I was very impressed with Herman Bros customer services, advice on selection of the right fabric and style. The dinner suit tailored made for me was constructed with premium lightweight interlinings, trimmed with fine attention to details and a comfortable and perfect fit.
Herman is a really nice guy, and definitely knows what he is talking about. The suits he offers are hands down the best value in Australia. They compete with offerings that are considerably more expensive. Very much recommended!
I had a couple of suits made here recently and was extremely happy with the overall experience and end results. From the first fitting, Herman was able to provide a lot of very helpful advice across the many customisation options available. Throughout the process, Herman was also extremely transparent and communicative, giving regular updates as to when the material was cut, expected delivery times, etc. As expected, the suits turned out perfectly and were of a very high quality. Herman was recommended to me by my Manager because they were looking for a place to get customized suits here in Sydney for a special occasion. When I looked into their website it looks very decent, safe and reliable. So when I went to the shop I didn't feel any put ons nor did I feel that he was trying to coerce me into buying anything just to earn a buck. Honest, Elegant and Trustworthy.
His shop is modest, but you know that there is that nostalgic feeling when suits were supposed to be the choice of clothes if you want to go out. But don't get me wrong as he offers a lot with value. Details are important in life, so check out his table where he conducts his business and you'll be surprised and be amazed of what it is.
On my first consultation with him, he was very keen on knowing my needs and preferences. An open ear means an open mind. It only shows how he wants to get it right. He asks a lot of questions, he's got good methods in measuring you. That's why he got my first one suit right.
The waist measurement was spot on that you don't even need braces for support nor a belt if you prefer one. The sleeve length half a centimeter right. As a testament to his work, I wore a custom made shirt when I wore it with his suit, the little bit of shirt fabric showed itself with just the right measurement. The suit also showed a great silhouette,gives me good comfort like just having a second skin.
All in all, what I can say is the suit fits like a glove and I'm a fan and I'll be coming back for future suit commissioning.

Got a Herman Bros Black Tie suit made for my sister wedding. It was really good, best part was the fit not too fitted but still had a good cut. Liked the wool fabric, very smooth and seemed like a pretty good quality. Picked my own lining and monogram - that was pretty neat.
Would buy again.
Finally found a tailor worth returning to. Having tried multiple tailors both in Aus and overseas, can categorically say Herman has nailed the fit first time, which was a big surprise! Highly recommended.
I ordered the package with 2 suits and 5 shirts. First one is a grey pow check and the second a navy blue suit. They were both really great fit (much better than my Suit Shop suits), very comfortable and I was very happy how they turned out. I love the shirts too, great fit also and very comfortable with the softer collars.
There were a couple of hiccups with my order (extra pair of trousers was missing from the grey suit and the lining of the navy suit was different from what I had ordered) but Herman was quick to try and rectify these issues.
Overall, I am very pleased with how the suits and shirts turned out and I have been recommending Herman to my friends. Furthermore, it is definitely worth forking out a few extra pennies for the Italian fabric.

Herman talks you through the dozens of options at each stage of the process, including jacket and trouser style, lapel width, lining, buttons, etc.
My first suit from Herman Bros came back in about six weeks and the fit was spot on first go. Herman's prices are incredible value when you consider an off the rack suit with alterations would have cost about the same. I'll be returning in a few months to fill out the remainder of my wardrobe and couldn't be more pleased.
