. A must for music fans.

It was probably worth going, because it's legendary... But honestly it's overrated considering the price of the ticket. They do have some cool exhibits but the museum portion is one small room, and the studio, while great in its own right, is basically just an empty room. Lots of history there, and there's some value in the guided tour, but it just doesn't seem worth the ticket to me. Money better spent would be a visit to the Stax museum over on McElmore Ave.

Love, love, love Sun Studio! What can I add about the place where so much marvelous music and history has been made? You can almost feel the ghosts passing through the studio. The tours start at the bottom of the hour and last around 20 minutes. We had a lovely and knowledgeable tour guide filling us in on a brief history of the opening of the studio in 1952 as well as Elvis Presley's subsequent discovery there. At the end of the tour, you're allowed to photograph and video all you want in the studio. I only wish I'd been allowed to linger just a little longer in the studio; I wasn't ready to leave this shrine that quickly!

Could it be more historical? Got almost goose bumps to stand where Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and many others started. And rock'n'roll! And stand with their microphone! And the guide on the tour was so dedicated! Absolutely amazing!

I would highly recommend visiting Sun Studio anytime you are in Memphis Tennessee! Out of all of the places that I visited when I was there Sun Studio was my absolute favorite. The staff is wonderful and the music history that they have in that building is unbelievable! 5 stars!!!!

Fantastic our lovely lady guide brought everything to life, and we were transported back in time,we purchased good value gifts to bring back home.

A piece of Memphis and rock and roll history. Like stepping back in time. We didn't do the tour due to lack of time, but we looked around and took pictures in the front.

Ples Hampton gave us an engaging and memorable tour of the studio. It was filled with interesting anecdotes and laced with humor. Definitely worth the fee. Neat t-shirts and souvenirs.

Stand in the recording studio of what began a musical revolution. Music lovers need to stand inside the walls that contained the greats.

If you love music then this is a must visit if you are in Memphis. In my opinion this is worth a visit over Graceland even. The importance of this place in the history of music is unrivaled and without we wouldn't have music as we know it. The birthplace of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more Sun Studio brought us the music we know today.

Get there early or buy your tour ahead of time online as they do sell out. Also, for the musicians out there it's still a functional studio at night, meaning you can stand in the same spot and use the same microphone as Elvis if you wish.
