Great place for everything and everyone has spo much to you could spend all week hear

Stop making everything only available online or audio. I want a real book!

One of my favorite libraries in the area. Excellent programs for adults, e.g. lectures, cooking classes, antiques (Jason Adams), needlework show, photography show, book clubs, etc. Great at getting inter library loans. Helpful reference desk. One negative: When downsizing or selling my home I've donated tons of books, multiple times, over the years which are then sold at the Friends of the Library sales. I've never once been thanked.

I love libraries and have worked in the Columbus Metro Library System for years. I know how to give good customer service and what it looks like to receive it, but unfortunately, I did not experience good customer service today at the Stow Library. I obtained a card so we could use materials when we are here in Stow to visit my 98 yr old mother-in-law. I came in today and made the mistake of asking the person at the check out desk if she would check in my 5 dvds so I could be assured the card was cleared before we left the area. "We do not check in items at this desk" was her reply. You can check on line later to see if your card is clear. It would be understandable if there were a line of customers waiting for her to check out their items. However, that was not the case. There was no one in line. Since we were leaving the area, I would not have been able to check online to view the status of my card. I explained that, but evidently, policies are more important than people. It would have taken all of 2 minutes to check in my 5 dvds and let me know my card was clear. THAT would have been good customer service.

It was my mistake first of all that I used their library PC to do part of my AI project. I collected almost an hour worth of data on the computer. Before I was done transferring the data to my thumb drive, the computer restarted itself. I talked to the desk about the data recovery. They replied, "there is no way the data can be recovered". They added, "I should always save my work". I told them, "Well that's what I am trying to do and the computer restarted itself." Then I asked if I could use another hour to replicate the data. They said, "No, each person are limited to one hour due to Covid-19". My one hour at the library was a total waste of time. The best thing they could do is to say sorry and they didn't even say sorry. They just blamed everything on me for not saving the work. How would I know the computer restarts itself 6 mins before the time.

Those old fat women have no clues when it comes to technology beyond wiping off the tables and chairs when you leave.

Great local library!!! My seven year old son loves to come here..... And he is not one who likes to read!
The children's area is fantastic. Has a very large selection of picture books and books for young readers. These are also several areas that are kid friendly to get the little guys comfortable and in the mood for a book.
I will admit the majority of my time is spent in the kids area. So I can't really comment on the rest of the library. But based on this area, the rest has to be just as good.
I love coming here with the family. Definitely quality family time!

I love coming here with my kids. Their upstairs kids section is a great place for kids to blend reading and play, and because it's separate from the rest of the library, the librarians aren't constantly shushing the kids like I've experienced at other libraries. This is a great environment for kids to learn to love reading.

Great library! They have a ton of kids programming. We go there at least once a week to get our weekly rotation of 40 books. Decent selection of Blu-ray movies, and the latest titles in books and magazines. Fresh decor in the kids department really makes a big difference. Friendly staff, with helpful advice and expert knowledge on all things books. Also does passport applications.

Good Staff And All But I Dont Really Like How The Only Bathroom In The Building Is A "Gender Neutral"

Super rude staff. I work at a library and would be appalled if one of my staff or coworkers treated people the way they do. I live close but will be using other libraries instead just so I don't have to deal with the rudeness of the reference staff

Great selection and ability to get books from all over the state. Love that you get to keep DVDs for a week before having to return them. I also look forward to the books sales! They are the best!!

They are all very friendly and helpful. I absolutely LOVE it there.

Staff is cold both in person and on the phone. They make you feel like they are going out of their way to do something for you. Also, make sure you double check your account after you return items, smfpl often make mistakes when checking items back in. Other than the employees, the Stow library has awesome content and is a great place.

Always clean and super helpful and friendly staff. I like that they continue to buy local from their vendors. That is important in a community!

Being new to the area and coming from several years working in a library, I am honestly quite unimpressed by the service of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library. The library itself is nice and I have had a couple good experiences but overall, the library seems to lack customer service. I have read reviews on here from other people who have worked in libraries and I think it's interesting that most of us feel the same way. It has the potential to be a fantastic library but cannot live up to it if they don't step up their customer service and treat their patrons with respect and kindness.

The library itself is a very nice place but there not many places to go if you wanna study in peace. They call it their quiet area but the librarians scream on the phones & talk loudly to each other. One librarian freaked out on me because I wasn t aware that my sandwich wasn t considered a snack & it could damage the historical pieces that are locked up in a glass case.

This library looks like a chic hotel. Everything is so organized and there is a whole floor for children and tween titles. You can even check out musical instruments. There is even an art gallery!

There are many wonderful things about this library: access to free audio books on your phone (Hoopla & Libby apps), the ukuleles, guitars and drums you can check out, and of course the plethora of movies, tv shows and books that are available.

PR really makes an effort (and succeeds) in bringing in some truly excellent artists: photographers, quilters- there is always a cool display. The librarians are knowledgeable and helpful and the library itself runs a local photography contest that s always fun to check out.

The staff is very rude, always seem like they've been forced to work at the library....I try to avoid interactions at all cost.

Wonderful little library. Has a station where you can rent guitars and ukuleles. They also have video games and a good section for teenagers.

With all the bad reviews you would think this is an awful place and its not. The staff that helped me was so friendly. I loved the lay out and the place is nice.

worst libary always calling me when disk are miss placed at their libary when I turned them in saying the movies are missing when I checked ever disk every movie their until I turn them into libary funny how they just disappeared just by turning them back in redickless. always losing the disk when I turn them in

This is a WONDERFUL library. STOW/ MONROE FALLS LIBRARY stands as the heart of a community that treasures literacy, author events, children s chess clubs and tutorials. The children s events and teen art projects are well attended and creative. This library offers everything from yoga and meditation classes, to live monthly classical music performances. Their monthly free events include: jazz concerts, exotic food and cultural demonstrations, civic and historical outreach presentations, and holiday celebrations designed to entertain and enlighten diverse, multigenerational audiences. They boast bi-weekly one-on-one technology tutorials with librarians who are specifically trained to teach people of every age and competency computer and research skills. The Librarians and event coordinators on staff are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about their community and erudite about literacy.

Great staff, great collection and wonderful library!

Its a great library with alot of reading, listening and visual educational and entertaining material. Also they have alot of educational and fun events on every single week. Staff is super nice !

My wife and I are in the process of finding a new home. The Stow-Munroe Falls library has become such a part of our weekly routine that we are trying to stay in the area. We've never had a problem with the staff and find them very helpful.

The library should be a pleasant experience. The desk and reference staff for the exception of one who does the excel classes are rude. Usually I take into consideration bad days, but every time I come in, they have an attitude. Management should tackle this issue because I am not the only one with this observation.

Awesome! Good selection of books as well as all the other media. Great children's programs as well as adult speakers. Very proud of our library!

This library is amazing. They have every book I want and an amazing e-book selection. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. The facility is very nice and has a very calming and positive energy. Love this library.
