Very large restaurant that stretches out in length. Very loud acoustics. The food and drinks were brought out very quickly. The drink prices are cheap. The skewer lacked a little spice. The service was very friendly and quick.

Very nice place. Unfortunately, the service staff is sometimes inattentive and listless. The quality of the dishes fluctuates between excellent and sometimes rather mixed. Still worth a visit.

[I removed my original criticism regarding the plastic bucket behind the counter because a privacy screen has been in place for some time. Here you obviously learn from mistakes ]

The boot lies perfectly between Beethoven Haus and Motel One. The food (we had goose) was delicious and the service extremely friendly and quick. If you are visiting Bonn this is definitely the ideal place

Typical brasserie, beautiful setting and friendly staff .... we ate well despite the lack of a French menu ... only German and English .... little info you can ask for the book which is on the bar with all the photos of the dishes .... easier to order!

Very good place for connoisseurs of good German cuisine. The selection is small, but so much the better. There is something for every taste. You sit comfortably and can have a good conversation and delicious food.

The boot is probably one of the most famous houses in Bonn. We were recommended the boot by the city guide and it was just the right choice. Rhenish dishes, which are very typical but also many delicious salads, which were of course great in the weather! We were even allowed to play the piano :-)

The shop is beautifully designed and if you like socializing, you will get your money's worth here, because you can hear every guest from almost everywhere. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether this is a minus point, I thought it was nice. You are right in the middle of it here.
The food really leaves nothing to be desired, I have rarely eaten such a good Wiener Schnitzel before. As tender as butter and wafer-thin, I still get an appetite. Even the small dishes are made with a lot of love and are not too sloppy. Simple bread with sausage etc. tastes just as good as the main dishes. The staff is very friendly, even when it is really full.
The toilets are always fully in use and very clean. The only downer is that you are in the middle of the hall and so many seats are looking at it. Fortunately, the background noise in the shop itself is a bit higher, so that you don't hear any noises from the toilet guests.
All in all, you really should have eaten here.

Good food, good beer, traditional German feel to it too. What let it down for us was that someone had arranged with the staff, for a surprise drink to be delivered to us, but it never arrived. Not sure what went wrong...That aside, the visit was a good one.

It was incredibly busy but we were not bothered by that. We were helped quickly and the service was very friendly. The price / quality is great. Right in the center so easy to reach on foot

A traditional Bonn pub 2 houses away from Beethoven's birthplace, open daily from 12 noon until "late". A typical Rhenish brewery with good local cuisine, where you can meet for a beer or a good, hearty meal. The staff is happy at work, I have never seen "suffering", listless waiters here. The kitchen is usually still open until around 10 p.m.
Thursdays is steak day: 200 g rump steak with French fries and herb butter for only 11.40! Except for one time, it was always tasty and good.
Depending on the weather, you can also sit outside very nicely.
The guest rooms are an extremely long hose with lots of wood. The richly decorated, carved wooden columns and the ceiling in the bar area as well as the wall paintings are very beautiful.
The inn was founded in the 18th century. operated. Beethoven's father is said to have been a regular guest here, so that condolences were expressed to the landlord when he died. The brewery and distillery have long since disappeared. The building now belongs to the Bitburger brewery, which has leased it further. But since this is largely unknown, there are good local beers.

A really good dinner! The place is in the center of a pretty area. The gasthaus is beautiful inside and outside. Very suggestive! The food was really good related also to the price and you can try typical dishes. A good place to come back

Nice big restaurant. The food tastes delicious and comes after the order reasonably quickly to the table. The prices are moderate. The service could be a little more polite. That's why there's a point deduction from me here.

honestly ... alone for the food I would have given 5 stars ... the Rhenish sour roast was really delicious! but the ambience? zweiertisch in the "entrance" ... the table was really ok ... but why is hanging over me a huge tv and football is running ... and all waiter at the bar staring in my direction ???? is this a restaurant or a sports bar ??? well ... maybe more important that the waiters feel comfortable instead of the guests conclusion ... eaten ... was delicious ... after 45 min quickly out again ...

recommendation: nope! I do not go back ...
