Beautiful piece of unspoiled nature. Bicycle paths are beautiful, well maintained. Don't expect to see animals on a busy, warm Sunday afternoon, you have to get up earlier for that. But worthwhile as a nature reserve.

Fantastically beautiful park with countless places to discover. We were almost 7 hours by bike in the park and have not seen everything there is to see. Although we did not see any mammals because the park was too busy that day, we were overwhelmed by the scenery alone. The pure beauty of nature. The next visit will definitely be on horseback, because you do not want to miss the great riding trails there!
Anyone who has never been to the De Hoge Veluwe National Park before will have to go straight to it !! The Park offers a fantastic variety of woods and heath and heights and lows. Dry and wet areas alternate. The Park is also very large and you can best rent a bike to enjoy as much as possible.
Fantastic park with lots of walking and cycling opportunities. Went there a few years ago, when it was not yet closed with gates. Now it is. And one has an entrance fee. This means that accessibility has a slightly higher threshold. In exchange, however, as a visitor you get a loan bike that you can grab from a rack. And considering renting a bike is included in the price, it is not too bad. Don't forget to also visit the museum.
I have been here for years with pleasure ... unfortunately everything is less: To prevent queuing at the checkout, I ordered tickets from my holiday address via internet. 1. It is a pity that only after you have paid is reported that the reading of the smartphone is not, and that you have to look for a printer ... 2. When you arrive at the park you still have to queue at the ticket office to have your ticket scanned! Because of these 2 points, the possibility of ordering tickets in advance seems to me a totally unnecessary luxury ... 3. Unfortunately, more supervisors / park rangers will also have to be hired here ... the freedom to walk / explore the park with a white bicycle is apparently too much freedom for many people and it is necessary to cycle where it is not is allowed to walk and where it is not allowed ... too bad for one of the few places in the Netherlands where game may be wild and live ...
The entrance will cost you a sloppy 26 for a car with two passengers, an absurdly high amount for what you get to see. I think a salad is being taken out of it
We had a great day at the park. The white bicycles are easy to find and they are genereally in a good condition. Sometimes I wished for more signs along the road or some information about where you are and how many kilometers are until the museum (there are some signs at intersections but they are very far apart).
Wonderful place. Can see quite a lot of wildlife. Including deer, wild boar, red squirrels, and and abundance of bird life. Within easy reach of Amsterdam.
Fantastic national park that's very diverse in many ways. Take the white bikes (for free) at one of the 3 gates (Otterloo, Hoenderloo, Schaarsbergen). The length from south to north is about 15KM, so perfect for a loop in the park by bike!
The national park was beautiful and nice. But never use a restaurant-don't I had a really absurd experience. If you have to use Guji, especially if you are a foreigner, You need to check your receipt. One bottle of wine can be counted as two bottles Also, make sure to compare the cost of meals with the menu board ~~ This is an absurd restaurant~~
a wonderful place to walk and cycle through natural landscapes, dunes, waterways and the splendid Kroller Moller museum, which once housed over 100 Van Gogh paintings (now often loaned to exhibitions in other parts of the world) ); on a beautiful day it is an indescribable experience
Nice place to visit. It's a big park or even forest with long bicycle trails. The bicycles are free. The entrance is cost you money. I won't say that this is a must place to go when visiting Holland. Yes, it has its buity, yes you may see some animals. Yes it's nice to have a bicycle trip, but..... there a lot of people, at least in summer. The free bicycles are not too comfy, and if you want some extra you need to pay. This place is excellent for locals who bring their own bikes and having fun.
The design style is special, blending with the environment and nature. Single bicycles and two-person cooperative bicycles can ride by themselves in the park.
A beautiful place and beautiful nature. It is a pity to have to pay to be able to walk in nature, but if that keeps this area that way, I will pay for it. Super place to walk with the dogs
Je word voor de gek gehouden! De wilde dieren worden gevoerd Door de boswachters, dit zie je niet maar zo worden de dieren gelokt. Je betaald veel geld voor n kaartje, oplichters.
Very beautiful area, beautiful nature, beautiful views. Cycle paths with emergency identification markers. However, we have been able to spot little wildlife and the cycle paths are often narrow and busy. Catering is well looked after and corona test.
If I have a favorite place in The Netherlands, than it is the Veluwe National park. The scenery is very beautiful and the landscapes vary from dunes to forests and even lakes. These is an entrance fee, but it includes free bike rental within the park, which you can lick up and drop off in multiple points across the park. Also, a wide range of animals can be seen in the park.
Harstikke leuk natuurpark en op een regenachtige dag is het aan te raden met de auto het park in te rijden, dan blijf je tenminste droog en kun je mooi door het park toeren.
Self-service and almost always flat bikes. Restaurant in the center of the park plus the museum and the sculpture garden, which alone are worth a visit. Very beautiful landscapes and beautiful forests. Some animals are sometimes visible, but you have to be careful to see them. Small and friendly geological museum and faunas in the center in case of rain or small fatigue. Priority to bikes in the park, the walks are a bit heavy if they have gone back and forth, but there are bikes in the center.
Very nice park, you can cycle, walk and through it with the car / motorcycle. There is a lot of wildlife to see, foxes, deer, etc. There is also a museum, where you can see everything that lives on the high Veluwe. It is very educational, also for children.
Cycling is great fun. The (natural) park is huge and there are loads of bike trails. We arrived at six in the evening, parked outside and took a two-hour bike ride when the park was almost empty. Reservation: We were not in the cafe and restaurant and we have no idea what they are like.
A gallery with dozens of paintings by Van Gogh, among other painters, as well as an outdoor garden with a hundred and one sculptures of top-level artists, all within a natural park. The park is not completely wild, its morphology has been transformed by human activities, but that is also where its interest lies. There are 1800 free white bikes with a baby seat available to visitors, to explore the park. There are also children's bikes. A hunting pavilion and an underground museum complete the offer. You can get the car to the park, it costs 7.55, better buy online ticket to skip the queue that is mounted in the box office.
If I want to leave busy Rotterdam for a moment, I would like to come here. What a rest! Just completely ground with myself and it is good to do in all seasons.
Nature with a fence around it. So in fact a big deer park. Nature for the rich.
I am a member, but that is out of necessity. I live in Arnhem and if you don't become a member, you can cycle along 80 km of roads if you want to go to Otterlo. To prevent this, you will have to become a member.
Entrance fee is high
Patronizing, one hour before closing time you will no longer be allowed and you will have to cycle. As if people themselves can't keep an eye on time.
unfriendly staff.
This park must abolish itself and donate the estate to natural monuments or state forest management. It is unnecessary to turn this into a park. It is similar to the environment and should therefore also be part of it.
The worst thing is that it seems as if I support this park, that is how I am in the books. Rightly so that they do not receive a subsidy, but they make it seem as if they do not want that.
Very interesting area to walk. Lots of diversity of nature and the associated species of plants and animals. The visitor center is very neat and clean which guarantees a well-kept appearance.
The new accommodation with restaurant and shop looks beautiful. A bit commercial though. It would be good if the old information building became even more informative and updated.
You know, of course, that the park offers a lot of nature, but never really knew that it was an enclosed area. You imagine yourself in a completely different world. A lot of green and sand with the necessary animals. A nice place for walks or for cycling. There are various routes with many varied areas. Very pleased here.
Beautiful forest. Wonderful for walking. Often a long wait at the entrance. Admission prices are absurd, 10 euros per person to be allowed into a forest that should actually belong to 'the people'.
Start riding to the right Notice that locals pedal there very easily For those who have difficulty riding, I recommend starting from the right as there are fewer increases It is recommended to stop and have a picnic in the fort area. You can choose a regular bike or pay for a special and then really enjoy it
A beautiful national park with a very high (in my opinion also unnecessary) entrance fee. With a bit of cycling you can spend half a day through the park. Nature is pristine and beautiful. A bit too touristy for me and with that I will next time choose to walk for free in the Veluwe around the national park.
Beautiful nature: Desert, pine forest, deciduous forest, plains, it alternates beautifully. Ideal for taking a free white bicycle and cycling around for a day.
Great place to be Take at least a whole afternoon but I would recommend an entire day The bikes have the breaks on the pedals (if you cycle backwards) but they are free and blend nicely with the place. A nice touch is that they are prepared to take small children on the back The museum is very good Take your time and enjoy the park with good weather
