Great food and service in a highly atmospheric and mysterious building.

Meat was cold, not the way as ordered, wine way too warm, service took 2h until served main course, out of coke zero on a sat evening...

The food was decent - I don't know enough about Dutch food to know his authentic it is, but great service.

An excellent place for lunch or dinner. Menu is fairly limited but everything is good. Lunch is an exceptional deal. All of this in an historical castle with candle lit chandeliers. I visit this restaurant on every trip to Amsterdam

Really wouldn't bother, can't comment on the food but I waited 30 min to even be given a menu. Rude staff, poor service, who knows about the food quality, I didn't hang around to be ignored any longer

Nice and welcoming place. Good beer, but I don't recommend boiled hamburger-style black angus.

Very nice establishment great bare and food. The candlelight sets the mood for an excellent meal. Check this place out you will never forget the moment.

The service is doing its best and the place is ok, but I still have a bit of a feeling that it is not. This can be explained by the fact that the mussels presented to me were not cooked. Even though everything was resolved well and I didn't have to pay for the mussels, a little more effort would make the difference.

The external part of the restaurant is very suggestive, inside it has undergone a restyling which in my opinion has nothing to do with the outside. Average food, like the price.

Great for beer and appetizers. We didn't do dinner here. The cheese sticks were excellent, Gouda wrapped in rice paper with a spicy mustard dipping sauce. The spring rolls were also good.

Atmospheric restaurant with co-lighting with real candles, where we have enjoyed cappuccino with apple schit from Kuyt.

Great location. Food choices and shopping everywhere nearby. Staff was great during check in and rooms are clean and modern.

Terrible service. The waitress literally would look away each time I tried to ask for something. Didn t serve me even water until 20 mins after being seated. The food portions are ridiculously small. Main dishes are more like entree s. I do not recommend this place.

Good pilsner sold here, and a great atmosphere to drink it.

Excellent food and drinks for a very decent price (coming from Switzerland). I would recommend it for a group restaurant, less so for a romantic dinner.

I very much enjoyed the time spent there and would go back again any time.

We came here for lunch. The service and food were good. The only one thing that I'm picky about is the steak was not cook as we wanted. We ordered medium-cooked steak, but actually the steak was medium well even well done.

The place is very picturesque but the attention is bad, it took a lot to serve us, to bring us the menu and to bring us the food, they were only quick to charge. The prices are reasonable. The dishes were tasty and of adequate size. The tables are quite close together, so you are likely to hear other people's conversations. The bathrooms are downstairs, so who has mobility problems is a problem. The cleaning of them is adequate

I must say, not the best beer in the world but I think that might not just be here, I'm not sure it's a strength of Amsterdam.

"The Anatomy of Dr. Nicholas Tilp" was created by Rembrandt at the age of 26 and is also his famous work. Today, I learned that the waag restaurant that had just had lunch in the past few days was called the New Market Anatomy Theater. In the past, the bodies of criminals who had just executed the death penalty were transported to the theater for public anatomy classes for doctors to learn and communicate. Rembrandt was invited by Dr. Tilpu to create this world famous work.

Really excellent food, with amazing outdoor seating in the heart of Amsterdam. A little pricey, but the food an DC location was totally worth it.

The restaurant located in a structure done back in the 15 Century. One can grab a snack here or a beer when visiting the area and get the nostalgic feel. There is a market next to the restaurant. Located next to Nieuwmarkt Metro Station.

Only had drinks and appetizers, but it was wonderful! Just to enjoy the inside of this 15th Century building was amazing!

Beautiful restaurant with a unique history. This was one of our favorite meals in the 2 weeks we drove around Europe. Be sure to ask your server about the history of the building. AMAZING!

Very good Dutch food the service was great.. located in the central area with lots of stuff to see around. we came by without a reservation but they still found us a table which was great. Crispy pork belly was very tasty

I ate here with a large group yesterday. Such a thing is not easy, both for operation and kitchen. But it was great. Very good food. Nice service. Very good atmosphere. Recommended !!!
