The windows.... that's it. For summer/early fall events, Don't do it. No air conditioning!!! It's horribly hot! They have equipment out jammed against the walls in full view and its visually unappealing to guests. Personal accommodations had guests trekking through work areas. Could be a beautiful place... just needs work to make it a place for formal events. The modern industrial feel is nice.

We chose Sticks as our wedding venue this past September because of the beautiful floor to ceiling windows and modern industrial vibe. It is a blank canvas ready to take on whatever you dream up. Anthony Marinaro is the event contact through Out of Box Productions and I could not speak highly enough of his service and attention to detail. Any question I had or advice I needed he responded very quickly this was also a deciding factor for us as we realized in the early stages of planning that is not the norm in the wedding biz. We did not hire him for day of coordination (although if you're able, I recommend that you do he knows the ins and outs of the building and has done many events there) but he was still very helpful in many aspects of planning and preparation. A true pro!

We had planned to have the ceremony in the beautiful wooded area right outside the building but because it rained we moved indoors. There is a completely different area for the ceremony that does not disrupt the reception at all so it worked out well. It turned out to still be a beautiful ceremony!

The 36' chalkboard in the reception area made for a great canvas for beautiful, simple decor and is truly unique to the space.

The downside to Sticks is that there isn't air conditioning in the building. So if you are thinking of a summer wedding I would keep that in mind. They do have many large industrial fans that helped, though. Also, they have some strict policies on rentals, catering and vendors so I would be sure to read through the contract and understand fully what you are getting into before you book. Although, we found everything we needed to be fairly reasonable and worth it.

Overall Sticks was a beautiful space with well organized people working to make sure your event is the best it can be. Our guests raved about the space and how beautiful it was in the evening. My husband and I recommend highly!

Art is suppose to be unique, Sticks has no originality. Seriously, I had my 11 yr. old nephew paint some hearts, stars, house, and a few smiley faces on a piece of wood and gave it to a co-worker who thought it was from sticks. I did not correct her and this is a perfect example of why not to purchase anything from sticks. They have tons of so called artist that paint the same thing which looks so elementary and priced so ridiculously high. I don't mind paying high dollar for art but it has to be unique, beautiful, creative, and brilliant. You will certainly not find a masterpiece at sticks because you will never be able to differentiate one artist from another. Art should not be copied off by hundreds of people which is why they are probably called painters and not artist.

Sticks is a great venue if you want the best of both outdoor and indoor locations. The lighting inside is lovely with a whole wall of windows to let in lots of natural lighting. As well as a dreamy outdoor area with plenty of tree coverage for shade. It also gives a wonderful woodsy feel. Utilizing one location instead of two can save so much in a wedding time line for travel etc. You wouldn't have to worry about going to and from ceremony, photo location, and reception venue.
